Situated close to the beautiful bastide village of Fources and only 5 minutes away from 2 other of France's officially listed prettiest villages(Montreal and Larresingle) Le Petit Rouchino is located at the end of it's own private drive. Secluded but with great views of the picturesque village of Larroque (a few minutes walk away)and the rolling Gers countryside. It is impossible to underestimate the location the property enjoys being ideally situated within the so-called 'Golden Triangle' of Montreal, Fources and the cathedral town of Condom.

We had a wonderful time!

The old farm is situated on a hill in between fields filled with sunflowers and vines. We stayed there with our 3 daughters (17, 18 and 19) and some of their friends. The house and grounds are big enough so that everyone has enough privacy and room. Dudley (the owner) is a very kind and generous host. He was staying in a nearby village but came by a couple of times to clean the pool or help us out with things.

a stunning French farmhouse

A beautiful, family friendly farmhouse set in some of the most stunning French countryside imaginable. All the up-to-date facilities you could possibly need to have a fantastic stay. We enjoyed the pool every morning, noon and night. Ping pong or badminton we'd usually play late afternoon before having a BBQ and watching the sun set. If we were tired we could relax and watch a film on the huge TV. Otherwise we would go for an evening meal in Fources or the night market in Nerac (which is a must!). Days were filled by either sunbathing, swimming or visiting the copious amount of vineyards or shopping in Condom. we will be back again soon! Also, if you are like me and find it hard to completely detach from the office, it is possible to remotely log in using the WiFi.

The Farmhouse is quaint full of charm, and lovely

We had a great time, lots of accommodation with a lovely outdoor eating area great for the family to sit together. Tucked away in it's own grounds with outdoor swimming pool. Lovely villages nearby, and within easy reach of Condom and Nerac. The French markets are great, with plenty of amenities to occupy the children nearby. Within easy reach of supermarkets, and Fources has a great shop selling daily bread and croissants.

Not to be missed

Delightful charming secluded farmhouse. Home from home. Nestling in beautiful countryside. Access to lovely typical French ancient villages, and towns. Plenty of excellent places to eat. Local farmers sell their own produce From their houses nearby. Great for kids, water parks tree climbing French markets table tennis And tennis. With a lot more besides.

Le Petit Rouchino is an ideal house for a family gathering.

We stayed in this lovely house with our children and grandchildren. The setting is calm and the views are exquisite. The house is situated between vineyards in gorgeous countryside. We enjoyed eating in the covered area outside and also in the dining area inside with views of the garden. The pool area is ideal for families to enjoy a swim or just a relaxing space to read and rest. There are lovely villages and towns nearby to visit and enjoy an icecream, coffee or a glass of wine.Condom has a great pizza restaurant! We would recommend this house as a lovely place to stay with the extended family.

Wonderful Property In A Beautiful Region Of France

From beginning to end our stay in this beautiful house in the Gers was magnificent. From the moment the local manager met us and showed us around until the moment we reluctantly returned the keys and said farewell, we were very, very happy to be here. Not only was the property and facilities much more than we expected, but the region itself was far more varied and interesting than we expected as well. I just wish we had discovered this place sooner! The house itself is incredibly spacious and bursting with rustic charm. The beds were all very comfortable and with four toilets, a bath and three showers there were plenty of facilities for a full house. All the bedrooms are different and have their own character, from the expansive master bedroom to the cosy upstairs rooms with their sloping ceilings and terrace. We especially fell in love with the high ceiling country kitchen running through into the cosy living room and conservatory with it's long dining table. That said, we did most of our eating outside since we were blessed with mostly very fine weather. Outside the garden space is also very large with an incredible swimming pool and decking overlooking the rolling fields as far as we could see. With the hot weather we spent many happy hours splashing around in the pool. Some days it was so hot I don't know how we would have coped without the pool to cool off in. It was also lots of fun to make use of the table tennis table and the top field for other games like cricket. Location wise we were equally happy. Within a short to medium drive were an abundance of picturesque villages as well as shops and other amenities so we wanted for nothing during our stay, with plenty of restaurants and markets as well. The local manager and owner were very helpful and responsive to the few questions we had during our time here. We will definitely be planning a return to Petit Rouchino and will be recommending it to friends and relatives as well.

Second visit to the excellent 'Le Petit Rouchino'

This was our second visit in two years and this year surpassed the last. A great house - just made for families and outdoor living - a real home from home. Barbecue evening meals by the pool and floodlight midnight swims - all in a beautifully secluded location. A real highlight this year for the children was a visit to Auch and a quad bike trail in the forest - so good in fact we had to go back in week two and do it again! Would thoroughly recommend Le Petit Rouchino.

Spacious rustic charm

This is our second visit to this lovely property, set in the heart of the wine producing area. We promised ourselves that we would get out and about a bit more than last year, but the peaceful and remote nature of the property, along with its large swimming pool and poolside shelter make staying and chilling out too irresistible. There are good amenities in the property and the local supermarket only a 10 minute drive away. Lots of interesting wildlife visits - deer, red squirrels, huge butterflies and moths. All in all a lovely holiday.

Très belle maison au calme

Très bonne adresse, la maison est spacieuse et bien équipée, avec une très grande piscine et un coin barbecue notamment. La maison est mieux en vrai que sur les photos de l'annonce! Entourée de vignes et de champs de tournesols, le calme est assurée. A proximité beaucoup de choses à faire, notamment à Montréal ou Larressingle. Le propriétaire est très disponible pour répondre à vos attentes. Il y a même un terrain de tennis municipal (certes un peu bossu) à 100m. Idéal pour se reposer entre amis ou en famille.

