Amazing View

Very nice condo & resort! The view was amazing, even though it could be a little windy on the balcony. The resort is near many activities, the pool and beach were very fun!

Great place for family

This is a great place to stay for those with young kids. My 2 and 4 year old daughters loved the pools and there was plenty to entertain them. It was so nice having Duke’s on the property for food and drinks as well as a convenient store for pantry needs. The overall environment felt peaceful, clean, and convenient.

Can’t beat the view!

We had an amazing time at this property. The unit worked great for our six guests (three adults and three children). We really enjoyed eating/cooking out on the lanai. The view really is incredible. Loved every minute!

Roomy with great views!

This was a great 2 BR condo for my family and my parents. Roomy with a fantastic view. The condo was clean and had all the necessary amenities! We especially loved the chairs and boogie boards. The property is a bit dated/worn but clean!

Location and amenities were spot on. We were completely comfortable and enjoyed the space. The unit came with all of the necessary kitchen, cleaning, and beach items (except beach umbrellas). We were very happy and want to return next year. Thank you.

5 stars! From the location to the layout, this property was amazing. The rooms are very spacious and the overall property, Honua Kai, provided activities for all ages. Beautiful and perfect location on the ocean front. Enjoyed a wonderful stay here! Views were amazing! Very central and close to stores, snorkel equipment and restaurants. Walk to the beach. Had dinner at numerous restaurants including Dukes (twice) which was excellent food. Condo had every single amenity you could imagine! Very clean and well furnished!! We highly recommend! Will definitely return to our ‘home in Paradise!’

Amazing

Wonderful location. Upon check in we notice a couple “key items” missing from the kitchen and we contacted the manager who responded immediately to take care of what we needed. We were traveling with an infant and they were kind enough to let us check in early. I highly recommend this unit.

Great trip!

Our family arrived at Honua Kai - Konea 501 to find the unit spotless and ready to go. Check-in was completed in no time at all with no hassles whatsoever. We have stayed at Honua Kai three times previously so we knew generally where we were going and where to park. The view from Konea 501 is spectacular and the convenience of having a BBQ on the lanai was well worth it. We will be back and wouldn't hesitate to book Konea 501 again.

Great stay!

My Family and I stayed here for 10 days and so much enjoy very minute. The view was incredible, the communication with Management was great! They responded right away. With little kids we found ourselves cooking in their awesome kitchen a lot. So we did find that the cook wear and utensils etc need an update. Pots are little wore out but who goes there to cook right?! Haha

Requested more blankets never received Requested hot water in 2nd bedroom, never fixed. Having to clean and no housekeeping for being in a vacation was a bummer.

I guess you can't please everyone. Please see all of other 5 star reviews. No daily housekeeping is clearly stated in the listing, Honua Kai is NOT a Hotel these are privately owned condos. More blankets? Well, along with the 3 sheets and comforter on each bed, we also provide an extra blanket and pillows in the linen closet. If you had hot water in the first bathroom you had it in the 2nd as they are fed from the same source. Maintenance was called and notified us that everything was working correctly, They even adjusted the temperature up bit in case the guest had used up all the hot water.

AMAZING!!!

We spent 5 days in Honau Kai condo #501 and 4 days in the Grand Wailea Resort, and when we go back to Maui ( because we will!) we will go back straight to Honua, and if possible, to the same condo. Best condo ever!!!! Best view, location, super clean and equipied ( beach chairs, playset set for kids for the beach, boogie boards, coolers). The condo is really amazing, the view is unbeatable. We would uber to different beaches and it was so convenient bc everything was so close. Food trucks 5 min away everyday. 10 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Location

Love the location. The unit needs to be painted and worn items replaced. The AC did not keep the unit cool. We had maintenance come but there was nothing they could do once the sun was directly on the glass windows/doors. We had to keep all drapes drawn to try and keep the heat out.

We are sorry the guest had issues with the AC during their stay. this is an ocean facing condo and gets direct sunlight in the afternoons. The AC works as designed but if you have the doors open prior to turning it back on the condo will be warmer than usual and can take longer to cool down. The condo has recently been painted and has all new furnishing and smart TV's so were not sure what worn items the guest is referring to that need replacement. Please see our other 5 star reviews for this condo. This is the most sought after 2 bedroom condo at Honua kai.

Wonderful Condo on Kaanapali Beach

My wife and I, my daughter and her husband stayed in the 501 Konea tower of the Honua Kai Resort for 12 days in May 2022. The condo had two master bedrooms, a beautiful living area and a fairly well stocked kitchen. There were several items provided like soap and toiletries to get you by until you could go shopping. There is an excellent store within walking distance for just about anything you would need for dinners, snacks etc. The view from the condo was maybe the best at the resort and better than any place I have stayed in 13 visits to the Island The property manager was on top of anything we needed (ice maker needed repair as well as the dryer) with immediate response and action. The condo is also very close to Lahaina and all its offerings. The pools were great although very cold on some days and warmer on others and the children while plentiful were well behaved and there are quiet places on the property for older folks like us. The outdoors were well maintained and quite beautiful. Some reviews have mentioned parking issues which we did not experience and we left the property often and always found parking when we returned. The beach is sandy but the ocean area had a ot of coral which is great for snorkeling but less great for swimming. We definitely will return to this condo. One other note is that do to Covid we had to change our reservation several times. The property manager was extremely flexible winning us over for future visits. There were a few minor issues. Getting groceries into the condo was difficult as there were no carts or help provided so plan on carrying and maybe making several trips.to the car. Also all of the good restaurants were booked several days to weeks out so make your reservations even before you travel if you want prime times at the good places. Even the on site restaurant was difficult to get into. We had to rely on cancellations to eat lunch. The carry out service and pool service was excellent however.
