Das Heritage Coach House befindet sich im Innenhof von Lisdonagh Estate mit Blick auf den Palladianischen Brunnen. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe, perfekt für einen erholsamen Kurzurlaub, nur 20 Minuten von Galway City entfernt.

Das mit Efeu besetzte Steinhaus mit drei Schlafzimmern und drei Schlafzimmern wurde sowohl mit antiken Details als auch mit modernem Komfort restauriert. Das Haus bietet eine große traditionelle Küche und einen Frühstücksraum, ein separates Wohnzimmer mit Holzofen und ein zusätzliches Arbeitszimmer. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich drei Schlafzimmer, alle mit eigenem Bad mit Dusche. Es liegt in der hügeligen Landschaft von Caherlistrane, einem versteckten Juwel im Hinterland von Galway City, und ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt, um die Cliffs of Moher, die Kylemore Abbey, das Dorf Cong und den Wild Atlantic Way zu erkunden.

Great place to stay to enjoy eclectic historical yet modernized atmosphere! Off the beaten path so you are removed from the crazy of Galway City yet just about 30 min and you’re right there in the thick of it! Plenty of rooms/beds, en-suite bathrooms/showers in all the upstairs rooms which was grand! The grounds are beautiful, the host & hostess are very nice and responsive with any questions. My friend and I truly enjoyed the time we spent!

2 night stay while traveling across the country

Finola and John were personable and flexible; completely devoted to making sure we were taken care of and comfortable. Beautiful estate and rooms, easy to base out of for day trips across the Wild Atlantic West Coast. We’d love to visit again.

Wonderful stay

All floors were made of wood, beautiful atmosphere, very quiet location. One shower did not work properly, but there were two others so we did not inform Finola. Very comfortable beds!

Stay in historic Ireland

The property is part of an historic Irish estate. All of the comforts are there but it is old building. Staying there provided us work that history and charm of Ireland. Our host Finola was very accommodating and helpful. This is a property that we recommend.

Coach House was charming and in a beautiful setting. Hosts were friendly. Gate with lions could be used as a landmark to identify the entrance to the lane where it is located. Kitchen was fully stocked. Note: picture on website shows building covered with Ivy, which has since been removed.

The Coach House provides a wonderful cozy home for you and your family. It is located on an estate. There are beautiful fields of green, horses, lakes, and fairy forests right in your backyard. The hosts we kind and welcoming. You’ll not be sorry to stay here.

Amazing!

We had a fantastic time at the Coachhouse. Communication, check in, we’re all top notch. The Coachhouse was so charming. Such a peaceful setting and a place to truly unwind yet close enough to Galway, Ashford Castle, the Cliffs etc. We had a great time exploring and having downtime. The drive into the property is something from a fairytale! We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this is one of our top stays ever! Highly suggest!!

Lovely country estate!

Finola and John were great hosts....everything was perfect! Even when the hot water went out unexpectedly, they were quick to fix the issue and left us flowers and a note when it was fixed! Great country location but still close driving distance to everything we wanted to see and visit while we were there. Grocery store and restaurants close by in town too. Thank you for a beautiful place to enjoy our family time! Your dog and horses were the final touches on a perfect stay!

Lovely experience near Galway

Our stay in the renovated coach house of a large Georgian estate was entirely happy. The coach house faces a large, car-free courtyard with attractive plantings. From our living/sitting room the view from the window was a grassy lawn and an old stone wall--we could imagine ourselves lords of the manor. The interior is comfortable with a modern kitchen. The primary bedroom suite is elegant and spacious. We'd come back!

Just Fine

It suited our needs just fine for a short three night stay. The one bathroom shower didn’t work but there were two others that did so I didn’t even contact the property manager. The same bedrooms heat didn’t work but the comforters were so heavy that we managed to be comfortable enough and the heat coming from the bathroom took the edge off.

Thank you for taking the time to write your experience of the property which I do have to come out with hands up that the booking was not flagged so we were trying to play catch up when the guests arrived The property was cleaned and ready but we would always have the heating on in advance but had not in this instance . The situation was rectified immediately and the owner (lives on site) and checked with the guests who said that they were happy with everything. We rely on and welcome feedback from guests so if there are any issues that arise ( heater not on or working - this time of year , mid November , sometimes rads need to be freed) PLEASE make us away of it at the time , message us, these are all easy things to correct but happy that you were warm enough and enjoyed everything else about the property and the location worked for you. Hübsches Ferienhaus in ländlicher Umgebung

Ein sehr hübsches Anwesen und ein schönes Haus mit viel Platz. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und bemüht sich, den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bieten. Die Wegbeschreibung zur Ferienwohnung allerdings ist katastrophal (die GPS-Angaben, die bei der Wegbeschreibung mitgeliefert wurden, führen zu einem ganz anderen Grundstück!!!). Erst nachdem wir die Vermieterin angerufen haben und sie uns den Weg beschrieben hat, konnten wir das Haus finden. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Extraordinary

We stayed at Finolas for a week and had amating days! We did a lot of daytrips and Finola was always there for an advice and her recommendations were super helpful. When my little brother had a problem with his retainer she even help us contact her orthodontist, who was able to help him and that free of charge. The house was tidy and clean and with nice furniture. There is enough space for 6 people and has a big kitchen for the whole family to gather during the evenings. We would highly recommend to stay at this nice cottage at Finolas property! We would be happy to come back sometime.

It was a beautiful location! The drive there felt surreal. The grounds have beautiful landscaping and you can tell that they take good care of it. The only thing I would recommend is a place to sit to really enjoy it all. The photos of this listing need to be updated. The exterior, living room, dining room, and bedrooms were all different than what this listing shows. Little disappointed by that since we are photographers and wanted the look that was advertised. It was still lovely nonetheless. The owners were so friendly and had wonderful conversations with. The beds were incredibly comfy and we had the best sleep there out of all the places we stayed in Ireland. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, high chair, and en suite bathrooms were super appreciated. Our family of 6 were cozy and enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!

Gateway to the West in home away from home

The house was lovely, situated in a quiet courtyard with the kitchen being a highlight of the premises. The delph and utensils supllied were of high quality and a big help when travelling with a hungry family. If you like to holiday in an unspoilt area where archaeology and history abound this is the place for you. On the border between Galway and Mayo you can avail of the best both counties have to offer. Galway city and Salthill are easily accessible. As is Cong if you like cycling and forest trails. Finola made us so welcome and was always available if needed with recomendations and was very kind to our kids. Róisín and Tom.

Real feel of Ireland.

This was a beautiful location except the driveway into the place was pretty long and narrow. But it was such a pretty place. The only complaint I had was the bathrooms were all upstairs so you had to climb 14 steps to get there. By the picture it looks like it is a separate house but it is attached to 2 or more other cottages. It was still very nice and had the cutest dog chained to his dog house. Very friendly. If you don't like deep into the country side it is not for you. But if you like a real feel of Ireland it is a wonderful experience. I would go again.
