With an ideal location at the historic center, this apartment is at one of the most fashionable quartiers of Lisbon, near by the embassies, down town, with monuments, shops, restaurants, and the very buzzy night life, at 400 mts, at the new fasionable area of Cais do Sodré. The Chiado and Bairro Alto quartiers are only at 10/15 mn, walking distance.
As a residencial area, provides also the necessary security and rest.
The river shore is at 300mts, and it's a very pleasant area to walk, stay at esplanades and eat at numerous good restaurants of shellfish and seafood.
Boat cruises and nautic sports are also very viable at the river, as long as several very interesting museums visits, near by the river, as the Orient Museum, the Electricity Museum, the CCB Museum, the Horse Carriages Museum, the Royal Horse Arena, thr Presidencial Museum, the Belem Tower, the Marina, the Discoveries Monument, the Ieronimus Monastery, etc.
The cultural life of the city is also present with the proximity of several theaters and Opera House, at 10/15mn, walking distance, at Chiado quartier.
Public transports are also provided, with the buses, trams and táxis at the end of the street (50mts).

Wonderful stay in lovely neighbourhood for large group

The home is perfect for large groups. Lots of nice restaurants and cafe's/supermarkets nearby. Short walk into town, markets and to the train station. Felt very safe, but lively, with a bit of noise at night. Maria communicated really well and was very kind. She let us checkout a little late and that was super helpful. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds not too bad. Overall, highly recommend!

Lovely Lisbon

Maria is an excellent hostess and left a nice bottle of wine and some fruit in the refrigerator for us. The apartment was spacious for our group of 5, with a well appointed kitchen and a washing machine which was much appreciated. The location is excellent, very walkable with many good restaurants and shops close by. We had a bit of trouble with the water heater, but Maria was very responsive and gave us some tips to get it working properly. We would definitely stay here again.

Delightful, centrally located apartment

This charming apartment was a lovely home for our family during our stay. With plenty of nearby coffeeshops, restaurants, bars and transit, we were never bored. The apartment is an easy walk to the Santos light rail station, which easily and cheaply connected us to the metro and other outside-the-city destinations. Although the neighborhood had a few lively nights during our stay, we were able to keep the noise out by using the doors that block off the floor to ceiling windows. Having so many bedrooms and two bathrooms helped our group (8 people) fit easily and comfortably and having a kitchen handy was a great help.

great location and friendly host

if you need space this is optimal. many rooms with a variety of set ups, 2 baths and a couple of couches to hang out during hot afternoons. It's so close to the ocean that the lack of AC wasn't a problem when it was very hot during the day. the location makes the city within walking distance with quaint restaurants and shops near you and transportation so very close. A couple of bumps with the washing machine and other stuff but nothing deal breaking and Maria was so helpful with her helper who solved the issues. Perfect for a group. go to dear breakfast down the street.

Elegant -- spacious -- perfect location with a perfect host

This would be 5 stars except for one aspect over which the owner has no control, described later. The apartment is absolutely stunning -- a venerable building in a historic area, but with all modern comforts. We were a large (8) adult family group, and we found the location perfect -- convenient to public transportation (including the #28 Tram which is a big attraction for visitors) and within walking distance of many interesting areas. The neighborhood itself is not a highly touristed area, with a lively, hip vibe, with many wonderful restaurants, cafes, markets, bakeries etc right there. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed, which suited our group because we enjoyed spending time together in the apartment. Maria Cristina is the perfect host -- she was extremely responsive and helpful, recommending a driver from the train station, and responded to all messages very promptly. As mentioned above, the one problem we had was with a new music club downstairs that apparently had opened a few weeks earlier -- the music was very loud, very late, as well as loud clubgoers outside, making it impossible to sleep. We complained to Maria Cristina and she pursued the matter with the club. It wasn't as bad the next two nights, but it was still a loud scene. I really hope this situation can be resolved, because aside from that I cannot recommend this apartment, or Maria Cristina, highly enough.

Schöne Altbauwohnung in perfekter Lage

Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super ausgestattet. Die Vermieterin Maria Cristina ist sehr nett. Alle Absprachen haben perfekt geklappt, von der Taxiabholung vom Flughafen bis zur Vorbereitung der Betten nach unseren Wünschen. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft gefüllt, sogar Duschgel und Shampoo war vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt zentral, es gibt viele Bars in der Nähe, U-Bahn in 15 Minuten erreichbar.

