This condo is well located for dining out and shopping. It is well equipped for prepping your own meals as well. The beach restaurant was very good but pricy. Overall had a great stay and would rwturn.

A nice stay in a beautiful area

My stay at this property was very impressive. The property was well maintained, clean and in a very convenient area. The host was amazing and very accommodating with fast responses and very welcoming energy. I would most definitely return to this property and recommend it for solo travellers, mature travellers and families.

Excellent service from the host's on-site associate Marquito. Extremely responsive to help with A/C, lockout, supplies. Also offered discounted tours. Spacious apartment. Nice pool. Great location. The best restaurants nearby. Easy pickup for excursions. One complaint is that nobody (not even the host) has keys to the bedroom doors. We had to call a locksmith for lockout. The host should replace the bedroom locks with privacy door knobs.

Great Location

Playa Turquesa is great spot to stay! The complex has two pools and beach access with chairs. Just outside the gate are lots of bars, restaurants and stores. The condo could use a bit of updating. We would have no hesitation in staying here again. Both the owner and property manager were very prompt in answering any questions we had.

This property is beautiful d the access to the beach is immediate and secure.

The condo is bare bones…only the necessities. It is not very comfortable. The sofa is very uncomfortable as was the bed. There were very few extras (think toilet paper, papertowels, hand soap). So, be prepared to buy these things when you arrive. However, the pool and the access to the beach are so nice. There are nice and new beach chairs. The beach bar/restaurant is beautiful and the food is excellent!We highly recommend this property.

We always have supplied exactly the same things to all our clients. The first 5 gallon bottle of water, a basic supply of toilet paper (a roll in each bathroom), a bar of soap, a bottle of dish soap, a dishcloth, a couple of Tide laundry pods and a couple of garbage bags.. All this was supplied to the tenants. The tenant can also buy what he needs just across the road. I am surprised that sofa or bed was uncomfortable, nobody ever complained, and we are very satisfied and relaxed when staying there, but this is a problem of taste. This is very expensive furniture made by the local designer.

An amazing family holiday

This property and the resort it is located in is lovely. We could not have asked for more as a family, we loved the location with the private beach and the staff were always so friendly to us and the children especially always smiling and waving. We loved the quietened yet family friendly atmosphere that allowed our children to enjoy the pool and the. Beach. We don’t like all inclusive and over the top resorts and playa Turquesa and the apartment was perfect for us. The balcony is large and allows for outdoor living and enjoying the surroundings. You step out of the complex and you have restaurants and shops, supermarket over the road is a godsend. As well as restaurants for takeout and dine in. The complex is kept to a really high standard always people working to keep it tidy. Markitto was really supportive with anything we needed like water orders, trips and our checkout. We 100% would return to this apartment and complex! Thank you to everyone for a wonderful stay!

Mountains of seaweed

The resort itself is very nice and well maintained. It is gaited and secure so it is safe and very clean. The pools are impeccable. No fault of their own… there was mountains of the smelliest seaweed that they had been working on cleaning up daily for at least two weeks so the beach and the beach restaurant was a no go. The smell was so bad it permeated the whole area in waves. This was a particularly bad year for the seaweed that I did not know about coming in the months of June-August. Again, this is nothing the resort can control and their pools were lovely. However, what they can address is their security and grounds staff cat calling and hitting on women who are staying at the resort. It’s not welcome. We are there to relax and unwind not to be sexually harassed. As we did not eat at the resort restaurant we ventured out across the street to eat at restaurants there and the men were super aggressive so females do not go alone and try do not go too late at night. Also, do not let them convince you to take you anywhere because they will try. Be safe.

Lovely stay at Playa Turquesa!

Beautiful and clean apt, just like the photos. The resort complex is stunning and the apt is a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The owner and property mgmt staff were friendly, communicative, helpful, and accommodating. Thanks! The apt was well-appointed and had plenty of towels, sheets, and enough bottled water for a wk (but buy TP – only 2 rolls were in the apt). 2 laundry pods were provided. Clean up crumbs well bc many tiny ants will come if you don’t. The corner market has everything you need (Ciccolella), there’s an ATM at the pharmacy across the street, and resort/mgmt. staff can help with anything else. The resort's private beach's water was murky compared to others north and south (chopped-up sargassum clouds the water?). 5+ mins walk north past the pier or down south to Los Corales, the water is much clearer and aqua. Other clear beaches: Playa Macao (20 min drive north) and Playa Bibijagua (10 min drive south - clear, good snorkeling, and sea turtles in the wild, right off shore!). Incredible stay! Thank you!

Ideal location in the heart of all the action. Close to beach, dining, and groceries. Comfortable unit but personally does need a bit of a refresh as it is "tired". But overall a very good stay and we would recommend booking this unit!

Both bathrooms has been updated this year. Thank you for this comment about bathrooms. However mentioned microwave is new and only silver paint got rusty outside which is fixed now. We checked during our visit and could not find any pots with missing handles. We have solid wood kitchen cabinets and could not confirm observation. We appreciate all comments and passed message about cleaning to property manager.

Beachfront resort

Grounds are immaculate. Beachfront chairs are always available. Check in was fantastic. Property manager was very friendly and answered quickly. Few meters to grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommend this property.

Not luxury

Although, the condo was ok, it is not a luxury condo. The condo needs some repairs. Tile in the bathroom broken/cracked and badly stained. Towel and soap bars broken off and rusted. Vanity door broken. Small fridge, and no interior light. Stove is old, but functional. Oven had to be lit by hand, as no pilot light. Management staff was very good, and responded immediately with requests. Beds are old and not comfortable. I brought a piece of memory foam to soften, as I was there the year before, and knew this. The price at the time made it worth the units shortfalls, but now that the price has gone up, it would not be.

In May and June 2019 there was up-grade and renovation of the condo. All problems listed there were corrected, also new bed in the main bedroom and mattresses were changes. New large fridge was installed. The whole condo was re-painted. For this reason the price for rental was increased.
