Camp Goodnow - Beachfront home on LGI

Camp Goodnow is a three-bedroom, three-bath beachfront retreat on Little Gasparilla Island, offering direct beach access just steps from the sand. With room for up to six guests, this home is designed for relaxed coastal living, with multiple outdoor spaces to gather, unwind, and take in the Gulf views.
A private path leads from the house straight to the beach, while the spacious area beneath the home creates a comfortable outdoor hangout space complete with a grill, picnic table, and outdoor shower — perfect for rinsing off after a day in the sun. The main deck features Adirondack chairs tucked into shaded seating areas overlooking the water, and upstairs, the master bedroom opens to its own private deck with rocking chairs and sweeping beach views.
Inside, the layout offers privacy and convenience for families or small groups. One guest bedroom is located on the main floor with a full bathroom just across the hall. Upstairs, the primary suite and third bedroom each feature their own private full bathrooms.
Whether you`re spending your days on the beach, grilling downstairs after sunset, or enjoying your morning coffee while listening to the waves, Camp Goodnow offers an easygoing island setting made for slowing down and enjoying the coast.

Camp Goodnow is located on Little Gasparilla Island, which is a bridge-less barrier island. You will need to make an appointment with the water taxi, rent a boat, or bring your own boat. Bringing your own boat? The house has access to a community dock that is perfect for fishing or watching the beautiful sunrise over the Boca Grande Causeway. The dock has a 22ft. maximum and only allows 1 boat per household. Boat pass is required - no assigned slips, first come first serve.

For the water taxi, you’ll park your car at Eldred’s Marina and load your luggage on the water taxi there. The water taxi is $30 for up to 2 people, one way. Each additional person is $15, one way. The water taxi is by appointment only and its hours are 8:30-5:00. You can book appointments outside the normal hours of operation, but the cost is higher and varies based on the time.


The dock is about a ¼ mile walk or golf cart ride to the house.

Kayaks and fishing poles are not included with this rental.

There are not any grocery stores or restaurants on the island, but there is a grocery delivery service.

Golf cart is not included with rental – but there are 2 golf cart rental companies available on the island.


A rental agreement will be sent after booking and must be reviewed and signed by the primary guest to complete the reservation.


Pet policy: $100 per dog with advance notice and approval. Prohibited breeds: Akita, Boxer, Bull Terrier, Bullmastiff, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shephard, Giant Schnauzer, Mastiff, Ovtcharka, Presa Canario, Pit Bull, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rottweiler, Neapolitan Mastiff, Wolf, or Wolf Hybrid.

We reserve the right to not allow untrained and aggressive dogs. This is a dog friendly island; therefore, you may encounter other dogs. If your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or people, we do not allow them.
