Summary:
A five-minute walk to Jim Thorpe's Broadway and steps from Union Public House and Hairy Guys Brewing, this historic 1901 home sits on the quiet east side of downtown — easier parking, more space, and everything walkable.
Four bedrooms sleep a crowd. Perfect for families, wedding weekends, ski trips, and group getaways.
Hike Pikes Peak, bike the Lehigh Gorge, or ski Blue Mountain. Then unwind on the deck at the fire pit.
Fun fact: it's even been a movie filming location.
The Space:
This house is one block away from the bridge in Jim Thorpe. You can easily walk or bike to downtown or the Lehigh River Gorge State Park. There is excellent hiking and biking in town as well as some fun attractions and great restaurants! There is a host suggestion book in the house for you to get some ideas for your stay. There are now smart TVs in each bedroom also fir your enjoyment!
Please note, we take every precaution to clean and sanitize our space between renters using Steri-fab on mattresses and pillows as well as washing all bedding and cleaning surfaces with antibacterial cleaners.
Guest Access:
You will have access to most of this 1800 ft.² home. (The attic and basement aren’t for guests use) There are four bedrooms in this home. Three with queen-sized beds, and one with a full sized bed. Upstairs is a full bath and there is a powder room on the first floor. There is a large living space and an eat-in kitchen. We have a smart TV in the living room and also in each bedroom. There are side and rear decks as well as a small yard with seating and a propane fire pit. There is no parking on the property, however there is ample street parking on our block. Late check out or early check-in is by request only for an additional fee of $50.

Before departure, please place all used towels in the laundry basket provided in the center bedroom closet. Please just leave the beds you used unmade. If you would like to use the dishwasher during your stay, feel free. If there are any dishes at the end of your stay please just put them in the dishwasher and turn it on before you go. Dish and cleaning products are under the kitchen sink along with extra trash bags and the trash can. Please note: we have both a drip coffee maker (and filters) and a Keurig in the kitchen. We do supply Kcups, mini creamers and sugar, but feel free to bring your own favorites! There is a grocery store 0.2 miles away as well- the Jim Thorpe Market. A beer distributor and liquor store share the parking lot with the market.
Please note- there are enhanced cleaning policies in place and we always attempt to have the house sparkling clean for guests! We expect that you will treat us and our home respectfully and clean up food and trash after yourself as you go during your stay. Any unnecessary cleaning required after check out will incur additional fees.
