Beautiful property!!

We always stay at Honua Kai when we go to Maui. This condo was clean and neat and the view was better than I even expected. It was well stocked with everything you could need. This is a Wonderful resort. The pool and grounds are superior. Love this place!!

Excellent Resort

Condo was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful trip. The condo was clean and stocked with all the essentials. The bag of coffee that they supplied was a nice surprise! We grounds were beautifully maintained. Parking was easy in the garage and the resort food at the restaurant was great! I would highly recommend this resort.

The staff at Maui Westside is the best. Rooms are always immaculate. Wondered if the property would be kept up to what I expect because of some people living there full time. The people there were courteous, friendly, and totally respectful. You have to feel for the misplaced residents of Lahaina. Don’t be afraid to come to Honua Kai because of the fire. Please come and enjoy a wonderful property!!

This property was a great location for our family, 2 adults and 2 toddlers. It was close to the elevators, but not at all noisy. Very spacious and the kids loved running around. Balcony was large with a great view of the ocean and perfect for our morning coffee and breakfast. The full kitchen made it easy to cook meals and reheat leftovers. Both bathrooms had full showers and bathtubs and made cleaning up, especially with kids, easy. Proximity to pools and beach was amazing and easy to get back to the rooms if we forgot something. The resort is beautiful and in a perfect location. Our family loved our stay and would 100% book again and recommend to family/friends.

Amazing!

My husband, daughter and I booked a last minute trip to celebrate my daughter’s 11th birthday in the sun. It was totally worth it! We had been to Honua Kai previously so knew the location was great. This unit surpassed our expectations. We loved the full 2 beds / 2 baths and large living area. The kitchen was well stocked (although we ordered in mostly and ate on the large lanai). The ocean view was good - we saw many whales! Nothing but good things all around!!

Beautiful place in West Maui - perfect location

My family loves West Maui and we love the Honua Kai resort because of how kid-friendly it is. This place has it all. The furnishings are nice and comfy. The location is the quiet side of the resort. The lanai has a gorgeous view of the ocean. My 2 kids (8 years and 4 years) had a great time. The managers were very responsive to any question we had. The unit came with beach chairs, umbrellas, and body boards. The kiddos had a grand time. The unit was very clean and has everything you might need to cook for your stay. I can't wait to stay again here.

Spacious but not very clean

Pros: Spacious, partial ocean views, good resort amenities, free underground parking, decent bbq station, heated pools. Cons: Not so clean, found black mould on ceiling with no response, mattress looked like a crime scene when changed sheets, washer dryer not so great, fridge had missing shelves, public washroom right outside as primary view looking down with loud traffic and offputting smells at times. Pools and hot tubs get dirty with sand and foliage and don't get cleaned as often as they should. I would only stay again if it were less expensive or no other glod options available.

We are sorry the guest did not enjoy their stay. Since most of our reviews for this beautiful upgraded condo are 5 stars, we are surprised at the guests reaction. The guest never contacted us about any issues during their stay. When we are notified of any problems we respond immediately. This condo is cleaned to our very high 4 diamond standards and the condo was spotless prior to the guests arrival. We were not inform about, nor did we find any "black mold" in the condo. The washer and dryer are only a few months old so it's surprising that the guest found them inadequate. We have no idea what they are talking about the bed looking like a "crime scene." The mattresses are covered with waterproof mattress pads and the mattresses themselves are cleaned regularly. We found no such evidence after the guests departure and subsequent guests have commented on how comfortable and clean the beds and bedding are.

Great property!

Had a fabulous vacation in this condo. We have a toddler so the pack n play, booster high chair, sand toys, beach bag, and boogie boards provided were a great touch. My only small negatives: 1. The kitchen was well stocked in regards to cookware, but there’s literally only salt, pepper, and coffee when you arrive. It’d be really nice if there were some other basics like oil, sugar, hot sauce, etc so we didn’t have to buy literally everything we needed to cook for a week. 2. A channel list for the tv would be nice. 3. The beach directly in front of the condo is a bit too rocky to enjoy playing in the water, but literally 100 yards down the beach it’s amazing with great snorkeling. We ended up driving 3 minutes and parking at the nearest beach park so we didn’t have to haul all of our stuff. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

Honua Kai Resort

Honua Kai will not disappoint. The resort is amazing and its location is excellent. My only criticism was the fitness center on property. I know that this resort has many owners but the fitness center is out of date in terms of how people exercise today. It had too many selectorized strength machines. When I was in the gym, which was everyday during my stay, people where not using them and looking for space to do functional style training. Thankfully I brought my own suspension straps and was able to modify my workout. I hope that they consult experts next time the update the gym. That being said our condo location 642 in the Konea tower had the most amazing view. I could not have been happier. The owner takes incredible care of the unit. 5 star all the way. FYI this was our second stay on property and I have recommended the Honua Kai to many friends whom all ended up staying on property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was perfect! Konea 642 was the perfect combination, great location, beautifully furnished, and lovely ocean views. The condo was nicely updated, clean, well stocked, the beds were comfortable and it was a great floorplan. It was just as described. The beach location was incredible too. After snorkeling at several highly rated beaches we concluded that the beachfront between Honua Kai and the Westin had the best snorkeling too. All of these things made for the perfect get away that leaves us already planning our next visit back.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we thought the condo was great. We were not impressed with the pools, they were very hot, not refreshing at all to get into and were not very clean. It was also difficult to find a lounger and especially a lounger with shade. The beach in front of the Westin right next door was great! Good snorkelling when not too windy and great boogie boarding when windier. Westside Properties overall was pretty good to deal with. No major issues, but nothing that would make me rave either. Only negative would be that the information we were provided was to call when we were heading to the condo after arriving in Maui and someone from Westside would meet us to show us the condo. When I called I was told the Bell staff would do this, but they looked at me funny and said that they can help us take our stuff up, but they don't show you around the condo. Would have been nice to have someone show us the condo and tell us a few more tidbits of info about the resort and such, but we figured it all out.
