Willkommen in Sotavento # 15, diese atemberaubende 3-stöckige Wohnung bietet 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer mit unglaublichem Blick auf die Skyline von Cancun.

Erster Stock hat das GĂ€stezimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und Blick auf das Karibische Meer. Ein komplettes Badezimmer, eine voll ausgestattete KĂŒche, ein Wohn- und Essbereich mit einer Terrasse am Meer mit StĂŒhlen. Die zweite Etage ist das Hauptschlafzimmer. Sie erstreckt sich ĂŒber die gesamte zweite Etage und verfĂŒgt ĂŒber ein fantastisches Badezimmer mit Blick auf das Karibische Meer, einen großen Kleiderschrank und eine weitere Terrasse am Meer mit StĂŒhlen. Die dritte Ebene ist die Terrasse mit Grill, Bartresen und Tisch fĂŒr 6 und 4 LiegestĂŒhle, auf der Sie tagsĂŒber die Sonne genießen können. Sehr privat.

The property is lovely and the pool was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot. The only reason i didn't give it a five star was that there were a few maintenance issues that should have been fixed prior to our stay that we had to request fixes for, and the wifi didn't work for 3 of our 9 days there. That said, the property manager, Cesar, looked after things and was very supportive. I would recommend this property, but be prepared for lots of loud music outside because The Joint (Reggae Bar that plays live music all day long) and the catamarans that come from Cancun for day trips blare their music all day as well just of coast from the condo. This is no fault of the condo itself, just a heads up if you're looking for somewhere more quiet. With does and windows closed the condo is very quiet, though. Thanks for a great stay!

This was our second time staying, we loved it so much the first time, we stayed 11 days the second. We will not be returning again.The unit was not maintained, it was one thing after another for the entire time. The constant problems had a very negative impact on our hard earned vacation. The listing is not accurate, the washing machine never has worked, the entire condo smells like sewage, the tv in the living room didn’t work, the stove stopped working, the grill didn’t have gas and then didn’t work properly with gas, the downstairs bathroom shower was missing a door

.I could keep going.There were nonstop problems and it affected everything about our stay. The owner lied to me saying everything is working, because I I asked before we even left on vacation.The bar across the road has VERY loud music 12-9pm every single day. Thank goodness we brought a sound machine for our six year old or none of us would have had rest.As much as the views are incredible, it was a ripoff and we don’t go on vacation to constantly deal with someone else’s problems and excuses.

Home away from home

We we're vacationing in Mexico for two weeks and one of the weeks we were fortunate enough to stay at the condo. The condo has everything that one would need from blender to coffee maker to great beds. We would love to return one day and highly recommend this location. The terrace was a hit for sunrise and sunsets.

Loved it!!

Gorgeous apartment with breathtaking views. In the quieter south of the island but we were glad to have more peace and quiet. You have to pay to access the beach below but it’s very cheap and the snorkelling was good. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable.

Beautiful condo, AMAZING view!!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay! The condo looks just like in the pictures...very beautifully decorated, clean, modern and a breathtaking view of the ocean and Cancun skyline at night. The pool was also wonderful and we were often the only ones using it. If you prefer the beach, it is a very short walk across the street. This was our first time not staying a hotel/resort on the island and we really enjoyed the change. Property manager was also very responsive and wonderful to work with. Would definitely recommend!!

Great location

We loved our stay in Isla. This place is great other than 2 issues. First the bad stuff. 1) there is a musty/ moldy smell on the second floor. We would not stay here again unless we were assured this was fixed. 2) The AC fan made a high pitched squeaky sound, it made it difficult to sleep at times. If these 2 things were fixed we would absolutely stay here again as the property is in a great location, lots of great restaurants and coffe shops and beach clubs around. The beds are really comfortable and the view is beautiful. There are 3! decks overlooking the ocean including a private roof deck which is where we enjoyed a glass of wine at night. I hope they fix those 2 things so that we can come back!

Outstanding view!!!

The condo was beautiful and has everything that was expected minus beach / water access. The snorkeling dock was closed which was disappointing but we didn’t let that ruin our trip. The A/C was great, linens a nice quality, able to enjoy our breakfast, drinks and snacks with the kitchenware provided and overall met our expectations. Bob was very accommodating to our questions and attentive. Spent most of the condo time on the main veranda of the condo with the most amazing view of the sea.

Loved this Condo !!

This condo is as beautiful as the photos show. The location is good and the area is not as busy as up by the ferry. However, with the size of the island, you can get anywhere you want to go quickly. Mike and Rose are very helpful and responsive. The check-in and out process was very easy. We felt very safe at the condo and had no issues at all. The view is amazing. The price was very good and the condo had everything we needed as far as kitchen, bathroom and bedroom items. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and we will likely be returning next year!

Winter Getaway

Enjoyed 4 nights/5 days this past week. Only had one rainy day but still had fun bar hopping and trying restaurants. The condo was perfect for the 4 of us. Cesar did a great job with check-in and answering questions (and extra towels). Kitchen had all we needed to make light meals. There is a keurig there (not shown in pictures). Lots of stairs, but it didn't hurt to walk off the food and drinks! Close to Kin Ha and of course The Joint. We love Punta Sur and the south side of the island. Chedraui wasn't far and we made a couple of stops during the week for various things. Overall a great place and outstanding view!!! We will stay there again!