Gute Lage, nette Wohnung

Schöne Wohnung in guter, relativ zentraler Lage am westlichen Rand des Barrio Alto. Dadurch nicht durch die Touristenmengen betroffen, nette kleine und untypische Restaurants in einem Radius von 250 m. Das zweite Bad ist relativ eng und klein, auch wirkt das Wohnzimmer durch sehr viele Stühle eher gedrungen, was nicht sein müsste. Wir waren mit 4 Männern vor Ort und konnten so die Großzügigkeit der einzelnen Räume genießen. Toller Service: für das erste Frühstück hatte die Vermieterin gesorgt, auch für den ersten Schluck portugiesischen Wein. Sollten wir die sehenswerte Stadt demnächst noch einmal besuchen, gehört dieses Appartement ganz bestimmt zur ersten Wahl.

Eine Altbauwohnung mit Flair ideal gelegen für einen touristischen Aufenthalt

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt kennenzulernen mit netten kleinen Restaurants um die Ecke. Maria ist sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit kooperativ und kümmert sich um ihre Gäste. Wir waren 7 ältere Erwachsene, die die Wohnung zu fünft ideal gefunden hätten, was die Zimmeraufteilung angeht.

Große gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung im Zentrum von Lissabon

Schöner Aufenthalt in Lissabon, in einer prima eingerichteten Wohnung. Alles war da, der Kühlschrank war für uns gefüllt mit Lebensmitteln, die für die ersten Tage reichten. Die Lage war sehr zentral und verkersgünstig gelegen. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, wir hatten mit 8 Personen ( 2 Familien) viel Platz und jede Familie hatte ein eigenes Bad. Die sehr nette Vermieterin hat uns auch günstig einen Fahrdienst vom und zum Flughafen organisiert. Insgesamt ein gelungener Urlaub, da kommt man gerne wieder hin.

Gepflegte Wohnung in zentraler Lage

Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und spricht gut englisch. Dass wir mit 10 Männern ihre Bude stürmten, machte ihr nichts aus. Im Gegenteil: sie hatte schon Bier kalt gestellt. Sie wies uns noch darauf hin, dass wir Rücksicht auf die anderen Hausbewohner nehmen sollen. Aber wir hatten den Eindruck, dass sonst aktuell niemand im Haus wohnte. Bezahlung und Kommunikation klappten problemlos. Zum Appartement selbst: es ist alles da, was man braucht und optisch gibt es auch ein paar Highlights. Im Übrigen sehr klassisch eingerichtet, mit Altbau-Charme. Geschmackssache. Aber man hat den Eindruck, mitten drin und wie ein Einheimischer zu leben. Die Doppelbetten sind meistens nur 1,40 m breit. Einziges Manko: die Betten könnten bequemer sein. Zur Lage: Topp. Alles ist schnell erreichbar, auch zu Fuß. Wenn man müde ist, muss man nur bergab laufen und kommt irgendwann an. Wir empfehlen die Wohnung weiter.

Schöne Wohnung, gute Lage

Wir waren mit zehn Jungs da. Das war für die sehr nette Vermieterin aber kein Problem. Wir haben uns ja auch benommen. Sie meinte nur, wir sollen nicht zu laut sein, wegen der Nachbarn. Wir hatten aber den Eindruck, alleine in dem Haus zu sein. Empfangen wurden wir von der Vermieterin schon mit ein paar Vorräten und sogar einem kalten Bier. Sie spricht gut englisch. Die Lage ist Topp. Eigentlich sind alle wichtigen Ziele zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zahlung und Kontakt verliefen völlig problemlos. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Einziges Manko: die Betten waren etwas schmal. Aber sonst können wir es nur weiter empfehlen.

Wohnung mit nostalgischem Flair

Die Lage der Wohnung ist herrlich und viele Ecken Lissabons sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Darunter gibt es ein süßes, ansprechendes Café. Morgens bis zum frühen Nachmittag scheint die Sonne hinein in das Wohnzimmer.☀️ Die Vermieterin reagierte schnell auf Nachfragen und hieß uns bei der Ankunft mit Abendbrot und Zutaten für ein erstes Frühstück willkommen, was uns sehr erfreute. Es sollte erneut eine Endreinigung bezahlt werden (50€), was sich jedoch nach Nachfrage bei ihrer Agentur klären ließ, da laut Annonce die Endreinigung inclusive war. Die Ausstattung des Hauses war ok. Die Wohnung ist sehr alt, hat Charme, besitzt nostalgisches Flair, herrlich hohe Decken und ist nett möbliert. Die Ausstattung der Küche und der Betten ist einfach , es gab keinen funktionierenden Staubsauger. Die Vermieterin wohne laut eigenen Angaben 50km entfernt , offerierte einen Handwerker, falls notwendig. Wir zögerten, sie bezüglich kleinerer Defekte zu kontaktieren. Für eine kleinere Gruppe ist die Wohnung bei einfachem Anspruch empfehlenswert. Für neun Personen etwas klein. Mit freundlichem Gruß Eine Gruppe Lissabon Begeisterte

