My family and I stayed here while attending our son’s Coast Guard boot camp graduation, and it was a great fit for our group of seven. We wanted a place where we could stay together and cook our own meals, and this property met those needs well.The home is an older farmhouse, so there are naturally some limitations when it comes to modernization. That said, we stayed during an extreme heat wave with temperatures around or above 100F, and the window AC units did a surprisingly good job keeping the house comfortable. When we arrived, there was only one AC unit on the first floor, but Zach, the owner, quickly brought over and installed a second one, which was greatly appreciated.Communication from the rental agency was excellent, even during evenings and weekends. Zach went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. As a thoughtful surprise, he even purchased a graduation gift for our son and left it by the door, which meant a lot to our family.Although Zach lives on the property behind the house, we rarely saw him, and when we did, he was always friendly and respectful of our privacy.The only minor issue was that there seemed to be fewer bath towels than expected for a house that sleeps seven. However, that's truly nitpicking, as we had an otherwise wonderful experience.Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly return.
