Dragonfly is NOT your typical beach rental house. Designed for the discriminating guest, ,NOT FOR PARTYING but for relaxation, serenity, rejuvenation. and romance.

Located in the award winning and magazine featured Village of Tannin in Orange Beach, our newly constructed architectural cottage strikes the perfect balance of old world charm and modern convenience, with a decidedly French accent reminiscent of Provence.

Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and our own private Lake, she is a rare combination of privacy and central location. The Gulf State Park is outside our door with 13 miles of bike trails, zip lines, Lake Shelby for swimming and kayaking, and the longest gulf fishing pier and golf. The beach is right across the street.

Our 2 bedroom(+ plush built in hall bunk beds), 2 and half bath, home sleeps six and is filled with charming features sure to delight even the weariest of wayfarers. Walk barefoot on the cool tile floors, let the warmth of the board and batten walls envelope you and sink into the plush, Swiss style beds. Watch the panoramic sunrise over the gulf from the upper veranda while lounging on the swinging bed while sipping a latte.

Downstairs, you’ll enjoy a cozy, light filled living room and a flat screen TV with DVD. The dining room comfortably seats six with room for 2 more at the breakfast bar. The gourmet kitchen features imperial granite counters, a hooded double oven, an espresso machine and a French door refrigerator with bottom freezer.

Off the kitchen is an over sized veranda with 2 ceiling fans, a table that seats 8 as well as a bench and Adirondack chairs. You’ll also enjoy the convenience of a powder room on the main floor, discreetly hidden behind a delightful stylized sliding barn door.

Venture upstairs to the two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The first suite has a beautiful iron King bed with a luxurious Swiss style linens. In the bathroom, you’ll find an over sized step in shower with a built in bench and a rainwater shower head. The second suite boasts a delightful canopy Queen bed with luxury linens and the bathroom also has a rainwater shower head.

Both suites have wall mounted flat screen TVs and ceiling fans and open to an over sized veranda with 2 ceiling fans, rocking chairs,chaise lounges and a hanging bed with panoramic views of the gulf, the lake and state park. Also upstairs, you’ll find a washer and dryer as well as a comfortable set of built in bunk beds with memory foam toppers. Sit on the front porch swing and watch the kids at the pool.

You’ll feel a world away at Dragonfly Cottage, but you’ll only be minutes from everything Orange Beach and the gulf coast have to offer. Hike or bicycle through the 6000 acre state park adjacent to the quaint Village of Tannin, or fish in Tannin’s stocked lakes, or zipline or kayak on Lake Shelby. You’re only a short drive from over 100 restaurants and just minutes from grocery shopping.

Tannin has deeded beach access just a short 4 minute stroll away, or there is a public access on the right of the Phoenix Condos which is even closer.. And our neighborhood Olympic sized pool is just steps away from our home.
