Wonderful Family Vacation

The house was spacious and comfortable, and the pool was great. The location was a convenient walk into a small town for breakfast or necessities or a short drive to Domme. We loved being so close to the river. Despite the heat, the house stayed cool and the AC in the tower rooms worked great.

Family adventure

Great facilities, pool & spa amazing, 3xfamily dining areas, two dishwashers!! Shower facilities in every bedroom and the owner was so helpful and accommodating. Traditional French farmhouse feel and great facilities for children. The barbecue area was exceptional.

Fantastic property. The location and facilities are 1st class. Staying for 2 weeks inJuly, the pool was well used and the option to have it covered when we had a couple of storms allowed the kids to enjoy it everyday. The rooms are very comfortable with aircon in the 2 tower rooms. The nearby towns, villages & cities were stunning and well worth a visit. The snack bar at the end of the garden next to the Dordogne was great and visited on numerous times. A fabulous stay and well worth a visit.

9 person family get together

Lovely property with lots of space. There is a great outdoor dining area that we used everyday. There is also lots of activities in the garden like a pool/hot tub, table tennis, and a trampoline. Laura was always available to help out if we had any problems and gave us lots of insight on the area. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect house for large family gathering

Eleven family and friends gathered to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. We cooked wonderful dinners at the well-equipped maison, ate a fabulous meal at Cabinouix et Chataigne in Domme, and had an over-the-top Indian feast cooked by Chef Imtiaz Hasan. Memories are made of this! Merci, Madame!

Lovely family house

Our family holiday was fantastic. The property is ideally located for the river, canoeing and the village. The house and the amenities were fantastic. The pool and hot tub in particular were well used by all the family. Marie could not be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she also recommended various places to eat. We have holidayed as a large family before but this property was by far one of the most comfortable. We will definitely return again.

A wonderful house by the Dordogne with an excellent hostess.

We enjoyed a lovely week in this house with its excellent pool and garden. The house is about 50 yards from the Dordogne and next to a canoe hire company. This resulted in many hours of fun for all our family. Marie-Odile is a lovely lady and knowledgeable host. She advised us on local restaurants and we visited an excellent one in Domme on two evenings. The other evenings we ate in the garden of the house which was lovely and very relaxing. Thank you Marie-Odile for providing us with such a wonderful holiday.

Beautiful setting and property

We stayed here for a few days as a group of friends after a wedding in a nearby Département. The house provided everything you could need for a relaxing stay in a beautiful and convenient location. Fantastic outside space with a. Large pool, which can be converted to indoors with the electric enclosure. Great hot tub, bbq facilities and outdoor activities such as a pétanque pitch and a trampoline. Inside, the house is superbly equipped for group stays with every convenience. The welcome experience was among the best we’ve ever encountered with the friendly and knowledgeable Marie-Odile and Laura explaining everything clearly. Nice touches like free beach towels for use by the pool, wine, etc. We will definitely be returning in future for a longer stay!

Superb!

We were a group of 16, 8 kids and 8 adults. The house was a great size, plenty of space and two big rooms for the kids to share. Lovely barbecue and garden, plenty of outside space to eat together. Two dishwashers and two fridge freezers! Big kitchen. Marie, the owner, let us know when as he was coming over, was very friendly, helpful and kept the pool and garden well maintained. She gave us lots of delicious tomatoes, courgettes and walnuts from her garden. Pool was a really good size with the option to be covered or uncovered, really useful given we had thunderstorms on our first day! We were next to a canoe hire place and spent a great day meandering down the river on canoes. The whole area is spectacularly beautiful! The walk to Domme is steep but worth it.

