Dear David, I am sorry to read your review and most of all that you are thinking we are taking advantages of the situation. We feel your review was not reflecting the real version of what had happened and we are happy as we done before to show you our honesty and good will we had with you. You are stating that we are charging three times more of the value of the original box and we can prove that this was not right. We sent you the original invoice paid on 2016 for the safe box and sent you the new one on 2018, they have similar price. We don't understand why you left two sets of keys with our number written on the fob inside the safe box and when you forgot the box code you could not call us as the numbers were locked with the keys. We would expect at least one phone call before to try to smash it with an hammer, we could give you the right code and avoid this stressing situation for all of us. The evening you had the accident with the lock we never received a call from you, only one message through Home Away where you said at 23:28: "Hi is anyone there" and my colleagues replied at 23:33 "Yes David, how can I help you?" All our phones are connected so if you called we would answer as we do with all our guests. We received your answer 20 min later, after you have asked for an hammer to the neighbour and it was too late for us to help you. David, more then explain to you and send you proof of receipts and photos we cannot do anything else. We don't like to leave our guests disappointed, I am sure if you didn't have to smash the box it was going to be all fine. We never refused to pay the difference as we didn't have any difference to pay to you. We have charged what we have paid to replace what you have broken. We show you the receipts and send you the pictures, we cannot do more then that to prove our honesty. A Home To Rent is not using any money from the client to upgrade the place as there is no need for our property. We simply request to replace what guest can accidentally brake and we provide invoices to show expenses as we done with you.
