Thank you for your comment and the positives feedbacks. To answer the negative ones : - the sitting area outside has been re-painted and refurbished, - the table tennis, the crokeries and out side sitting will be replaced for 2014. The swimming pool turned green; We came twice every day for 4 days to fix it, time for the water to become Crystal blue again. I understand it is very ennoying for the Holiday makers; it gave you a bad impression of the property and I appologize for it. It happens very rarely, (less than once every 2 years.

Hello Helen, thank you for your comment; Unfortunatlely the hot water tank stopped working during your stay and it was not pleasant, alghough there is a second shower room. It has been replaced with a new one within few days and I was so sorry I re-imbursed you half of the price of the rental; Please accept again my apologizes for the inconvenience. Sylvain Mounier

Merci pour votre avis. Ravi que vous ayez passé d'excellente vacances ! Oui la piscine est chauffée à la demande. Un simple coup de fil et la piscine est chauffée ! La piscine a un système de chauffage justement pour parer à tout aléas climatique... très utile en mi-saison. Elle peut même être couverte tout en permettant la baignade. Pour une prochaine fois j'espère. Très bonne rentrée. Sylvain

Clare, I am sorry the general maintenance did not meet your expectations, alghough I am personnaly committed to maintain and improve La Truffiere every year, and I am helped for that by two personnes dedicated that come evey week; one for the garden, pool, and general maintenance, one for the cleaning, bed linen, and in-house maintenance. Thank you to allow me to pay an extra attention to it for this season. - ''there were insufficient sun recliners''. My answer : there will be 4 new recliners for 2014. - ''Lightbulb on the stairs not working'' : a simple call once there would have fixed it immediatly, for you and next guests. You wrote : ''the kitchen was overun with ants'' and further down ''ant powder everywhere'' My answer : you are both against ants and against the actions to keep them outside the house... for this I can not do more. It is true we are in a natural surrounding. - ''the pool is gorgeous, although we had to request it to be uncovered, it was the middle of June and we were expecting good weather (silly us!)'' My answer : yes we kept the pool covered which allow both the guests to swim, and the water to keep warm precisely due to the weather conditions. Of course we uncover it at your request. Finally reading your comment I understand that your main dispointment was on the weather. I do not know if this will help you to feel better to know that yes, the 2 last weeks of June 2013 were the worst for more than ten years with heavy rains and even hail (!) while the 10 previous months of June in France where hot as we know. Algough I perfectly understand your disapointmnt of 11 days of cold rain out of 14 days of holidays, you might consider that this was not under controle and do not give a good picture of how La Truffiere is welcoming, specially because what is beautifull and particular to this property is the outside.
