Whether you’re coming to ski, bike, or simply soak-in the peacefulness of the mountains, our home was designed with you in mind. No matter your age or interests, River Valley Lodge offers something for everyone to enjoy.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Our home, River Valley Lodge, has 3 bedrooms, contains 6 beds, and sleeps a total of 8 guests.

Sleeping spaces include:

1) King Master Suite
-1 king bed
-Accommodates 2 people

2) Guest Bedroom
-1 queen bed
-Accommodates 2 people

3) The Bunk Room
-2 bunk beds (Each bunk has 2 twin beds)
-Accommodates 4 people

BASEMENT

Our basement contains two distinct spaces - a ski / workout room and a game room.

1) Ski Space

For our skiers, we have a 24-port Geardryer to dry and warm your gloves, boots, and whatever else may have gotten wet on the slopes. We also have a ski / snowboard rack, boot trays, and coat hooks for your gear.

2) Workout Space

We hate giving up our workout routine while traveling, and figured you might as well. Don't fret! Our "mini-gym" is at your disposal. Our mini-gym contains a Peloton Plus Bike with non-clip pedals (so that every aspiring cyclist can enjoy a workout using regular tennis shoes). The Peloton screen swivels so you can take advantage of the many non-bike classes that Peloton offers. We have also have free weights (3 to 25 lbs), resistance bands, yoga mat and blocks, a Pilates ring, foam / various muscle rollers, and more!

3) Game Room

Our pride and joy is the mountain-themed kids' climbing wall. The climbing wall is intended for children only, and is recommended for ages 3 and up. Directions on how to use the climbing wall are outlined on the wall beside it.

Bonus - The mat below the climbing wall doubles as soft furniture that your kids can use to build their own epic fort, or whatever else they may dream up!

In addition to the climbing wall, we also have a Lego wall, Nintendo Switch, LED dart board, karaoke machine, Tonie box, foosball table, camping play set, Tegu blocks, baby toys, and more!

FIRST FLOOR

1) Entryway closets

There are two closets in the entryway.

a) One closet contains room for coats and shoes, as well as water and food bowls for your furry family friends; and
b) The other closet is equipped with an in-house washer and dryer. Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and laundry baskets are available for use.

2) Living Room / Dining Space / Kitchen

The first floor offers an airy, open-concept design that lets the living room, dining space, and kitchen blend seamlessly together.

a) Living Room - The living room furniture consists of a comfy sectional, wood & leather accent chairs, and fabric cubes. The room is equipped with a smart TV (Must use personal log-ins to access YouTube TV, Amazon, Netflix, etc.) so you don't have to miss your favorite shows while away from home. For those chilly Maine nights, a wood stove is available for use.

b) Dining Space - Our dining space consists of a table, 2 chairs, and 2 benches. There's enough space to accommodate everyone in your party.

c) Kitchen - Our kitchen contains the essentials, and much more, to get you through your stay. Looking to air fry veggies? Check! Hoping to whip-up some waffles before hitting the slopes? Check, check! This space also contains an island with 3 bar stools for additional seating.

Bonus - Our kitchen contains a newly installed Waterdrop Reverse Osmosis System. While our water has been tested and confirmed safe for consumption, we went ahead and upgraded it for an ever better experience. Simply twist the button on the Intelligent Faucet to dispense your desired amount.

3) Bedrooms

The bunk room and guest bedroom are located on the first floor.

4) Full Guest Bathroom

A full bathroom is located across from the bunk room and adjacent to the guest bedroom. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash so don't worry about bringing the necessities!

SECOND FLOOR

1) Book, Puzzles, and Games Nook

One of our coziest areas at River Valley Lodge is this special little nook. Feel free to bring your own book, or borrow one of ours! We have books for all ages and interests. Hidden behind cabinet doors in this nook are many (and I mean many!) board games, card games, and puzzles.

2) King Master Bedroom

We figured you might like some space to spread out. Equipped with a king-sized bed, two bedside tables, a dresser, and bench to get ready, our king master bedroom should do the trick!

Should you need to work remotely, the bedroom also contains a desk, chair, and lamp. And if you happen to sneak away for a couple of runs during your lunch break, we won't tell anyone!

3) Walk-in Closet

Ever felt like you don't have enough room to put your clothes when traveling? Say no more - Our master walk-in closet offers plenty of room to hang all of your belongings.

4) Ensuite Full Master Bathroom

The second full bathroom in our home is right off the master king bedroom. This room is also stocked with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY AMENITIES

With two youngsters of our own, we understand that traveling feels like loading-up your whole house and then some. Worry no more. We've included lots of items to keep those little ones happy.

Baby / toddler / child amenities include a Graco Pack 'n Play, stroller, Ingenuity feeding and floor seat with self-storing tray, baby tub, Baby Bjorne bouncer, and more! These items are located in the master walk-in closet.

ANIMALS

While we love all animals, we only allow dogs in our home. We provide a dog bed and food & water bowls for your furry family friends. To keep the house welcoming for owners of dogs and those without, dogs are not permitted on the furniture or in the game room (Claws can damage the mat in the game room). When you are not at the home, dogs must be kept on the first floor to prevent damage to the furniture while you are away. Dog gates are available for use. Guests must also pick-up after their dogs when they use the restroom in the yard.

Our home is also equipped with a perimeter-wide Invisible Fence system. If you have an Invisible Fence System / collar, please let us know so we can try to sync your collars with our system.

OUTDOORS AMENITIES

Enjoy our Jacuzzi hot tub with lounger, XL Big Green Egg smoker, and Weber grill! In the warmer months, we also have outdoor seating and a dining space available.

We've already discussed amenities for our skiers, but we would be amiss if we didn't provide something for our mountain bikers! Right outside the basement door you'll find a mountain bike rack to accommodate your gear.

SAFETY

Your safety is our #1 priority. That being said, the following items have been installed / are available in our home:

1) Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors - Our home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
2) Fire Extinguishers - We have 3 fire extinguishers on the property:
a) Basement (In garage);
b) First floor (Under the kitchen sink); and
c) Second floor (In master bedroom closet).
3) LifeVac - A LifeVac (choking rescue device) is located under the kitchen sink.
4) First Aid Kit - A first aid kit is located in the entryway closet.
5) Security Cameras - For added safety, there are security cameras on the property. These cameras are located on the exterior of our home (by both entry doors). There are no security cameras or recording devices on the interior.
6) Security System - Our home is equipped with the Simplisafe security system, which you are more than welcome to arm while you are using our home.

PARKING

4 vehicles can fit in our driveway. While issues in the winter are not common, we recommend driving 4-wheel drive vehicles to our home when there is a chance of snow as the road is gravel and you have to ascend a slight hill.

In the event of snow, we have a snow removal service that will come to the property if the cumulative threshold is met. In some instances, we may need to reach out to you regarding the snow removal process.

GENERATOR

Worried about the power going out during those frigid winter months? We were. That's why we installed a Generac generator that will power the entire home in the event of a power outage.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the entire house, yard and driveway except for the maintenance room and owner storage. Please only access the garage to dispose of trash in the trash bins.

MAINTENANCE

During your stay, there may be individuals that come onto the property to remove trash, mow the lawn, clean/treat the hot tub, etc. We appreciate your patience as these individuals work hard to keep our home neat and tidy for all guests.