Peaceful, Rustic, Quirky and Relaxed

Le Petit Rouchino is exactly as advertised and the descriptions truly reflect this lovely property. Its tranquil location and views however can only really be appreciated in person and I cannot overstate its beautiful outlook surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. The house itself is spacious and homely and with a very practical kitchen - ideal for those like us who enjoy cooking their authentic french food. The pool is superb and ranked the best we had enjoyed for a good few years by our two children of 11 and 8 - due in part of course to it being floodlight at night- so 24 hour swimming if you want it! Ideally placed for exploring the region with numerous historic towns and villages of interest within striking distance. Nerac is definitely worth a visit along with Cap Cauderoue tree climbing and activity park for those with children. We enjoyed our stay so much we have done something we have never done before and re-booked for 2016. J Hill

Informal Exellence, Relaxed and Easy to Live In

It is the 3rd time we have rented this house. It has lovely views, and is well located, with 4 beautiful villages with excellent small shops local markets and restaurants nearby. Slightly further afield are Condom, Nerac, Eauze and Agen where there is even more choice. It's peaceful, with lovely views and one feels at home immediately.

Rustic charm in an idyllic and peaceful setting

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this deceptively spacious, rambling country house. The property is in a beautiful, rural setting surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields, yet only 15-20 minute's drive from the pleasant town of Condom. The house itself has all the amenities we needed including wifi and a satellite TV that allowed us to catch up on developments at Wimbledon after a long day by the good sized pool. The large master bedroom in the oldest part of the house stayed beautifully cool despite temperatures in the mid-thirties most days and it was a particular pleasure to throw open the room's French doors in the morning. The general rustic nature of the property and the steps up to the pool area might not be for everyone, for example those with young children, but if like us you enjoy being away from it all this property could not have been better.

Spacious, quirky, well equipped, beautiful pool

The villa is set in a large and very private plot with plenty of space for a sizeable and varied group. Our group was 5 adults and 3 children and we were most comfortable. The pool is large and has great views across Larroque and to the countryside beyond. The villa is well equipped with a nice kitchen, TV when you need to catch up on the news or get a break from the Sun and the BBQ is great. Condom is a short drive away and has all the necessary amenities including a very reasonably priced public pool with slides etc for younger children. Montreal and Fources are very close and well worth visiting with some nice specialist shops and cafes as well as medieval architecture. Nerac and Barbotan-les-Thermes are also well worth visiting.

Lovely property in heart of Bastide country

We had a lovely family holiday here which is an attractive old house with a cook's kitchen and lots of handy ingredients left by other visitors. Lovely pool with great views, and nice rooms. One of our number was a young wheelchair user who cannot walk at all and there are some necessary but awkward manoeuvres (ie 180 deg turn in the wc), and the access to the pool outside has a rough pebbly surface.The downstairs bedroom is perfectly accessible as is the kitchen.and outside eating areas. The owner was very helpful when we were planning our visit.

Beautiful private peaceful oasis!

A beautiful peaceful and private location- views from the pool fantastic. Accommodation was spacious, and ideal for 2 families to share. Very rural, but only a short drive into Condom for some great restaurants etc. Auberge at Fources well worth a visit- friendly service and good value (Good way of trying something you may not usually order from the menu too!) menu du jour 13 euros for 3 courses and coffee. Quaint gift/craft shops around the centre. Some lovey "floc" tastings locally- Nerac worth a visit with its castle and old town and the choclatier!

Great house in a great location

Lovely house, full of character meeting all the needs of our diverse group ranging from sunworshippers, geeks, outdoor types craving heat and shade in a beautiful quiet and secluded location. Absolutely won over by Gers on our first holiday in the Department, with its superb medieval towns and villages, great restaurants, markets and scenery. One week was far too short. I have no hesitation in recommending Le Petit Rouchino, for the best of traditional France. John Dowds

Wonderfully situated, quiet, relaxing, private.

An amazing location, peaceful, quiet yet within comfortable distance of amenities. House spacious with everything you need, gardens wonderful with lovely pool. Ideal for couples (like us) but great value with loads of accommodation for a family holiday - lots of very interesting places to visit without having to spend hours driving in the car - and of course the weather....34 degrees every day throughout our 2 week stay! We will certainly be returning to Le Petit Rouchino!!

Le Petit Rouchino, Excellent Place, Great Holiday

The house is comfotably and very well designed as it absorbs many guests of different generations without them being on top of each other the whole time. Beautiful views from the pool. It is in the centre of what I consider the most beautiful part of France. Way off the beaten track, yet surrounded by many lovely hill towns; many only about 10 -15 mins drive away. Gascony has the best food. Lots to do locally; walks through the vines, tennis, cycling, and many other points of interest not far away. One immediately feels at home here, not a stranger in someone else's house.

lovely gite in beautiful position

Le Petit Rouchino provides a very secluded and quiet location in the Gers region which is a bit less touristy than other parts of S W France. This is a farmhouse which has been thoughtfully developed to provide comfortable accommodation and is perfect for a relaxed stay offering a shady terrace for outdoor eating and a lovely pool with views of the attractive gently rolling countryside. We made a lot of use of the village tennis court amongst the vines just up the lane (always deserted and free to residents) and did several walks with great views from the door. There are several historic and pretty villages within a short distance. The property was well equipped and maintained. A lasting memory is of gorging ourselves on the abundant cherries! Dudley, the owner, was pleasant and reliable in making the booking etc.
