La Ola Perfecta - The Perfect Wave

This house is truly breathtaking. The artistry and detail put into this beautiful property is second to none. The beach is just a few hundred metres from the property; walk out your front door and within a few minutes you are at one of the most beautiful beaches in Guanacaste. It is located inside the community of Las Golondrinas in Hacienda Pinilla, one of the few beachfront communities in this prestigious location. The backyard is an oasis with pool, putting range, lounge, grill and eating area.
It is perfect for listening to the sounds of the ocean waves if you don't feel like walking down to the beach for sunset after a long day of 'vacationing'.
Howler monkeys are regular visitors and loved by all our guests- make sure you look up every now and then when outside- they might just 'hang' there for their midday siesta or picking seeds and nuts. (You should actually be able to hear the alpha's unmistakably roar whenever he feels there is too much commotion!)

The space

This is a 4 bedroom home, with a gym and private pool with jets for a gentle massage.
There are two large Master suites, one with a private terrace downstairs, the other upstairs, with a beautiful, private wrap-around balcony. A slightly smaller suite is situated downstairs with a large sliding door to the outdoor pool area. These suites offer private indoor and outdoor showers/bathtub. Having a shower or bath under the stars is a wonderful experience and to say it quoting one of our guests: 'Taking a shower will never be the same!'
The fourth room-ideal especially, but of course not only, for kids- has a bunk bed with a queen sized bed on the bottom and a twin on top. There is also an additional full sized bed in the room.
Every room has a TV, a ceiling fan, window screens (regular for daytime and blackout for night time for a good night's sleep- days start early here!) and comfortable lounge chairs or a sofa and also large walk-in closets with lots of storing space.
From the living room, which has a large TV with soundbar, comfortable reclining chairs and a beautiful fireplace, through 6 completely retractable sliding doors (they slide into the side walls if you desire to open up the space) you'll enter
The outdoor area, which has a large eating and lounge area, with the outdoor kitchen including a mini fridge, wine cooler, ice maker, outside sink, grill and outdoor glasses and cups. There are lounge chairs throughout the deck and yard (and a small 'beach')for maximum relaxation. There is a putting green (designed and installed by a professional golfer) to practice, or just to have fun.
You'll find an outdoor shower and toilet for washing off sand after the beach or using the restroom when you are enjoying the pool.

Guest access

The space is yours to use , though a small office is kept locked for the owners.
There are also 2 cabinets in the laundry room and Pantry kept locked, as well as in both main floor bedrooms.
Please don't try to open these- be assured you'll find there is more than enough space in the closets.

Other things to note

Hacienda Pinilla is large, a over 4000 acre property. We recommend you stop for groceries before you arrive, especially if you have had a long trip and don't want to drive again right away. There is a small grocery store on the premises within Hacienda Pinilla for the basic needs- it is about a 5-10 min drive.

Fuego Blue and Il Rustico both deliver pizza if you want to order in, their contact is in the welcome booklet.

Any guests will need permission to enter Hacienda Pinilla sent to the front security gate, so please make sure to get a hold of your host to arrange this 1-2 days before arrival.

There is a clinic on Hacienda Pinilla premises, for emergencies- you'll find the exact information in the welcome booklet.

The Beach Club is a great day option, and they serve food and also have a bar. Additionally, there is a Spa, Gym, beautiful pool (adult and kids areas) and playgrounds. The Club charges $5.00 per person for our Rental Guests to enter the Club, which regrettably is no longer consumable. This is a change from the previous years.
On the premises of Hacienda Pinilla you'll find beautiful surf beaches- with surf school at the Beach Club- stables for horseback riding, Tennis and Pickleball Courts, MTB trails, and of course nestled within our beautiful Costa Rican nature our par 72 Golf Course.
