Fabulous Family Friendly Süd Bethanien Home!

After college we joined the Dewey Beach scene and fell in love with the area! As singles Dewey was a blast, but as our family grew and we aged, we elected to vacation in the 'Quiet Resort,' as Bethany has come to be known. Our neighborhood is very family oriented, where you know your neighbors and a last minute pot luck dinner with friends, family and neighbors is the standard fare. Kids make friends easily in the area and ours have been in many more of the neighboring homes than we have! Bring your bikes, take walks along the canals, lose yourself in a good book (or borrow one of ours!), cook a meal in our well equipped kitchen or sample the many great restaurants suitable for any pocketbook and you will love the beaches!

We bought our home as a second home and it evolved into a vacation rental over the twenty plus years that we have owned the home. Many families and friends have made numerous memories over the years, both young and old, some coming back year after year. We have tried to outfit the home with those things that will create the perfect back drop for relaxing, hanging out with friends, beaching it, fishing, or creating that huge meal!

Our family lives northwest of Philadelphia, our kids are now older, working professionals, and they try to come and use the home when time off and personal schedules permit. Our children love the time they spend in South Bethany, as do we. We hope you and yours will too! We invite you to place your reservation and make some memories of your own!

This is not your typical rental! Our home has a personality, it is not a sterile environment, warmer than a hotel room and the peach walls, thoughtful decor and inviting setting will make you smile each time you walk in the door. Our favorite spot is the front porch with the rockers. We typically start the day on the front porch on the warmer days with coffee and breakfast treats, appetizers and a favorite beverage to cap off a perfect beach day and a night cap before heading off to bed. The screened porch w/ceiling fan off the kitchen is where we take many of our meals, and the open back porch is a very pleasant location to tan and read when seeking solitude.

The neighborhood is residential, with lots of fun places to walk or bike ride. Especially when you head out to the bay, you won't be disappointed with the views! It's one of those neighborhoods where you will see parents teaching kids to ride bikes, dad having a catch with a child or a spontaneous pop up hopscotch game.

The house can cater to ten people easily and you won't feel cramped and can find places to retire to when looking for some "me" time. The kids simply adore the Bunk Room on the ground floor, where they can stay together, away from parents.
