Just what we needed

The property was property was spotless and exactly what we wanted . It was close to friends that we were visiting. Host was there whennweded but not intrusive. We would stay again.

Outstanding & Flawless

I stayed here for only one night on my way south from London. A superb property, spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped. Comfortable even though it was 30c outside when I arrived. There was nothing to fault. Beautiful outside garden area to sit in. Large bedroom and wonderfully effective shower. This is a great example of how to provide an excellent guest experience. Highly recommended.

Un gîte très agréable, très bien équipé et très propre. Il est décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Nous étions intéressés par les églises romanes du Civraisiens et c'est un point de chute idéal. An amazing find!

What an amazing find! The gite is perfect-beautifully presented with lovely out door space and everything you could need. Lesley and Mark are wonderful owners who are friendly and a mine of information yet never intrusive. The location is excellent with beautiful walks on the doorstep and lots of sleepy neighbouring villages and towns with a supermarket for all your needs. Can't wait to return.

joli petit gîte. merci à la propriétaire. beaucoup de goût pour aménager l intérieur du gîte. par contre très mécontente d Abritel. je loue en France, la propriétaire habite en France je habite en France et on me fait payer de ce fait 15 € de plus par rapport au prix annoncé et ceci n'est pas notifié sur votre site ou si mal. impossible de vous joindre au téléphone. je voyage beaucoup et croyez bien que c est la dernière fois que je utilisé vos services et je vais faire une mauvaise publicité à votre site et je vais créer un site de mécontent j ai déjà 200 inscrit. de plus impossible de vous joindre au téléphone très en colère

As good as it gets

If you are looking for a relaxing quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the place to come. Very relaxed with great hospitality. Mark and Lesley are lovely and make you feel at home. The accommodation has everything you need. Small village 2km up the road gives you a chance to practice your French - I hope it's better than mine ! Bigger town Civray 10 km away which is quintessentially French and very picturesque. My advice it take it easy,relax and make sure you've got an adequate supply of fantastic Bordeaux wine in stock. Bon Voyage.

Gite bien agencé et agréable pour une escapade. Possibilité de venir une nuit ce qui est appréciable. Bon accueil du propriétaire qui a permis une arrivée à l'heure souhaitée.

Excellent accommodation set in beautiful countryside

The Gite is very comfortable. The kitchen/dining and lounge area is well planned with all you need and decor is very nicely done. Upstairs is the bedroom and en suite which is spacious, with high ceilings, timber beams and a very comfortable bed and the decor is beautiful. Outside is a lovely courtyard with table and chairs, comfy loungers to relax on and flowering plants all around.The owners,Lesley and Mark, are very welcoming and hospitable,with advice on interesting places to visit ( also supplying us with a welcome bottle of wine, homemade jam -which was delicious-, cherries and walnuts!) There are plenty of places to visit if you like to get out and about.We visited the excellent La Vallee des Singes -Valley of the Apes- which is defiantly worth going to- and the Crocodile Planet.We explored lovely villages, historical buildings,towns, parks and lakes, and went on walks in the beautiful french countryside to name just a few of our adventures. A very enjoyable holiday.

Perfect In Every Way

We stayed in this gite from 16th to 22nd September whilst we were house hunting in the region. Mark and Lesley are lovely, lovely people and nothing was too much trouble for them. The gite itself is pretty and very well maintained with all the facilities you need. Our last evening was spent enjoying good food, wine and conversation in the garden outside of the gite with Mark and Lesley (and other previous guests who are now their friends). We would definitely stay again.

Perfect little gite

Very well equipped gite. Owners Lesley and Mark are perfect hosts, always available to offer advice if needed but never intrusive. Fantastic welcome pack which after travelling all day and no time to shop was so much appreciated. Perfect location for exploring the area. Thanks again Lesley and Mark, we hope to return when we are ready to search for our own property in this lovely area

Tres sympa

Une petite semaine passée début juillet 2016 Leysley et Mark nous accueillent avec un large sourire et un petit cadeau de bienvenue, ce qui est toujours " un petit +" très agréable Petit gîte très sympa pour un couple en quête de repos et de tranquillité à la campagne Seul petit bémol... nous aurions apprécié une machine à laver et un petit séchoir à linge dehors Allez-y, vous ne serez pas déçus Pat et Caro (du 95)

Parfait !

Lesley et Mark sont adorables, l'accueil est chaleureux et très arrangeant. Ils ont aménagé un studio de manière très spacieuse , fonctionnelle et avec beaucoup de goût. Nous vous recommandons cet endroit à 100% !
