Villas el Parque 18A: Ocean-View Studio Apartment, Central, Pool, AC & WiFi

Villas el Parque is Manuel Antonio’s original condominium project, built at the heart of the town. Nearby are some of the best restaurants, nightlife and shopping, as well as a great spa, bank, gym, butterfly garden and crocodile farm. Right in front of the condominiums there’s also a bus stop, with public busses passing by for the beach (national park) and Quepos every 15 minutes during the day. For those who want to get some steps in—a 20-minute hike takes you around the back way to the less-visited part of the main public beach, Playa Espadilla. There’s also a pool and (unheated) jacuzzi for use for our guests.

#18A is a 1,000 ft2 one-bedroom apartment with everything you need to feel at home. Furthermore, it has one of the best views in Villas el Parque, including Cathedral Point in the national park. The entry is via a spacious, covered patio area with a table and chairs, and a hammock—the perfect place to relax and watch the wildlife after a day’s activities. The patio opens up to the indoor living area and fully equipped kitchen, including high ceilings and plenty of light. From there a couple of steps take you up to the bedroom, including two double beds, a closet, private bathroom, flatscreen smart TV and a stacked washer and dryer unit. There is also AC and wifi throughout the apartment, parking, and a night security guard.

The area is also known for frequent visits from the local wildlife—all three types of monkeys, sloths, toucans, scarlet macaws, iguanas and other animals are common sights. (Don’t leave your bananas out!).
