Perfect for our family

Helene and Frederic are truly the perfect hosts. They are helpful when needed and all communication with them was gracious and cognizant of our own privacy. The house is beautifully decorated with tasteful art work and is kept in impeccable condition and the pool and large garden areas were perfect for our family to enjoy three weeks in the countryside near Aix en Provence. We had a wonderful stay and truly say our experience was perfect.

wonderful house and hosts

Hélène and Frédéric are incredibly nice hosts. The communication was easy and they always responded quickly to any questions we had. Their house is beautiful and exactly how described. We had a great time in the back yard and the pool. Everything is extremely well maintained and clean. The house is conveniently located to nearby stores and farmers markets but also very quiet and relaxing.

Brilliant!

We had a lovely two weeks with at this house. It was incredibly conveniently located, yet remote. The region is, of course, fantastic. The house itself was very cosy and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. Our kids loved the pool and the grounds. The host was helpful but never imposing, and offered suggestions which were, without fail, very much enjoyed. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.

Provence Paradise

I will summarize by saying that within a few days we started making plans to relocate our family to Provence. However, in a bit more detail: We really connected with the hosts, who were lovely and attentive to all our needs including giving us some great recommendations of places to visit nearby, and where we could go on a Tuesday afternoon to buy fresh vegetables from a local farmer. The house itself is set in a beautiful small hamlet, with a beautiful garden and orchard where you can listen to pigeons, cicadas, horses, and the wind in the trees. The house itself has rich decoration, and everything you need including kitchen utensils, laundry, internet etc. Ventabren is very well located to be close to the Mediterranean, Aix, Luberon and more. It was more or less the perfect family relaxation for us. We also loved the pool with shallow steps where our girls learned to swim.

Un lieu enchanteur, des hôtes adorables !

Nous avons réservé cette maison pour retrouver notre famille qui passait quelques jours dans la région. Nous avons été accueillis par des hôtes charmants dans leur belle maison, décorée avec goût et si agréable pour un séjour en famille. Après midi à la piscine, barbecue et concours de pétanque le soir sous la guinguette! Au petit petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, nous sommes restés ensemble à contempler le jardin, on entend les oiseaux, il y a des écureuils peu craintifs qui viennent boire sur les berges, des oiseaux viennent s’y baigner et…quelle n’a pas été notre surprise, de voir de bon matin, un couple de faisans approcher prudemment en cherchant leur nourriture jusqu’au bord de l’escalier! Ma famille a adoré ce séjour, nous nous sommes sentis tout simplement chez nous, comme si nous nous retrouvions dans une maison de famille, au calme, loin du brouhaha de la ville. Nous avons apprécié le soin qui a été pris pour notre accueil, ainsi que les attentions gourmandes que nous avons pu dėcouvrir à notre arrivée. Nous en garderons, autant que de l’accueil des propriétaires, un excellent souvenir, nous y reviendrons sûrement ! Nous recommandons sans hésitation. Des vacances gâchées par des hôtes autoritaires et pas arrangeants

Nous avons choisi cette location pour l'espace extérieur, pour un séjour en famille (grand-parents, enfants trentenaires et bébé de 6 mois). Seul le cadre a été à la hauteur. La maison est chargée en meubles anciens et oeuvres d'art. On a peur de toucher à tout, c'est très encombrant. Le concept musée/boutique d'antiquité n'est pas adapté à une maison de location de vacances. Nous avons été pris en grippe par les propriétaires dès l'état des lieux J1. Des gens autoritaires et froids. Un robot se trouve dans la piscine 24/24, il est relié à un câble de 4m qui se ballade dans l'eau, autour des baigneurs. Très désagréable et même dangereux pour les enfants, risque de strangulation! Il nettoie le jour et dort la nuit, ingénieux. La piscine est soit dit en passant pas aux normes selon la loi, aucune barrière de sécurité et un système infrarouge désactivé car je cite "trop sensible". Il est strictement interdit de toucher au robot, c'est ainsi vous devrez vous baigner en sa compagnie. À vouloir insister pour trouver un compromis de type éteindre le robot le temps de la baignade et le rallumer ensuite (car la fonction d'un robot est de nettoyer pas de filtrer) nous nous sommes attirer les foudres des propriétaires. Un changement de comportement notable. Nous arrivons du Canada pour faire rencontrer notre bébé à nos parents respectifs, nous avons quelques amis dans la région dont la marraine du petit. Ils étaient bien au courant du contexte lors de nos échanges très cordiaux avant l'arrivée. Sur le règlement il est mentionné aucune visite sans le consentement des propriétaires. Consentement oral obtenu sur place avant de nous envoyer un mail de menace d'annuler la réservation si nous recevions du monde pour passer la journée (suite à la discussion du robot). Nous sommes une famille, pas le profil festifs ni bruyants. Les propriétaires se sont montrés intrusifs, ils sont entrés dans le jardin en notre absence pour prendre des photos et non disponibles. Suite à une intervention programmée de leur part pour régler l'arrosage automatique et vérifier la piscine, nous avons constaté que le robot était à l'arrêt. Donc plus de nettoyage et cela a duré 2 semaines, malgré nos relances. Nous avons nettoyés nous même! Lors de l'état des lieux pour la sortie, ils se sont présentés une heure avant l'horaire prévu avec un huissier de justice. Hallucinant! Du jamais vu! Et pour couronner le tout, ils essaient de nous charger la faute de la panne du robot. Fuyez!

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances !

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par nos hôtes dans leur belle maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût et de délicatesse. La maison est très confortable et il n’y manque rien ! Elle est de plus très bien située. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Magnifique

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine malgré un temps médiocre, grâce au confort de la maison : vaste, lumineuse, joliment meublée et décorée, bien chauffée (!) et parfaitement équipée. A l'extérieur, le terrain est immense, avec une piscine ravissante, un grand terrain de boules et une terrasse ombragée jolie et confortable. Les seuls voisins visibles sont les chevaux, les oiseaux et les écureuils. On se sent au milieu de la Nature. Les propriétaires sont adorables, à l'écoute, généreux, discrets et disponibles si besoin. Nous n'avons qu'une envie c'est de revenir avec un temps ensoleillé, pour pouvoir profiter complètement de cette propriété si extraordinaire.

Excellent séjour dans un environnement privilégié

Maison très accueillante dans laquelle on se sent tout de suite à l'aise. Bel environnement arboré dans la nature ; écureuils et tourterelles sont bien de même que d'autres oiseaux (pies, geais, petits freux... Juste, attention aux moustiques, le soir, cette année ; ils devaient particulièrement apprécier "le parisien" :-) Hôtes très agréables, à l'écoute, sans être intrusifs. A great stay in La Ferme Des Vences!

Just returned from a great 14 day holiday at Fredric’s and Helene’s beautiful house. Once stables, The place has been renovated and decorated with really nice antiques and collector items has central airconditioning in the living room that managed to keep the adjacent bedrooms fairly cool, even when we hit 42 Celsius! The kitchen is very well equipped for those that wish to do some proper home cooking. The Garden is absolutely huge and has apart from a swimming pool also a vegetable /herb garden and a petanque court that we had a lot of fun with!. As hosts, Fredric and Helene were super nice and helpful, making reservations for restaurants, given tips for day trips and making sure we had everything we needed.
