Great Snorkeling Steps Away

Nice property. Very clean and mostly quiet (depends on your neighbors). Great snorkeling in the bay that the property is next to. We swam with turtles during the sunset our first night. Short drive to Honolua Bay which is also very good snorkeling.

Family Time at the Cove

Yes, the booking process was simple and clear, check-in couldn't have been better, and the unit was spotlessly clean. But the view from our lanai was just as amazing as the photos, we simply couldn't get enough. To make it even better, the snorkeling in the cove was outstanding. Multiple turtles every time! Granted, the unit could use some updating. But the kitchen was very well equipped for regular meal prep. I also appreciated the meticulous care of the grounds and property. First class! Can't wait to return!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had heard about and seen vacation photos for several years from our friends, so finally arriving at the cove was heavenly! The views are breathtaking and the accommodations were perfect. Beyond the obvious, line amazing snorkeling and hanging with the turtles, it was the personal touch of Su and Ray that makes it feel like you’re welcome and matter. It’s more like a community than staying in an impersonal resort. Everyone interacts and it’s just the perfect size for feeling like you’re in your ‘neighborhood.’ Watching the daily routines of cove life from our lanai was great. Ray works hard to ensure everyone has everything guests need. Wonderful and now I understand why folks have been returning to the cove for over 30 years!

Our Holiday Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although we chose this time before and after New Years the continual noise from kids and, more specifically, the pool are and the constant running day and night in the unit next door was extremely annoying and disturbing. Talking to them did no good and the Cove needs to find a way to address the over running of the pool area. Our unit was also in dire need of an upgrade as we stayed there many years ago and it looks as if nothing was improved only worn more so than before.

Aloha Mark and thank you for your comments. We understand that your recent stay did not meet your expectations. The week between Christmas and New Years is typically a time for family vacations. We cannot control a child's behavior (or an adult's for that matter); however each guest does receive a copy of the rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding property. If it appears that rules are being ignored, we do have a resident manager who is always happy to address your concerns. With regards to the unit itself; we appreciate the critique as this is the best way to inform the owners of the condition of their condo. I hope you will consider a return to the Cove. I would highly recommend the Cove but our condo 107 is in desperate need of updating and repairs to the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. Until this is done we would not rent this unit again.

Another Wonderful vacation at Honokeana Cove

Reviewer Comments: This was our second trip to Honokeana Cove, but our first stay in #107 since we came with additional people and stayed in 2-bedroom #105 the first time.Honokeana Cove does not disappoint. The grounds are immaculate and the condo's are clean and comfortable. After a total of 24 days over 2 stays, we still have yet to use a dining room table because we always eat all of our meals out on the Lanai, enjoying the beautiful view.Snorkeling with the turtles never gets old, and just sitting out on the chairs watching the turtles come on shore to sleep in the sun every afternoon is amazing.The location is close enough to Lahaina to enjoy the amenities there whenever you want, but you can also get all your groceries at the market in Napili Plaza, which is an easy walk from the condos.Can't wait to return!
