Thank you Simon. The location is a very good point. The house is 5 minutes drive from the East and North coasts, and 10 minutes drive from the West coast and the mountains. Thank you for your comments. The council have been working on the water system recently, the pipes that supply us were vandalised. I haven't been using Vanessa and Miguel for a year yet but they do get 5 star reviews from everyone who meets them. I hope to hear from you again. Regards Michael

All I can say to anyone reading this review is to look at ALL of our other reviews. This is our first complaint in the 12 years we have owned the place. The guests who stayed before them stay the same two weeks every year and have already booked and paid their deposit for next year. The guests who stayed after them have already booked and paid their deposit for two weeks later this year. For some reason the three weeks in between everything became unusable !!! Although they didn't complain until 17 days in to a 21 day stay so maybe it wasn't quite that bad. So far this year we have taken 10 bookings from returning customers, I think that says enough. When things wear out or get broken and our management company thinks they need replacing, they will replace them. If it's an expensive item they will contact me first before they spend the money. Last year, on separate occasions, the TV and the washing machine stopped working, both were replaced the following day. The communal pool was closed for maintenance which I didn't know. The amount of satellite channels received does depend on where the actual satellite is in the sky but when our management company went to investigate why that wasn't working they found that our guests had unplugged it and had one of their own devises plugged in instead. When we sent the engineer to investigate the pool heating the water temperature was 1 degree below what it should have been. You would not be able to notice this. Because they booked for 3 weeks they were given discount, I offered a partial refund which they did not accept, I offered a larger refund which they also did not accept. I approached Citizens Advice, Homeaway and Paypal with the facts, all of whom informed me that they had no grounds for a refund so all offers of a refund were withdrawn on the 22nd of February 2017 with Homeaway and Paypal both informed. I would not have done this had I not been threatened in previous correspondence. We have invested a lot of time and money into our holiday home and get nothing but good reviews about the house and our management company. Our guests are encouraged to speak to us at the earliest opportunity if there is anything, questions or requests, that we can do to make their stay better. Unfortunately for us we can not please everybody all of the time and every 12 years or so you come across the one who can not be pleased.

Translation - We spent two weeks here in October 2025 and felt incredibly comfortable. We received the keys to the house via a key box, which allowed us flexibility with our arrival and meant we didn't have to coordinate with anyone. There's plenty of parking right in front of the house. There's also a private parking space directly at the house, although it's more suitable for narrow cars. The house itself was spotlessly clean upon arrival. It's definitely worth mentioning that there were more than enough towels. The beds were comfortable; the single beds had firmer mattresses, while the double bed had a softer one. This suited us perfectly. Communication with both the owner, Michael, and the caretaker, Vanessa, was excellent. We especially loved Vanessa. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next holiday there. Thank you so much again for everything! Thank you very much Rebecca. The house is in a neat residential area, very close to everything you need. You can quickly reach beautiful beaches (depending on what you like, waves - Corralejo or shallow water - El Cotillo), close to great restaurants and shops in Corralejo. There are cozy, inexpensive restaurants nearby that will pamper every palate. Michael also gave great tips. The house is suitable for people of all ages, you are very private, but all the most active can be reached perfectly from the villa. The house is located in such a way that all places can be easily reached by car. Water sports enthusiasts (kiters, surfers, divers) get their money's worth! The selection of surf schools is outstanding. Directly opposite the villa is a supermarket that is very well stocked and has everything you need for daily life. Also fresh bread every day. If you like it bigger, there is a huge new Lidl and a Mercadona nearby. The house itself is functional, but after a short contact with the very friendly landlord (we were missing wine glasses and a little more cutlery) everything is arranged and provided. Michael takes care of it immediately and without any problems. The villa is very clean and once a week a nice employee cleans the beautiful, warm pool, which lights up at night and creates a great atmosphere on the spacious terrace. In addition, you can use a large, well-kept communal pool a few steps away from the house. We had a wonderful, fun and relaxing vacation and would like to book the villa with Michael again.