Eine gemütliche Wohnung in einer tollen Lage

Die Wohnung ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet , auch ein erstes Frühstück war bereit. Ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer lädt zum ausspannen ein, in der Küche kann man gut auch ein Nachtmahl zubereiten wenn man das Haus mal nicht verlassen will. Die Wohnung ist hell und sauber man fühlt sich sofort daheim.Die Schlafzimmer und die beiden Bäder ermöglichen auch einer Familie entspannt zu beginnen. Bäcker und Geschäfte sind in unmittelbarer Nähe, auch einige Lokale sind in Gehweite. PArkplatzsuche ist mit etwas Geduld verbunden. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilft gerne bei Fragen.

The perfect apartment for a perfect stay in Lisbon. Lisbon shimmered beautifully and we packed a lot in each day before retiring to the handily-placed and cool apartment. Maria Cristina proved to be a helpful owner while the beds were comfy and the living room cosy. There’s a bar below and the coffee maker proved temperamental but don’t let that put you off as it didn’t for us providing a 5star review.

Purtroppo la vacanza non ha avuto un buon epilogo in quanto la proprietaria dell'appartamento ha ritirato tutta la cauzione adducendo danni all'appartamento non contestatici di persona in quanto nonostante il checkout programmato, la stessa non si è presentata all'appuntamento. Solo dopo la nostra partenza la proprietaria ha denunciato danni che non abbiamo arrecato. La mancata presenza della proprietaria in fase di checkout è grave in quanto gli ospiti non hanno la possibilità di obiettare alle osservazioni. Pertanto la nostra esperienza è fortemente negativa.

We, 5 ladies from Sweden, lived in Maria Christina´s flat for 4 days 1-5 Sept 2019. The flat had a good location, was nicely furnished and well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The owner of the apartment was very helpful with different matters such as booking a privat trip to Sintra including a nice sightseeing along the coast back to Lisbon. She also made a reservation to a really nice restaurant where we enjoyed an amazing Fado show. Thanks Maria Christina for a really nice stay in your flat! Eva Ingrid Ulla Britt Ingbritt

Great location! Clean and spacious. There’s a bar right underneath it could get loud, but we were so tired from shenanigans we slept right thru it. Maria was very responsive at all times. Thank you!

My name is Maria Cristina Vidal, i was born in Lisbon and i love my city, where i studied History and Arts History, where i have some of my best friends and family. Nowadays , i live outside, at 25mn away.
Lisbon has an active lifestyle, but also light, cool, with many cultural offers and where we can be easily talking or take a walk with friends, near by the river or at any of the many nice city gardens.
The Expo area, the new orient zone, is perfect for all the open air activities, shopping, movies, and visits to the thematic pavillions, as the one of Knowlwdge and Science, and the great Oceanary, with some of the best aquatic world specimens.
Also by the rivershore, at 200mts straight away from the apartment, we can find all kind of activities, since nautic, at the Nautic Club in Belém, the sail boat trips, fishing, bycicles renting, segways, tuktuks, walks, horse cars, river cruises, to the pleasure of enjoying a relaxing sunset, in one of the many splanades across the city, listening any world music, or a good fado , our national song, in one of the tipic fado 'houses', or at the Fado Museum, where we can also have dinner, listening some of our best interpreters.
Lisbon has a very rich cultural and architecture patrinomy,showing traces still from it's greek foundation, also from all the different and many civilazations that cross this land and left their marks, till its most glorious epoch, when Portugal open its frontiers and made a vast empire, in the five continents.
Despite all the big natural catastrophies, the city reborned from the ashes, keeping many of the traces from the earlier civilazations.
Despite the fantastic and well preserved historic center, Lisbon is also a very modern and vibrant capital, with all the newest technologies, cultural life and health centers offers.

The building is an original prototype of the 'gaiola pombalina', a building technic appeared at the XVIII century, before the big earthquake in 1755, that destroied the most part of the city.
It has a lobby in stone, is spacious, with high ceilings, big door/windows with balconies, two original XVII century tail walls,wooden floors, and all the rest of materials are also original, even the glasses, hand made done.
