Das LC Cottage befindet sich in einer ruhigen Gegend, ideal für diejenigen, die sich ausruhen und entspannen möchten, oder für die berühmten Levadas, die auf Madeira wandern. Man kann einige der erstaunlichen Levada-Wanderungen genießen, wie Portela - Ribeiro Frio, Levada da Serra, die Santo da Serra mit Camacha verbindet und für seine Blumen, Volkstanzmusik und Weidenkörbe berühmt ist.

A very peaceful location with great proximity to the airport and near a pleasant village. It is a tidy and compact cottage that was perfect for our family and Patricia was very helpful. It was pleasant to sit outside the cottage and enjoy the lush greenery. It's best not to let kids wander up the driveway toward the main house as there are large guard dogs that can surprise you.

Perfect host! Perfect cottage! Perfect holiday!

Patricia was very welcoming when we arrived! She also stocked up some food for us! This was so nice after a whole day of traveling. She recommended a few walks for us and places we could eat. On the last evening we got invited to a traditional “Quinta” for a jazz concert which was absolutely amazing experience! I can’t recommend it more:) Thank you Patricia for everything and for sending our postcards!

Lova;ly cottage near the mountains

Had a lovely week in this delightful cottage in Santo de Serra. Great hosts who met us and provided madeira wine, fruit, local bread, ham and cheese on our arrival. Patricia was also really helpful finding me a dentist as my tooth had broken on the journey, plus giving good information on local restaurants we especially liked Lilys in Machico. It is an ideal location for visiting the East of the island and not far to Funchal either. We had a mixed bag of weather, but found if it was grey and raining when we woke up we only had to go down to sea level and further west and the sun would come out. We did have some sunshine every day and managed to go everywhere we wanted to. The log fire was lovely each evening and one of the channels on the TV showed films. Can't wait to return to Madeira again.

Au calme, entre mer et montagne...

Nous avons passé deux semaines magnifiques dans le chalet de Patricia et Fernando (accueil chaleureux et repos assuré). Le soleil a toujours été au rendez-vous, bien que nous étions en novembre. Randonnées dans la journée, baignades en fin d’après-midi, le rêve ! A ne pas manquer à Santo Antonio da Serra, le marché du dimanche, avec des producteurs locaux qui proposent toutes sortes de fruits et légumes de leur jardin, et le restaurant près du Champ de foire pour un repas typique.

Très agréable gîte

La maison se trouve sans un site très calme et bucolique (seul parfois des chiens manifestent leur rôle de gardien). On s’y sent vraiment très bien. L’équipement de cuisine est peut-être un peu sommaire. L’accueil de Patricia a été fabuleux. Elle nous a attendu assez tard et nous avait préparé un en-cas pour le soir et le petit déjeuner. Une petite bouteille de Madère et des fleurs nous attendaient dans le logement. Nous avons passé là un trop court séjour que l’on n’oubliera pas.

Very comfortable little bungalow

Patricia and Fernando were very welcoming, and even provided some food and Madeira wine to start the week off well. The kitchenette is excellent, the sofa very comfortable in front of the tv and log fire ( cold weather that week). Lots of space in the bedroom, with a great bed and good shower. It's just outside a nice village, Santo Antonio da Serra, where you can buy local produce to cook at the cottage.

Nice and comfortable house. All perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The place is quite and the house nice, well decorated. Big windows with lot of light. It has all what we needed. Fernando was waiting for us, the woodstove was burning and the house was very warm. Everyday we made fire, it was really nice and comfortable to be in front of the fire. Lot of wood was ready for us. Small kitchen with all necessary things and fridge. Evrything was clean and well arranged. Big garden to relax and eat outdoors, if weather is good. Parking inside the property. Well located to do trekking and visit other things. Easy to find. Big supermarket at 10minutes. Patricia and Fernando were very kind and friendly, they left some fruit for us and help us to arrange transport to do a hiking. Hope we can come back to Madeira, we will choose same place to stay.

Quiet & cosy place

Great

The cottage is well located and very well equipped. The owners Patricia and Fernando are very friendly and helpful, and they pay attention to detail to make your stay even more special (from the courtesy bowl of fruit and biscuits to the daily load of wood for the fireplace). They also arranged a cot for our baby and they even mailed the coats we left behind. We had a great time in Madeira, partly thanks to Patricia and Fernando. Thanks again!

Fabulous accommodation, hospitality and location!

Excellent

We stayed in this cottage for 9 nights and we left with regret. The cottage is excelent, located in a convenient place to Funchal and all attractions in the vicinity. It's very neat and tidy, and a daily supply of wood for the fireplace makes it snug even during colder days. Patrícia and Fernando gave us a warm welcome and were always very helpful. If you want nice holidays - choose this cottage - you won't regret. Cheers!

"Esta casinha está num sí...

"Esta casinha está num sítio privilegiado no Santo da Serra. Através das indicações da proprietária e devido á sua proximidade ao campo de golfe, é muito fácil encontrar este cantinho fantástico. Foi um fim de semana muito agradável, sentimo-nos confortáveis num ambiente rústico e característico desta zona. Foi magnifico sair á rua durante a noite, observar as estrelas num cenário escuro, usufruir o seu silêncio e simplesmente ouvir a natureza. Agradecemos muito a hospitalidade e simpatia dos proprietários, Patrícia e Fernando, pois fizeram todos os possíveis para tornar a nossa estadia o mais agradável possível. "This is a charming cottage, set in the mountains, and affording peace and quiet. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and we received an excellent welcome. The location is ideal for many of the most popular beauty spots. Although there are regular buses, independent transport is recommended."
