Casa Mariposa was everything we hoped for during our first (but definitely not last!) visit to Isla. Communication with our host Megan was excellent, and she had some great tips for us as first timers. Check in was flawless and the home was immaculate.
Property manager Alfonso was also extremely responsive but in no way intrusive. He checked via message to see if we needed anything, informed us when to expect the maid and even got right back to me when there was a power issue after 9pm. It had nothing to do with the home, it was a municipal power problem. Before i could even reach out in the morning, he let me know his maintenance person was on the way. Power was back on before we returned from breakfast. I was very impressed at the level of service and responsiveness shown.
The home itself is lovely and filled with art, with so many little areas to sit, inside or out to enjoy the stunning views. You can see both the bay side and the Caribbean side of the ocean!
Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is quite small but very well stocked with everything needed to cook for yourself, plenty of nice pots and pans, dinnerware, utensils, etc.
The pool is fantastic, though unheated. Depending on time of year it may be too cold for you, but I thought it was refreshing.
It's away from downtown, so you will probably want to rent a golf cart.
There is a bar across the street that plays live music from 12-8 daily. We enjoyed it, but if you want silence it may be an issue.
