Great house in lovely location

Had a peaceful and very enjoyable stay. The house has everything for a comfortable holiday, and the pool and grounds are lovely. The hosts were spot on with their communication and welcome (wine, fruit jam and cake very much enjoyed). Local wildlife, deer, birds of prey etc. all paid a visit, nice to see.

A little bit of paradise

We stayed at Le Scourbet to celebrate a big birthday. We had the best week. The peaceful rural location was perfect and I have to say we did t venture very far as we loved being at the house! Many thanks and we can’t wait to return.

Fabulous property!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Le Scourbet. By far the best property we have stayed in during our numerous visits to France. Really lovely house set in gloriously secluded grounds with an amazing large pool. It had everything we needed to make a perfect holiday. In addition the house remained cool despite the unusually high temperatures that we experienced. Perfectly located too. The hosts were very kind and helpful and we really appreciated the extra touches that they made. We would highly recommend this property.

Jacky communicated with us very well from the outset and she and Francis were on hand to meet us on arrival and show us around the property.Jacky left us wine, beer, fruit and cakes to make us welcome. A lovely setting, quite and peaceful throughout our stay:something we always look for. The house was comfortable and well stocked. The outside areas are lovely and we radiated to the patio table for meals and the various seating areas. The grounds are varied with a beautiful pool and woodlands to wander. Truly, a lovely holiday home and to be recommended. We'd certainly return.

A true paradise on earth

Arriving at this wonderful spot in the middle of the unspoiled countryside and the warm welcome by Jacky and Francis was the start of a magnificent week at Le Scourbet. The preparations for our stay, the comfort as well as the cozy interior so tastefully decorated with many personal touches made us happy. Everything you wish for is available and you really lack nothing at all. Outside the lovely shady terrace with the large dining table, cosy seats everywhere overlooking the well maintained garden, the awesome pool with excellent sun loungers, the fields and the woods, and moreover the silence, it really gave us this "wish to stay forever" feeling. We spent more time outside than inside and enjoyed the several visits of the small deer and even once at sunset we spotted the wild boar family in the upper meadow. Indeed we were sorry to leave Le Scourbet, this true paradise on earth. Dear Jacky and Francis, on behalf of all of us, thank you so much for your immense hospitality, for all delicacies presented to us on arrival, in short for a magnificent and unforgettable week. Wunderbar

Meine Frau und ich haben eine wundervolle Woche in diesem wirklich stilvoll eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Die Gastgeber haben ein sehr großzügiges Gastgeschenk (Wein, Gemüse, Obst) vorbereitet. Pool und der Blick ins Tal und die Stille traumhaft schön.

Dordogne

Super schöne Location in absolut ruhiger Alleinlage. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben den tollen Pool und die ruhige Umgebung sehr genossen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wonderful and relaxing house with great pool

We had a great two week stay at the house, the owners where super friendly (and English speaking, which is helpful for non-perfect French-speakers :-)) and absolutely helpful with any questions or issue that arose. The beds where comfy, kitchen hat everything that you need and lots of plates and glasses and a very nice welcome pack, too. And of course the outside area is a charm, sitting on the patio is really nice, and the pool area just as great. All in all a really relaxing, calm and nice stay, except for some nasty mosquitos and the next bakery needing a 10min drive (which were not really anything we can blame on the house ...) it is a place we can completely recommend (though please don't go, when we want to return next year ;-)). Thanks for a wonderful time.

Wonderful house

We had a wonderful week at Le Scourbet. The house is very well equipped, offers a lot of comfort and has a unique and classy stlye. It offers plenty of space and it is perfectly located in the midst of unspoilt nature. The terrace is perfect for all meals with a nice view into the garden and the pool. In the surrounding area you find excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and canoeing. By car you can explore the many lovely towns, castles, caves which the area has to offer. All in all, a perfect place to relax. The handover of the keys and the introduction of all the relevant things concerning the house and the surroundings by Jacky and Fancis worked out great. Although we didn't have any questions, Jacky's offer to call her anytime gives you a very comforting feeling. We would love to come back the next years and highly recommend staying there for a holiday! The big bavarian family Martina, Jürgen, Matthias, Philipp & Melly, Inge&Helmut and Balu - our dog

Maison magnifique, avec un beau et immense terrain. Grande piscine privée très propre. Tout est à disposition dans la maison, linge de lit, serviettes de bain et de toilette, et même les petits consommables type pastilles lave-vaisselle, basiques pour cuisiner, etc… on se sens comme chez soi.La maison est soigneusement décorée, il y règne une ambiance chaleureuse et très typique.Petit bémol sur la grande pièce de vie qui est assez sombre mais il y a de nombreux éclairage qui permettent de compenser le manque de luminosité. Enfin les matelas des lits individuels des deux chambres du rdc mériteraient d’être remplacés.Hormis ces deux détails tout est parfait! Jacky et Francis sont des hôtes chaleureux et très professionnels. Je recommande vivement leur location et nous y reviendrons certainement.

Un petit coin de paradis

La maison est décorée avec goût, tout confort et très bien équipée. Le jardin est très grand, plein de petits coins aux différentes ambiances, la piscine grande et profonde pour plonger. Toute une série de jeux de plein air sont disponibles, et aussi barbecue et plancha. Pas de voisins, un petit chemin de pays pour vous emmener au village d’à côté pour une promenade digestive… Bref, c’était parfait, merci de votre généreux accueil Jacky et Francis!! Un petit coin de paradis

Une semaine passée dans ce lieu enchanteur. A l’écart des routes et du bruit avec une vue magnifique sur les collines avoisinantes. Une maison ravissante décorée avec goût. Une ambiance cosy à l’anglaise. Rien ne manque en terme d’équipement tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. La localisation est parfaite pour rayonner sans le Périgord noir sans faire trop de kilomètres (Sarlat, les villages perchés des bords de la dordogne, la ballade en gabare, et même les grottes de Lascaux ne sont qu’à 45 mn) . De belles découvertes à proximité : Belvès, Limeuil et Monpazier. Bref une semaine parfaite

Super sejour

Très agréable séjour dans cette magnifique villa ou tout y est. Equipement (cuisine, chambre, etc) et tout pour les loisirs ( piscine, ping pong babmigton). le cadre est magnifique, calme sans aucun vis a vis. Tout est fait pour le repos mais avec beaucoup de visites à peu de kms. Les propriétaires charmants enfin bref le rêve. Nous reviendrons surement. Thierry et Sarah

This is complete tranquility in the beautiful countryside. The garden, pool and surroundings are just stunning and immaculate. Belle propriété au calme à la campagne, bien décorée et très bien équipée.

Jacky et Francis sont des hôtes charmants, présents à l’accueil , disponibles et réactifs pour répondre à toutes les questions . La maison est très agréable et cosi , avec sa cuisine bien équipée, beaucoup de vaisselle et de matériel pour cuisiner, le salon et séjour assez grand pour partager de bons moments à 8 sans se sentir à l’étroit, , la terrasse ombragée ou l’on peut prendre ses repas à 8 sans problèmes, et beaucoup d’espace autour de la piscine pour jouer, badminton, Ping Ping , boules …tout est le matériel est prévu, jeux de société …. Les chambres agréables et au calme , bien équipées en couettes si besoin. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison , comme si c’était notre maison de famille !! Merci à vous deux , pour nous avoir reçu comme des amis !