Fantastic holiday

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Marie-Odile’s property. We were a party of 16 (8 adults and 8 kids ages 5-11). Check in process very easy and Marie-Odile and Laura were on hand if ever needed. The outside space was perfect, beautiful large pool and boules court were the winners. Grounds are very pretty and not overlooked, even though there are a few neighbours it felt very private. Great private parking facilities right outside the house (across a very small quiet road) with plenty of space. The inside has rustic feel, very adequate for our party. Top 2 rooms (one with bunk beds and single beds) have air con units and were great for the kids. The area was even better than expected, kayak hire next door, the river can be accessed through the parking area and great for paddling. Short walk to gorgeous boulangerie and market (once a week ?tuesday). A couple of places to eat and drink. 2 min drive / 15 m walk to decent size suoermarket at top of town. Thanks for a great stay x

Fantastic house for family holiday

We were a multi-generational group, 8 adults, four young children/toddler and a baby and we had a brilliant week. The house is in a great location, with the river on the doorstep providing hours of fun, walking distance to boulangerie, supermarket, markets, pharmacy etc etc - a perfect combination of accessible to things, but also peaceful and beautiful location. Marie-Odile was a great host and very responsive once we arrived, although sometimes slow to answer queries before we came. Inside the house was very well equipped, just as described and the garden and the pool were very well kept and wonderful for children and adults alike. We would certainly go back! Our only drawback was that it was very hot for a lot of the week (38 plus for four days) and although there is air conditioning in the tower rooms and we kept all shutters, windows closed etc during the day, even so we had to buy 5 fans. We did know in advance this could be a problem if there was a heatwave, so Marie-Odile is not to blame, but I guess if this is going to become more common, then it may be a good idea for the owner to provide fans.

Fantastic option for large family gathering

We had a wonderful week at this French farmhouse for a family reunion including 4 families with children and grandparents (total 10 adults and 8 children aged 6 - 12). Enough bedrooms for each couple, 2 tower rooms for kids with multiple beds (plus air conditioning for them as they were higher), and adequate bathrooms. Each room had a sink and shower, 2 with en suite toilets and then shared toilets convenient for each bedroom. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed to cook in for most nights, and the large tables inside and out meant that we could all sit together. The pool was outstanding; kids loved it and it was warm, so it was used daily. The owner was available and very helpful, provided pool towels and extra bedding and gave advice on local options. The environment is lovely; steps from the Dordogne river where you can rent canoes or stand up paddles, a 10 minute walk to a fantastic patisserie, pharmacy, or grocery store, and short drives (or 30 minute walk uphill) to gorgeous Domme. Beautiful towns nearby like Sarlat, and Castelnaud. We also spent a day at ropes course / zip line facility nearby (Monkey forest) which was fun. Really loved our trip and would highly recommend. Definitely need a car; could drive from Bordeaux, Limoges, or Carcassone in under 3 hours.

Très belle maison dans une région magnifique

Tout est réuni pour passer un excellent séjour, en commençant par la maison où rien ne manque, chambres et salles de bain très agréables, séjour et cuisine adaptés aux familles nombreuses et une piscine très grande et agréable… dans une région superbe où les balades et visites ne manquent pas

Belle maison confortable et de caractère

Très belle grande maison avec son vaste séjour, sa cuisine de belles dimensions et bien équipée et ses 8 chambres, toutes équipées d'une douche ou d'une salle de bains. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la longue table dans le jardin et la belle piscine chauffée ainsi que le spa. Petits et grands ont également pu s'adonner au ping-pong, au jeu de boules, au baby-foot. Les adultes ont pu terminer leurs soirées autour du brasero dans le jardin. L'accueil par Madame Delahaye est très agréable. La maison est bien confortable et a beaucoup de caractère. Nous recommandons vivement !

Week-end entre amis

Week end dépaysant et reposant, un cadre magnifique dans une très jolie demeure, avec tout équipements, la literie est bonne. Merci à la propriétaire pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse.

Excellent séjour dans une région magnifique.

Le 'logis du port' est une grande propriété de style périgourdin. Les pièces sont vastes et la maison est très bien équipée. L'extérieur fleuri avec barbecue, grande piscine chauffée et spa pour 6, amène un bien-être paisible au séjour passé au bord de la Dordogne. Les commerces sont accessibles à pied. Et toutes les excursions proposées par le magnifique Périgord ne peuvent s'effectuer en un seul séjour. Cette propriété est donc un excellent lieu de vacances à la situation remarquable tout comme l'accueil de la propriétaire Mme DELAHAYE.
