We loved our stay in this very clean and wonderful house.
Debra and her husband are very friendly and helpful. They gave us some very delicious mangos from their tree in the garden. The mangos were the best we ever have eaten.
So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Mangos are the delicious 😋
This place was the perfect set up for my family of 5. Debra went above & beyond my expectations & was always just a text away. Mahalos Debra for really making us feel at home.
It's home away from home.
Debra's place is located in a nice quiet neighborhood where you'll wake up to the sound of the hei hei which is quite refreshing. It is sandwiched between Kekaha beach and the foothills close to Waimea Canyon. The spacious house is awesome with lots of natural light and fresh air. We really enjoyed coming home to the house after a day's adventures. Debra made us feel welcome with a special orchid arrangement on the dining table upon our arrival and as an added treat, she shared the delicious mangoes from their backyard tree.
Mahalo nui loa, Debra! We look forward to staying at your place the next time we visit Kauai again.
We loved hosting your family and so glad you enjoyed the house and the mangos!
Debra is an awesome host! We had a great vacation at her beach house. Perfect location to visit Polihale Beach and hike the Waimea canyon trails. I would definitely come back!
We enjoyed having you as guests and appreciate what awesome guests you and your sister were. We would love to have you back anytime!
Beautiful property in a quiet part of the island.
This property was gorgeous, and was very close to so much that we wanted to do.
First of all, the house itself was very nicely appointed. Dark wood floors throughout, ceiling fans on remote controls, and a beautiful dining room where we ate most of our meals. We used the grill out back, the laundry facilities, and the beach chairs and umbrellas that were available.
Secondly, we loved staying on this part of the island. The Kekaha/Waimea side of the island is very quiet, and there is not much going on in terms of restaurants or nightlife. However, if you're taking a boat tour to see the NaPali coast (as we did), then it will likely depart from Kekaha. You are also about as close as you can get to the Awa'awapuhi trailhead, which is the most recommended hike on the island. Finally, you are a short drive to Polihale Beach, which is where we spent our last evening on the island. This long stretch of beach has spectacular views of the NaPali cliffs, miles of soft sand, and no rocks in the water, so playing in the surf is great fun.
Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to meet our host, Debra, but she was very communicative before and during our stay (Debra, I'm sorry I didn't see your message until we returned!), and her instructions and directions were very clear. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
