When we arrived the room was not clean the floor & beds had sand all over them. The sliding glass door was filthy. The bathroom in the bedroom had mold on the walls as well as the shower curtain & when you turn the shower on you better have a towel down because the shower head shoots it out and it floods the floor. Our AC also went out at 9 at night I sent a txt message to the number they gave us with no response the next morning I had to send another txt & they got someone out to fix it after we had a miserable night. The entire hotel also had construction going on which blocked us in our room a few times where we had to wait for them to finish before we could come out. It was very quiet no partying or playing which was nice with 3 children at bedtime. It is a drive from town so if you need anything I would advise grabbing it before heading to the hotel.

The Dunes Condos

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. My time there was just as I planned. For the most part the condo was clean and comfortable. The exception being the kitchen. I had to wash most of the dishes I wanted to use as they were caked with dried food-egg, spaghetti, cheese etc. yes, it was obvious what was stuck to the dishes Some were just greasy. Most dishes, pans, utensils were crammed or thrown into cabinets, no order. I guess I’m spoiled, but I found few or none of the extra amenities to get you started-paper towels, a scrubby to wash dishes with, etc. Did have trouble with the wi-fi— was given wrong PW 3 times before getting the new one. The Sunset Staff was courteous. A maintenance man did come to check the wi-fi and fixed the dish washer at my request while there. He was very helpful. Lots of folks use these condos every year and I know not everyone takes care of them, but maybe someone needs to check the condition of objects , esp kitchen supplies often.

Hi Janice, we apologize for the state of the dishes. We ask our guests to leave the dishes clean or at least start the dishwasher. During the quick turnarounds in the peak summer rental season, I wish the housekeepers had time to check all the dishes to make sure the previous guest left them the way we request. I hate you had issues with the wi-fi too. We have passwords in our system, but occasionally a guest resets the wi-fi thinking they can "fix" an issue which causes the password to the reset to the default password, and the office staff doesn't know. We hope you'll give us another try.

Our stay at the Dunes in Ft. Morgan

Great vaca for a great price!

It is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores which we like but if you plan on going to town a lot then I would look some place else. I loved having a nice kitchen and was able to quickly make meals for everyone with out difficulty. We brought all of our food from home but if you do not I would stop at the Wal-Mart in Gulf Shores before starting your vaca that way you can enjoy all your time on the beach. It was very family friendly and our kids made friends with other children while there. I gave 4/5 stars for cleanliness because when wiping water off the floor on the first day my rag was dirty which grossed me out a little but besides not mopping I did not have any concerns. It was a very nice spot for our family for an amazing price. If you like to be off the beaten path a little bit this is your place.

Memorial Day stay 2014

The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I liked the condo very much and would not hesitate to recommend the property to someone, as long as they did not mind not having internet access. I would be very clear, though, that it is almost impossible to find a place to text/email/facebook, etc. without either going to the main office or driving down the road a ways. Things were mostly clean -- a few hairs on the floor, etc, I presume from whomever cleaned. Other than that, I was very happy with the condition and the facilities.

Restful Getaway

Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was comfortable. Would rather be closer to the beach.
