We’re glad you found the cabin itself to be nice, although we’re disappointed that the outdoor experience did not meet your expectations. The cabin is approximately 1.5 miles from a local solid waste facility, as are many properties throughout the surrounding area. Odor is not a normal or consistent condition at the cabin; however, on occasion, weather patterns and wind direction can carry odors across a much broader area. Unfortunately, this is not something we can predict or control, and it may affect locations several miles from the facility. Our team also visited the property to investigate the concern, and there were no odors present as of yesterday. We will continue to monitor the situation, but this does not appear to be an ongoing condition at the cabin. We also appreciate your comments regarding the beds. Mattress comfort can vary by personal preference, but we will share your feedback with the property owner for consideration.

We’re disappointed to see a 2-star rating, particularly since no comments were provided explaining the score. During the stay, the pool heater experienced a malfunction that caused the water to become too warm for use on the first day. The issue was addressed, and the pool was usable beginning the following day. There was also an unexpected internet outage caused by the service provider. To minimize the inconvenience, we delivered a Wi-Fi hotspot so the guests would have internet access while the carrier worked on the issue. The provider was onsite on the second day of this five-night stay and confirmed that service had been restored. We also provided a substantial refund in consideration of the inconvenience experienced. While we understand the guests would have preferred additional compensation, we felt the refund provided was appropriate based on the issues and the length of time they affected the stay. Unexpected equipment and utility issues can occasionally occur, but we believe the most important thing is how quickly they are addressed. In this case, our team responded promptly, provided an alternative for the internet outage, and worked to restore both amenities as quickly as possible.
