Extremely clean property. We were able to walk to town but walking back was a little challenging with the inclines. We were able to spot a bear when sitting on porch walking down road. Would stay again and definitely recommend the property. Host had wonderful communication.

We had a great time at the Smoky Heights Overlook cabin. We were met at check-in by the owner to make sure everything went smooth when we got there while he topped off the hot tub. Nice and cozy place just outside of town. Easy to get in and out of the Gatlinburg area, but in a quiet area away from all the “madness” of the Parkway attractions. Perfect for a family vacation.

The cabin was comfortable and cozy. We felt right at home. I wanted to watch the CFP games and the setting was perfect with the fireplace. My son and future daughter in-law used the hot tub 2-3 times daily. It ran well.

I have to say, your son and future daughter‑in‑law may have set a new record with the hot tub. In their brief stay, I think they used it more times than I have the entire time I’ve owned the place. It’s great to hear they got so much enjoyment out of it. I usually only make it in there to soak after an especially tough hike. I’m glad everything ran well and that you felt right at home. We are a family of 3 with aspirations of retiring to the mountains and managing 3 to 5 properties after 2020.

In 2014, we decided to take over the daily management of the property and Janan took over booking and management. We've had a couple hiccups but overall the experience has been delightful for us. Our hope is that the cabin & your stay in this beautiful city is a lifelong memory.

We are committed to Gatlinburg, having purchased a second cabin in 2015. I told people I was doing a renovation on the 2nd property. Janan and my friends told people we are doing a full rebuild. Looking back on all we ended up doing, I'd say they are right. Check it out at VRBO Listing 658902. In addition to sleeping more people and more mountain views it is in a golf course community and has 2 pools for the kids.

In May 2018 we added a Condo to our offerings. Its now Nov 2019 and we have completed 4 planned phase upgrades. These renovations have been done in stages and include everything from expanding kitchen, to upgrading appliances, electrical, and TVs, to adding sound abatement to the ceilings.

We bought the property in December 2009 after a visit to Gatlinburg. We stayed here while looking at numerous properties over a 5 day period and realized that the best value was indeed the cabin we had been staying in.
