A really lovely house with a beautiful view. Good location convenient for walking into Uzès, though anyone with large cars should be aware it is mostly accessed via a narrow side road (our 4-door was fine with some careful manoeuvring!). A very well-equipped and pleasantly decorated house, the swimming pool and other facilities were well-maintained, and the owners very responsive by text message.

Great house in superb location

Very spacious property with lovely open views to countryside yet only a 10 min walk into the centre of Uzes past the local vineyard.

Family trip to Uzes

Excellent house for our family of parents, adult children, spouses/partners and our first baby grandchild. Being able to stroll into town is a major attraction.

Great welcome from Alain who gave us a thorough tour of the house. Everything we needed in terms of equipment for every part of the house was available. The pool and patio areas were brilliant and we spent most of our time there.Access to the house was a little tricky via the lane so we parked in the square nearby.Wi fi was excellent.Only problem was lack of air conditioning. Temperatures were extremely hot...35 and sleeping was very difficult.Plenty of room space and bedroom space.Easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Uzes.The freezer broke down in the first week but Alain replaced it within a day, which was geeat.

I rented this lovely home for a month-long stay and invited my significant other, my friends and my family to come in waves. We had one 3-year old and the rest were adults, up to ten people at once. Note that the room is advertised to sleep five was made up as one double bed and three twins (not five twins), which actually suited my group better. To say that the kitchen is well equipped is an understatement. We could have prepared meals for 50! The owners provided spices but be aware that no other items are provided (such as oil, vinegar, sugar etc). The location was idyllic with a short lovely walk into town. Do not rent a large car (neither long nor wide) if you intend to park it at the property. (There was nearby free parking too.). The pool was nice, warm enough but not heated, and maintained by the owner on an agreed upon schedule. This home is not sterile; it is warm and inviting and lived in. So, there might have been a little dust here and there but it was otherwise very clean (and I preferred the warm homey atmosphere to a perfectly clean home with no character). We were all non-smokers and did not smell smoke anywhere. Everyone that visited me commented on the property, stating that it was as perfect as it possibly could have been for our group - the home and the location (Uzès is vibrant and yet quaint.)Finally, my hosts were very accommodating and friendly, and made themselves available by WhatsApp for my entire stay.I would definitely return.

like visiting a friend, als ob man einen Freund besucht

It was a amazing stay. This house is wonderful and it feels like you stay at a friends home. There is really everything you need. Ein wunderschönes Haus, mit einer Ausstattung ohne Gleichen. Die Lage ist sehr nah zum Ortskern von Uzès, kaum 8 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Vom Elternschlafzimmer aus kann man auf einen überdachten Belkon, der nach Osten zeigt. Dort mit einer Tasse Kaffe den neuen Tag begrüßen, wir werden es vermissen. Das Ehepaar Ravaux ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für alle Hundebesitzer gilt, hier kann man einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbringen. Wir waren zu viert mit einem Hund. Wenn wir wieder in die Provence reisen sollten, werden wir definitiv versuchen dieses wunderbare Haus nochmals zu bekommen.

Beautiful house

Super huis vlakbij de stad. Je kan te voet naar het stadje wat voor ons een pluspunt was. Vlakbij is ook een wijndomein wat ook de moeite is. Het huisje zelf is goed uitgerust. We hebben vooral buiten geleefd. Kamers op de 2e verdieping waren moeilijk af te koelen. Zou het huisje zeker aanraden

quelques améliorations à faire

Nous avons loué à une période extrêmement chaude et nous n'avons pas pu utilisé la clim alors que celle-ci est installée??? Le midi nous ne pouvions pas manger sur la terrasse (trop chaud) et à l'intérieur pas de table pour 10 personnes (sur l'annonce c'est la table qui est sur la terrasse, nous n'étions pas là pour faire du déménagement tous les jours). Dans certaines chambres pas de rangement pour les vêtements. Dans la chambre avec salle de bain rouge aucun meuble de rangement (mes vêtements sont restés dans ma valise 15 jours) l'endroit qui nous a le plus plu c'est la piscine et la terrasse

Je vous remercie pour votre appréciation qui nous aide à améliorer notre accueil. La pompe à chaleur n'est installée que dans la pièce à vivre (50 m²) pour la chauffer l'hiver, ce que je vous ai expliqué dès votre arrivée et la climatisation n'est jamais mentionnée sur l'annonce. Je suis désolé des désagréments que vous évoqués, le Gard est réputé pour son ensoleillement estival.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette maison charmante, avec une belle vue, proche du centre ville. Cette maison se prête très bien á des vacances en groupe , ou on peut se retrouver tous ensemble au bord de la piscine ou se retirer seul sur une terrasse ou un coin de jardin.

