This simple and charming apartment helps you 'live like the French' in the sense that it's an orderly, pleasing place to relax in between dips in or rides around the lake, crepes, hikes, etc. It's not fancy (e.g. one of the twin beds is a foldout) and there was limited hot water during our stay--our teenager who woke after 11 a.m. had to suffer cold showers!--but it was simply stylish and clean and there was plenty of space for us all to spread out, including the two lovely balconies with different views to take in during breakfast or dinner. The main bed was comfortable and the twin beds fine (we didn't use the pullout but the mattress looked substantial). The parking is a little tricky at first so ask for exact instructions--once we figured it out, it was fine. Evelyne is lovely: she addressed all our concerns and graciously let me practice my very rusty French on her :) The area around the flat is very peaceful other than during the 'going to work' hours and we loved the through breezes you get from opening the windows on both sides. Wonderfully easy access to the best view the lake has to offer--a short walk down a quiet street or else one with supermarché, coffee shops, Galeries Lafayette, etc. Be aware you have to clean at the end and there's no air-conditioning as stated in the listing, but Evelyne did provide a plug-in machine, and we managed with opening the windows and using the shutters. If there was a heatwave, you might suffer a bit. Otherwise, a modest gem.
