The CODtage is amazing! 60 steps from beach, 2.5 blks to boardwalk!

The CODtage is under new management to be certain to create a higher level and quality of management service. Most importantly, to ensure our clients have the best vacation stay and that we exceed their expectations by having better access for our guests.

The CODtage is a well-appointed, meticulously designed beach retreat. It is a short 2.5 blocks from the boardwalk where the carnival (carnival runs during high season), beach shops and restaurants reside. The CODtage is 60 steps from the beach, free wifi access and has a ‘peek’ view of the ocean from the front deck. This beauty was recently constructed and has everything one would need for your vacation stay! It is a 2 bedroom, 1 full bath home that has a primary bedroom with a comfortable king bed and the second bedroom has a bunkbed with a queen bed on the bottom and a twin XL on the top. It also has a washer and dryer for your convenience.

For your stay, the owners provide you with beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach blanket (all provided in the locked storage cabinet in the parking area) and an outdoor shower (with hot/cold water) to wash off the sand from a fun day on the beach. There is also a built-in picnic table protected/shaded under the CODtage for dining outside or just a place to drop your beach gear. The CODtage has high end appointments such as a induction stove/oven, quartz countertops, Kohler fixtures, Tupperware to use during your stay, pots/pans, enough plates/silverware/plates to last you several days without having to run the dishwasher, a pantry for your bulk food items, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, games to enjoy should you have a rainy day and/or want to stay inside to simply chill out, smart TV with streaming, beach towels for your use during your stay, CODtage has central heating/air conditioning and the home has an air purifying system that filters out 99% of germs in the home, etc. There is a CODtage binder in the home that assists you during your stay with inside knowledge of where to eat and what to see/do—be sure to consult that on your day of arrival, as it also has other important information you will want to read. SMOKING and VAPING ARE NOT PERMITTED inside the unit or anywhere on the exterior premises. NO PETS permitted.

Upon entering the CODtage you are greeted with a colorful gift sand pail filled with items you may want/need during your stay, as well as fun items for the beach such as a blow-up boogie board, a sand pail, kite with string, beach bag, sunscreen, bar of soap, SPF lip balm, sewing kit, pen with notepad, etc. —all complimentary gifts to take home with you. Dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels and body soap are all provided for our guests. In addition, toilet paper and laundry detergent are there for your use. Also, even though Carolina Beach is a safe haven, there are security cameras on the exterior of the property for added peace of mind for our guests during your stay. So, whether you are flying into the Wilmington area, or driving in, no need to overstuff your luggage or vehicles, or buy while you are here, because we have many of the items you would need for your use!

Carolina Beach is a perfect family-friendly OR romantic getaway with a variety of attractions to keep everyone entertained. Guests can stroll along the lively Carolina Beach boardwalk with its rides, games and local shops and restaurants OR explore the nature at Carolina Beach State Park which is home to hiking trails replete with Venus Fly Traps. On the island you can also experience the North Carolina Aquarium, tour the Civil War era Fort Fisher, you can fish either aboard a chartered boat or off the pier or beach, rent jet skis and ski along the Intercoastal Waterway, rent coaster bikes or ebikes and ride along the beautiful greenway on the island, take private surf lessons from a former World Surf Champion, take the car ferry from the south end of our island to Southport—a small village that has deep roots in fishing and has a quaint walkable downtown with fun shops and restaurants. Across the bridge in the Wilmington area you can tour the USS North Carolina battleship, a horse drawn trolley historic tour that is a MUST DO, visit the Train Museum, tour the Civil War era Bellamy Mansion, ride the large water wheel boat for a tour of the Cape Fear river, tour the Latimer House, walk the historic downtown area with charming homes from as early as the 1700s and cobblestone/brick streets, visit the Cape Fear Museum, and the downtown has great shopping and amazing restaurants. The restaurants in Wilmington will rival any large city and we are the home of several Top Chef, Iron Chef, James Beard and Michelin Star nominees/winners. The shops in the walkable downtown are a must do for anyone who has the “shopping bug”. You can also catch a Broadway show or enjoy a fabulous concert at the many venues in Wilmington. So much to see/do, but it is all in the CODtage binder provided to assist you in mapping out your activities/dining/fun during your stay—the binder is like your own personal concierge!
