Outside of the main summer holiday period (late July - late August) we charge a lower base price for rental of the Villa for two people, and then add a per person per night charge for each guest in addition to two.  This is so that we can offer the Villa for smaller parties and couples at a reasonable rate, and you know you are not paying for extra beds and rooms that you are not using.  In the peak Summer season the Villa is charged at one rate only regardless of the number of people in your travelling party. The extra guest fee payable applies also to children using beds, but not for a baby/toddler using a cot - they are always free of charge - so if booking outside of the main summer season (dates above) please book for the number of adults and the number of children using a bed, but do not include a baby/toddler who will require a cot - please just advise us of the need for a cot/high chair per child.

Villa Susana is set just off the N124 east of Messines. It commands fabulous views to the South and the coast. Located in a very private setting, 3 bedrooms, formal garden, private pool, sun terrace, barbecue. Fully equipped. 20 minutes to the coast, 15 minutes to golf, 20 minutes to shopping. * Pool heating available for 22€ per day

It has two en-suite bedrooms plus one family bathroom for the third bedroom. Enjoy open plan living in a light and airy living space with plenty of room, comfy seating, and a well equipped kitchen. Outside there is a covered seating area for eating and relaxing with a traditional Portuguese barbecue to hand, a sun terrace for private relaxation and a good sized pool, all with stunning views towards the Algarve's beautiful south coast.

Air conditioning is available in two of the three bedrooms - the third bedroom is at the rear of the property and naturally cooler in the summer months.

A fabulous holiday home for family or friends to get together and enjoy the delights of Portugal! A little gem!

Beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property location was great for us. There are markets very nearby and it's a 20-40 minute drive to so many different things in the Algarve region. The view is great of the surrounding orchard fields and they pool is deeper than you might expect. We are very happy with chosing this property for our vacation!

Wonderful house and pool in quiet surroundings

The house is placed with a great view towards the coastal region and in a quiet and private location. Great for relaxation at home and as starting point for excursions in the region. The villa is well equipped and the option for a heated pool is an extra plus when visiting in the spring season.

Perfect spot

Very comfortable villa in a perfect peaceful spot overlooking miles of orange groves. Lovely Villa with views

The villa was very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The swimming pool was a great size and enjoyed by all the family. Excellent views from both the patio area and the roof. Good supermarket in the nearby town and only about 30 minute drive from the coast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners really made you feel welcome.

A super villa in an excellent position

Villa Susana is a beautifully presented and maintained property, tucked away so as to give complete privacy but only five minutes or so by car from the Continental Supermarket in Messines. The pool is a joy and I can really recommend the 'heated' option as the water temperature is perfect - simply didn't want or need, to come out!

Beautiful Villa - Calm, peace, relaxation

Fantastic stay, spotlessly clean and great communication from owner. The villa is set in a quiet place, with privacy and calm, with a view for miles across, far into the distance. Wi-fi great, all you need in a very nice 'home from home' quality kitchen. The three of us had a great time. Close drive to 2 x large supermarkets in one direction and beautiful castle town of Silves.

Our perfect vacation

Two snowbirds from Canada found the perfect getaway at Villa Susana. Quiet, in a country setting surrounded by orchards and a distant view of the ocean. The villa is all one could ask for - large living area, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Alex and Richard are wonderful hosts who attended to any and all of our requests immediately. We had a car so access to all the Algarve was easy and accessible. Loved every moment.

Had a wonderful 4 day break at Villa Susana! Exactly as advertised and the views did not disappoint! A lovely welcome hamper awaited us on arrival consisting of beer, cheese, ham, butter, bread, milk, eggs and orange juice. Bed linen and towels provided, including pool towels. Also don’t miss out on the roof terrace for even better views!! All in all, a 5 star stay! Thanks Alex and Richard and family!

Just the Ticket

Lovely spacious and well maintained villa in a beautiful quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main Algarve resorts. The support from the owners was excellent. Only minor point was that, despite the comprehensive directions, we had some initial difficulty locating it. That said, we are looking forward to booking it again in the near future.

Relaxing break

A great villa made special by the wonderful views for miles around that really helped us to unwind. The outdoor area was perfect for eating and enjoying a barbecue. The pool was great for a family to enjoy and the mixed depths really made for good swimming practice. It is also a nice distance from the property so that those not engaging can still watch what is happening but also relax without the screaming and the splashing! Finally, Alex was a great host and so helpful and responsive to any questions which took all the hassle away. We would definitely recommend.

Peaceful surroundings, lovely views. Enjoyed relaxing around the pool area, a welcome relief from the hot weather. Good communication with the hosts Alex and Richard. Kept us well informed and provided information about the surrounding areas. Hopefully will return in the future

lovely family home in a perfect rural setting

We were only here for a short stay of 4 days but we got beautiful weather and were able to make the most of the gorgeous outdoor setting. Stunning views and so peaceful. We wanted to rest and recharge and were able to do that so easily. The villa itself is very spacious with 3 large bathrooms and air con in each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and the Intermarche in SB Messines which is about a 10 min drive away has everything you need. Alex offers a comprehensive folder of information available online before you arrive. Every detail and question is covered. We felt very looked after and tried the restaurants she recommended which were fab. We would return without hesitation.

Toller Ort zum Entspannen

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es ist ein guter Platz zum Relaxen. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, der Pool ist super. Für Ausflüge zur Küste benötigt man allerdings schon ein Auto.

Erholsamer Familienurlaub

Schönes Haus mit gepflegtem, beheizbaren Pool in toller Aussichtslage. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit den Vermietern! Für Ausflüge und Fahrten an die Küste muss man längere Fahrstrecken in Kauf nehmen. Ein (Miet-)Wagen ist daher unbedingt erforderlich.

Umständlich und mehr Schein als Sein

Auf den ersten Eindruck wirkt alles einladend u gepflegt. Mit einem Teelöffel habe ich das Fett am Kochfeld abgekratzt. Alle Pfannen nicht zu benutzen, weil ausnahmslos alle verkratzt sind. Auf der Sitzgarnitur im Wohnzimmer merkwürdige Nylon Schonbezüge. Poolspielzeug lag im Essbereich. Aussengrill komplett verdreckt. Im Wohn und Küchenbereich überall Zettel mit Anweisungen mit „tu dies nicht oder tu das nicht“. Sogar auf dem Kaminsims. Das Internet eine einzige Katastrophe! Da nützt auch ein Routerneustart nichts. Es wurde einfach eine zu schwache Leistung eingekauft. Die sehr nahe Straße nach Silves ist stark befahren. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist dort falsch. Mehrere Male wurde auf den Äckern direkt am Grundstück gebrannt so dass alles ins Haus zog bzw. wir konnten nicht lüften und auch nicht auf der Terrasse sitzen. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern ist ausgesprochen umständlich. Man sollte sich noch in einem extraportal anmelden und diverse Dokumente runterladen und wieder hochladen. Hätten wir das vor der Buchung gewusst, wäre unsere Wahl eine andere gewesen. Wir kennen viele ländlich gelegene Häuser in Portugal. Dieses empfehlen wir nicht.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare, und wir bedauern, dass Sie das Haus nicht wie gewünscht gefunden haben. Sie haben uns zum Zeitpunkt Ihres Aufenthalts im letzten Jahr nichts davon gesagt. Sonst hätten wir geholfen, einige der Probleme zu lösen, die wir lösen konnten. Es tut mir leid, dass Sie eine ungewöhnliche Erfahrung gemacht haben, da unsere anderen Bewertungen Ihre nicht widerspiegeln.
