Cottage life

Adorable cottage convenient to everything DI. Had a great stay over a long weekend. Quiet neighborhood with lots of charm. Check in and out were very convenient. The house is small but comfortable. It was perfect for our family of four.

Starfish Cottage

This stay was perfect! The location is great on Dauphin Island, just a five minute walk to the beach. This rental has everything you need for a small family. The outdoor shower was great! I would love to see a grill added but we managed to cook all the food we brought inside. Thank you for making this a unforgettable vacation for us!

Holiday/Birthday Vacation

Nice cottage! A small property, but not cramped. Bright and airy, and tastefully furnished. Plenty of towels. No dishwasher might be an issue for some. No linens provided for the sofa bed, and a BBQ grill would be a nice addition. Overall, a lovely place to stay and worth the reasonable fees.

Horrible Property Management and Stay

Good morning, I gave the place we stayed at a week since we go home and they still haven’t made our horrible stay right. We got there on Monday, April 1. We got groceries on our way in. The next morning our stuff in the freezer was melted and the fridge was less than where it should be. It took them until Wednesday to come out. So, not only did we loose our food, but had to spend even more money on going out. VACASA was horrible to talk with or get a hold of anyone. I asked for a credit, because I think it’s only fiat since we were out so much more money. The second thing, the description said “ Don't worry about lengthy clean-ups here: we have a dishwasher for your convenience.” There was NOT a dishwasher. When on vacation, it’s nice to have that, especially when the description said that. I asked VACASA about it and nothing, the only thing they did was change the description and tell me, “The description doesn’t list that.” I was smart enough to take a video screenshot of the listing where is shows that is was supposed to have one. Can you please look into all of this? We will NEVER use VACASA again, and you guys should NOT represent them. Thank you, Josh/Jess

We are disheartened to read that you experienced issues that kept you from fully enjoying your stay. We sincerely apologize for the refrigerator not working properly and for the inconvenience this caused your party. Our notes indicate that you were compensated for this during your stay and we hope this alleviated some of your frustration. Our local manager assured us that a technician inspected the refrigerator. A tray was in the freezer backward and was switched around and it is now in good working order. To clarify, our home does not have a dishwasher listed as an amenity and we are sorry this did not meet your expectations. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.