Can’t beat the view

We always stay on the quieter south side of the island. The property was pretty - had three levels in our condo so we rarely made it to the third. We only had three people in our trip so I bet if there were another couple people or children or something the space would have been used more. Pool was clean and nice, towels and snorkel gear provided, the property manager was very responsive- over all a great place to stay. 2 things to keep in mind - there are a ton of stairs to get to the front door so maybe reconsider if you’re bringing someone that has a hard time with that- also there was a lingering sewage smell that would come and go that could get pretty intense at times - but I chalk it up to island living. I would definitely stay here again we spent many hours reading on the porches.

Beautiful Views

The views from the property were great, and for the most part, so was the condo itself. It is a great location as well! But, the washer and dryer, the coffee maker, and the turntable on the microwave were all broken. It would have been nice to know in advance. I would have brought more clothes. Cesar the manager bought a new coffee maker, after I asked if he could get one for our last few days. He was great! He met us at the condo, and was very responsive! He called a cab to take us to the ferry for our return trip. We had a great time!

Clean & Beautiful views!!!

We stayed with our family of 4 (kids 9 & 5) for five nights at Sotavento. It was a wonderful condo! The unit itself was very clean, and I’m pretty picky about that! Our children loved swimming in the pool after long days on the beach. We had all our questions before and during our stay answered by Michael and Rosa, as well as the owner Bob. They were fantastic hosts. Our favorite part was the views and drinking coffee and wine on the different balconies to begin and end our day. Being an interior designer/decorator, I loved the special touch of the Rae Dunn pottery for coffee mugs, so cute! Took Great Instagram pics with them. We will definitely be back, Isla is our go to trip with kids and this has been the best place we’ve stayed! Thanks y’all!

Good stay in Isla

The property was clean and well equipped. Kitchen had everything we needed. The patios were nice and we enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings. Cesar was easy to communicate with. Overall a very nice stay! There were a few minor negatives. The exterior door handle kept falling off and the maintenance person wasn’t able to fix it while we were there. The door stayed locked so the place was still secure. The safes could use better instructions. Maybe ask the property manager for a demo when you check in. Lastly there is a property under construction next door so the noise is disruptive at the pool if that’s where you plan to spend a lot of time.

Little disappointed

This could be a great place with some TLC and items fixed. When we booked washer & dryer were listed which is big for us. Apparently the dryer broke and owner never replaced. We had to use a drying rack. Very humid in condo, luggage and clothes always damp. Same items broken as previous review. Constant sewer smell in upstairs bedroom. Grill lid on top patio falls off. Some ceiling fans are broken. Feel for the price point should be better. Amazing views and close to The Joint.

A beautiful place to stay on the mellow southern area

We loved staying here! For us, we don’t like the big touristy crowds so we opted to stay south. This place had so many positives. First location was perfect for us. We rented a golf cart so it was easy to go up north to visit the busy side which had really great swimming. But right near us we had the best restaurant Rancho Capricho (excellent breakfast lunch and dinner, cocktails coffee, great service etc.) a small grocery, a coffee bus, reggae bar with live music and several beach clubs. You can see the snorkeling crews all docked right there because it was excellent snorkeling. Garrafon se Castillo was the beach club you see out the windows and had great service and excellent snorkeling and swimming for &10/person. The condo had snorkeling gear, sand toys and plenty of towels. Our only issue was that the washer broke but Cesar sent someone right away. They had to order a part so we couldn’t use it which was mildly inconvenient, but Cesar brought us a bag of clean towels and we had enough clean clothes that we brought. Not their fault. The condo was great. Had everything we needed, but the best part was a tower of fresh water which dispensed hot or cold water and was a relief to not worry about drinking water. We honestly just slept there and went out most days and most meals. The pool was also fantastic! A great option to sunbathe and swim in non-salty water. Kids were in heaven. Lastly this was reasonably priced.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My wife, Sandy, and I, Bob, live just South of Denver and I have been married for 33 years. We have two daughters Kennedy 20 and Morgan 25. Kennedy attends The Kings College in sin New Your City and the other is back at school attending to get her degree in Home Mid-wifing. I retired 3and my wife and I hope hope to someday make Sotavento Isla Penthouse #15 a semi-permanent home. We moved to Colorado in September of 1999. My 1st visit to Isla Mujeres was 2010 and after four visits I talked my wife into purchasing Sotavento Penthouse #15. Sotavento is run so well I bought a second one in January 2020. It's a one bedroom below mine. It is a dream come true and I'm sure you will agree when you see it for yourself that Isla Mujeres is very special Island.

We fell in love with the Island, the Culture, the people and the restaurants and especially how safe you feel on the Island. I talked her into it and bought the condo on my wife's second trip to the Island. You'll have to see it to believe it. The views are breathtaking and unbelievable round the entire Island and especially the views from the Penthouse.
