Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Kommunikation, Lage und Genauigkeit des Onlineauftritts
We were fortunate to find these two cottages on Lake Winnipesaukee on short notice and had a wonderful overall vacation. The property matched the VRBO description, and Carla was friendly, responsive, and a pleasure to work with.The cottages and lake were perfect for our family. Our three grandchildren especially loved the water, and we made memories that will last a lifetime.Our only concern was the guest policy. The VRBO listing states that friends and family are welcome, with up to 40 people permitted. On one afternoon, 13 family members visited from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. for time at the lake and dinner. The next day, my nephew, his fiancée, and their two children stopped by, and within minutes the owner told us this was not acceptable.This was confusing, as at check-in we were told additional guests could park along the wall or in the back, which led us to believe daytime visitors were allowed. This was not intended to be a daily occurrence, as we planned to spend most of the week visiting attractions with our extended family.After that interaction, we felt as though we were being watched, which made us uncomfortable. Clearer wording in the VRBO listing regarding daytime visitors would have helped avoid this misunderstanding. Aside from that, the property and location were excellent.
