We do want to clarify that the issues you mentioned—including the condition of the pull-out couch, mattress, and bedding—were not brought to our team’s attention at any point during your stay. Had we been made aware, we would have immediately sent our team to assess the situation and resolve it to your satisfaction. Cleanliness, comfort, and clear communication are top priorities for us, and we encourage all guests to reach out with any concerns so we can address them in real time. We're truly sorry we did not have the opportunity to work with you on this during your visit. Additionally, professional pest control has always been part of our routine property care, performed on a regular schedule with touch-up applications as needed to ensure our property remains clean and comfortable for all guests. We also want to acknowledge the ceiling stain concern and leak you mentioned. Our maintenance team responded promptly during your stay to address a leak affecting a neighboring unit, and since then, we’ve fully remodeled and updated the ceiling. The area you referenced has been completely repaired, and the previous condition no longer exists. Since your visit, we’ve continued with routine updates to keep the condo fresh and welcoming—recent efforts have included painting, kitchen improvements, and ongoing attention to guest comfort. We hope this response helps reassure future guests that the concerns mentioned were isolated and have been thoroughly addressed. Thank you for your feedback, Joe. We do always pay attention to where we can improve. We're not sure what you meant by overselling the pictures for the unit. We try to post current high resolution images for all our condos and this one is no exception. We will take a look and see where we can make some improvements as you mentioned. During the winter season when you came, tends me the worst for insects island-wide. The often wet conditions can cause the pests to come out in force. As you mentioned in your review, the property and around the unit are treated regularly, and we've this is the first we're hearing this being an issue at this unit. We will continue to monitor the situation to see if further steps need to be taken. We appreciate you being our guest. Mahalo!

Thank you for your review, Dawn. We're glad overall our condo seemed to work out well for you. Your arrival to the condo was prior to our 3pm check in time and I’m afraid you encountered our advance rooms inspector who was reporting on an issue that needed to be completed prior to check in. Your reference to property located on the opposite side of the landscaping area that surrounds our building is a residential development. We intend to share your comments with our property manager and request that they plant additional shrubs in order to conceal any possible views that would be considered unsightly, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. Ant sightings although fairly common on our tropical island we due maintain diligence with regularly scheduled pest control service. We always recommend that all food items be kept in the refrigerator or in tightly sealed bags. We will however be monitoring and have since reported the issue to our property manager. During your visit we did experience high winds, which often times interrupts our cable service. This is an issue island-wide with spectrum cable and as you mentioned just requires resetting the cable box. We’re going to revisit the exhaust fan in the bathroom and see what we can do about the noise and perhaps an additional switch to allow you to turn on one or the other. We are very sorry you had to deal with these issues during your stay, but are glad to hear you would stay here again. We would love the chance to make it up to you next time. Mahalo!

After you reported your early departure we immediately inspected to validate your concerns. The carpet indeed is in need of replacing and has been scheduled, we found no smells in the bathroom other than remnants of the cleaning solution we use to sanitize and clean the drains regularly. The sofa as you mentioned is difficult to pull out and we did see that the linens on the corner of the sleeper were caught in the frame at had torn the corner of the bottom sheet. We have addressed this with the owner who has committed to replacing both the carpet and the sofa as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

It doesn't tend to be loud at this location, in fact, usually our guests comment that it is pretty quiet and peaceful. This year we have experienced record temperatures since the summer, seeing 90 degree temps even into late October. Usually the trade winds and the A/C in the unit do keep things cool and comfortable. We do utilize the best cleaning service on island, so we're not sure what happened here, but we will raise the issue with them. As the four most recent reviews can attest, guests have been quite happy with our condo recently. This is the first we're hearing of this kind of feedback. We will take a look at where we can make improvements/upgrade in the units. In regards to the view, we're not sure how you were confused here, as we don't advertise the unit as having a ocean view.