Superbe

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances. La maison est très grande et a beaucoup de charme. Le coin piscine est très agréable et la vue aussi. L'emplacement est fantastique, à 10 min de marche du centre d'UZES, c'est génial ! C'est au calme et la fois juste à coté de beaucoup d'animation. Monsieur RAVAUX est un très bon hôte, il est très accueillant, gentil et à beaucoup d'humour qui plus est. Bref je recommande !

Perfect location and really good property

We had a very good week here. The owners Alain and Marie were welcoming and very helpful . The house itself is spacious, very clean and very well equipped with everything you could possible need . The outdoor area beside the pool is fantastic.. very quiet, with lovely views . The pool is clean and well maintained . The town of Uzes is delightful and we enjoyed the short walk there and back to get fresh bread, enjoy the many cafes and restaurants and explore the old streets and buildings . We had good days out at Montpellier ( where you can use park and tram) , Avignon and the Roman aqueduct at nearby Pont du Gard . There is a very good Intermarche supermarket near to this property . Thank you Alain and Marie for a great holiday .

Great home for a family holiday

We enjoyed a lovely week in this great family home. We were a group of eight across three generations and had plenty of room. The terrace and views were beautiful and we enjoyed the breeze through the valley. Although there is not air conditioning in the bedrooms the house is quite cool and most of the rooms had fans. The kitchen is very well equipped with every possible utensil. The house is well located - just a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of the town. We also liked the vineyard at the end of the road, which was very friendly and had some lovely wines. Thank you for a great stay.

Underbart hus nära Uzes centrum

Praktiskt boende med välplanerade sovrum och ett mycket välutrustat kök. Utemiljön med en stor matplats, grillplats och poolen fungerade jättebra. Ägarna Marie och Alain gav oss ett mycket trevligt välkomnande och en bra introduktion till huset. Gångavstånd till Uzes centrum och närmaste vingården.

Fabulous Stay

We were met at the house by Alain and Marie. Their house is fantastic with plenty of room for everyone. It has a fully kitted kitchen and great outdoor dining area. The children spent hours in the pool. The south east facing aspect means that a pleasant afternoon breeze keeps you cool on those hot summer days. The house is only a 10 minutes stroll from Uzes town centre which has plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and a Saturday market which is quite something and should be experienced.

Perfect stay

We stayed for a week in mid-May. The house was perfect for our family, numerous bedrooms, a lovely large living room with a beautiful terrace, swimming pool and superb views. The house has a very quiet location, guaranteeing a perfect night sleep, and only a 10 min walk to Uzes town centre . Alain & Marie (hosts) are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend to all of our friends travelling to the area.

Perfect family holiday location

Eleven of us - three generations - tested the listing description of this house and found it to be completely accurate! It was cool and spacious and well and interestingly furnished, with the best-equipped kitchen ever. The pool was lovely, as was the terrace, with its beautiful views over the garrigue. The centre of Uzes was indeed only 10 minutes' walk away, so that getting fresh bread & croissants for breakfast, and visiting the fascinating medival centre of the city were both a pleasure - not always the case with very small children in tow. This is an area we know fairly well, and it was very hot, so going far afield was limited to various family members kayaking on the Gardon to the Pont du Gard, visiting the photography biennale in Arles, and mountain biking. Alain & Marie were kind and helpful, and we're very grateful to them for taking the trouble to return a precious blanket left behind by one of our granchildren. So, all in all, I can't recommend the house highly enough for a famly holiday.

Beautiful home in delightful Uzes

Beautiful home within easy walking distance of central Uzes with all its facilities of cafes, restaurants, shops and markets. Very comfortable, well decorated and stylish with fully stocked kitchen, the house is over 3 floors with its entrance on the top floor with games room, moving down to the bedrooms and finally kitchen on the lower floor opening to the pool area and garden - the pictures do not really do it justice! One minor point - don't forget to ask for towels! Alain and Marie are a lovely couple and very attentive. Merci beaucoup! Sean
