Eighteen years ago we finally realized our long held dream and set off from England to our new life on the warm and sunny island of Crete. We had already purchased a plot of land with a house and one acre of orange trees and olive trees.

In the time honoured fashion of the island it took over a year to overcome the paperwork and legalities connected with our purchase but then we were able to start our huge project.

The gardens and villas slowly took shape, each year bringing exciting changes as the trees and plants matured. The result is now three villas set in beautiful gardens. Having been to Greece on previous occasions we wanted to make the accommodation spacious. A large bathroom was a must and raised sun terraces were top priority. We wanted to create individual privacy without being isolated and a pool that you could really swim in.

Crete Retreat is a unique and huge landscaped garden with mature shady trees, green lawns, exotic plants and an extra large 24/7 swimming pool.
A perfect environment for people who wish to enjoy Crete, the fresh air, the sun, the shade, the food, the wine all made complete with a large barbeque for a perfect evening meal.
Our pet cats and dogs live together in harmony, a memorable experience especially for children.
Here, Mums and Dads have a great opportunity to relax together or find space, peace and quiet knowing that their family are in a safe enclosed environment.
Our location makes it easy to explore the important historical sites dotted around, try Aptera, ten minutes along the motorway, which is an ancient Roman settlement covering several acres. We are also positioned on 42nd street, the site of the battle of Crete which is marked by a plaque and information.
