Couldn’t beat the location for walking around old San Juan. The accommodations were just as described and the outdoor patio had great views of sunsets and mountains. Yes, the stairs are challenging, but it was known going in that we were going to have to go up four flights. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at the penthouse. The location was ideal for what we were looking for - walkable to essentially all of Old San Juan. The terrace was a great spot to hang out, overlooking the city.

Prime spot in Old San Juan - Beautiful & Central place

We had a fabulous time! It was a wonderful place to stay, comfortable, stylish and just as good if not better than the photos. Paloma was an attentive and thoughtful host, the best. It's the top floor so you do climb a number of steps but it's so worth it because the private deck on the top of the bldg is so wonderful. We spent as much time out there as we could. It is easy to walk all of old San Juan from this place. No car needed - better not to have one. Enjoy!

Clean and comfortable

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything as described, well stocked and very clean. The location was close to alot of restaurants and points of interest. The patio was great, felt like we were on top of the world. Great communication as well ! We even survived all those stairs!!!

Wonderful!

Paloma was a gem, great communicator! What a beautiful penthouse in a great location in Viejo San Juan. A mesmerizing view from the terrace, that comes with a four legged friend who lounges for fun and gives great company. Highly recommend a stay here, just be prepared to climb some steps, but completely worth it. Looking forward to a future visit again!

Lovely relaxing stay in old San Juan

The apartment is exactly as described and depicted in photos on the listing. Very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the terrace every day and the views of the harbor and the historic city are fantastic. Everything is within an easy walk no need for a car. We will be back!

Perfect Location

We loved our stay in Old San Juan. Beautiful location, nice apartment. It has character, nice art and books, well outfitted kitchen, although we did not cook. Our only comment is that the cleaning between guests could be more thorough and there are a few minor maintenance issues, like light bulbs out and a leak in the roof and under the bathroom sink that should be attended to.

Perfecto!

This apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious, comfortable, with a gorgeous rooftop terrace in an absolutely perfect location. It is walkable to all of the amazing sites and shops and restaurants in Old San Juan, and also a fairly short walk to beautiful El Escambron beach. The beds are very comfortable (just the right amount of firm) and the shower/bathroom space and kitchen space are all great, with everything you will need! The owner is wonderful and very responsive. Overall, this was absolutely perfect for my two teenage daughters and me and I would most definitely stay here again!

Loved this place!

My husband and I absolutely loved Paloma's apartment! We stayed a week and will definitely be going back again soon. It's in a great location ... not too busy or noisy, and only a couple of minutes' walk to reach the centre where all the hustle and bustle of Old San Juan happens. The apartment is spotless, spacious and safe as it's on the 3rd floor. The private terrace is large and great for sundowners or tanning. Paloma was really helpful and responsive too. My husband worked a bit while we were there and the space and wifi speed was good.

Lovely top floor place with great terrace and views

We really enjoyed staying at Paloma’s place. It’s in one of the best parts of Old San Juan. The terrace and views across OSJ and the bay are unparalleled. It was lovely to spend evenings on the terrace. It is also fairly quiet for OSJ, above the fray of the city. Bedroom was comfortable and quiet. Kitchen is well equipped, we actually cooked quite a few meals there. Highly recommend this place, if everyone in your party has good mobility. The stairs can be challenging, as the condo is on the third floor, and when inside, there are steps between the rooms.

My wife and I have stayed at over a dozen rental properties across the world and agreed that this is our favorite. It could not be more welcoming from the moment you walk in. Bit of a climb up the stairs, but your reward is a light-filled living space with those views of Old San Juan that you're looking for. It is ridiculously close to attractions like El Morro and Casa Blanca, which we visited, but honestly we spent a lot of time just reading on the expansive patio. The kitchen has everything you need, and I was in awe of the mid-century modern bookshelves and closets. Incredibly, the house is even in a rare quiet corner of Old San Juan, a street with only local traffic, so it is very peaceful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Charming apartment with artistic vibe

We had a fabulous stay in Old San Juan. The position of the apartment could not be better, & we loved sauntering through the old cobbled streets. The last flight of stairs up to the apartment are a challenge, particularly with bags. We had no problem but can imagine that peeps with young children or with mobility issues may struggle. Check in was a breeze & any questions were answered quickly. We loved hanging on the terrace & watching the cruise ships sail by, particularly at night. The apartment has an artistic vibe & an interesting layout. It’s full of character & a little quirky, in a good way! We loved it & plan to return next year.

Loved our stay!

Loved our stay! Couldn’t have picked a better location! A few things I may have missed when booking!! There are A LOT of stairs to climb to get to the unit! Worth the climb but if you have any sort of issues with climbing stairs/carrying possibly heavy luggage up 3 very HIGH stories of stairs I wouldn’t stay here. It’s beautiful and we loved it but gosh it was a lot of stairs to climb!! Also air conditioning can’t be left on when you’re not in unit so it can be very warm upon entering until until is cooled off. Again you figure it out and it’s worth it but these are two things I may have just read over prior to booking!! But would 100% stay in this unit again!!
