2 night stay

We booked last minute, so we did not have a lot of choice. The location of this house was great- a quick easy walk to the beach! We loved walking on the beach, and Kiawah island is natural and beautiful! This home desperately needs to remove rugs, curtains, and sofa:etc.- these seemed to be dirty and stained, causing the house to smell! If they redid flooring, and replaced the fabric furniture, this'd would make this a much more desirable rental! Also, fig rental company did not provide coffee and there is no luring - bring your own. Suffered without coffee!!

Great space and location is wonderful

Overall the house is wonderful. Lots of great space, we only used the master bedroom, but that bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had good ammenities. We had some minor issues during our month long stay, but the property manager and home owner were very responsive and communicative and fixed all the issues above and beyond. Definitely a great place to stay.

Perfect getaway

This is the perfect place for a small party. My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful vacation. The house has a beautiful screened in porch, an open living room and all the amenities needed for a perfect getaway. Very short walk to the beach and convenient to everything we needed. Highly recommend it

No Air conditioning for half our vacation

There was no air conditioning for half our vacation. Portable window units were installed by the property manager for 2 out of 3 bedrooms. The main living area was smoking hot. The HVAC return filter looked like it hadn't been changed in a year. It was filthy. We were told there would be follow up and a partial refund due to spoiling our vacation and got ghosted by the property manager of vacasa and VRBO once we left the property. No follow up as promised or partial refund for intolerable conditions as promised. BUYER BEWARE. I would not rent from them again.

Quick visit to Kiawha

Loved the location, particularly the proximity to the amazing beach. Property managers super nice and communicated well. Very Disappointed in the condition of the furniture, carpets, & bedding. All need to be updated asap. Stay not nearly as relaxing as we hoped after a long journey there. During our two day stay we unfortunately experienced a few untimely unexpected interruptions, told building inspectors coming at 10 am (manager able to divert), road paving at 7am and cleaners showing up well before checkout time.

A wonderful family Thanksgiving

105 Surfscoter was perfect for our family Thanksgiving. We liked that it was close to the beach and spacious enough for the 6 of us. Would love to go back in the spring to enjoy the large deck. Only drawback is Kiawah’s 2 car limit which makes it inconvenient when family are coming from Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina. The house, though, was great and the property manager stayed in touch in case we needed anything. Will certainly return.

Near Beach

The house is really close to the beach which is terrific but it’s very dark. Even on the sunniest days, you have to keep the lamps on in the living area. The house looked clean on the surface but turned out to be quite dirty: hand prints and smudges on the glass doors, at least 2 pans put away with crusted food on them, the filter of the coffee maker not emptied and so filled with moldy coffee grounds, the exhaust fan was so dirty it dripped grease down onto the stove. The management company was great about responding to issues (sending someone to clean the fan, fix the leaking refrigerator, seal up the place in the eaves where a squirrel was trying to get in...) but after a while, we got tired of calling

Low Key Cozy / Great Location

House was perfect for our visit. Open living area felt large and airy, made great use of the screened in porch (you can hear the waves), 2 minute walk to the beach, 15 bike to the village - can’t wait to rent again!

Pet friendly home steps from beach. Alligator in back yard-good to know up front! Carpeting always questionable. Homey feel. Well stocked kitchen. Neighbors decided to to huge lawn renovations, so 4+ days of noisy equipment, but looks nice now😳. I would come here again.

Beautiful but a bit worn

Perfect location, 2 minutes from beach, lovely pond right out back, loved watching the baby gator each morning. Very well appointed kitchen. But the appliances are overly worn. Especially the dishwasher, which is falling apart. Will return. But suggest that the owner/management company promptly address this issue.

Great location

Location was great. Beach is a 2 minute walk. Neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. House was spacious. Bathrooms and some of the appliances were a bit dated. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Front door doesn’t stay closed if you don’t use the dead bolt. We had an issue with the couch (sleeper sofa broken when we arrived) but the rental company was quick to respond. Hopefully it is fixed or replaced before the next guests arrive.

Charming and Comfortable

Kiawah Island is a perfect vacation spot. It is quiet, beautiful and serene. It is super easy to breathe deep and set aside stress and worries. This house is located within a short walk of the magnificent beach. The house is well appointed and quite comfortable. Nobody in our group was ready to depart. We hope we can return.

Great house with great location

This house is perfect for families. Its location to the beach makes it the best. Less than two blocks from an amazing beach. Well appointed and easy to just enjoy your time. Only negative is that would have been nice to know to bring beach towels as none here. That is not that big a deal. You can rent everything you need for the beach. We will be back.

Such a great cottage! It’s very clean with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. And just steps from the beach make it the ideal location for a beautiful stay on Kiawah.

Great Beach Location but Needs Improvement to Be Vacation Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property has a great proximity to the beach but the sloppy and shoddy upkeep would prevent me from bringing my family back here again. The master bedroom mattress was truly atrocious (we left a day early rather than sleep on it again) the carpeting (why even have it?) was stained and felt grimy, the sliding glass doors did not lock correctly, tiles were cracked--some places of repair looked like they were done blindfolded, walls/ceilings had stains and last but not least, there was not even one smoke detector in the unit. Normal 'amenities' such as a laundry basket were missing and the kitchen was a cumbersome hodgepodge of updates and appliances. Basic routines in the unit (like cooking, laundry and sleeping!) were a hassle so it did not feel like one was on vacation. For the cost we paid for the rental, it needs to be finished off properly and basic lifestyle needs should be met. I have been coming to Kiawah for over 20 years and have never left a night early as we love the island and the beach. The property management company, Beachwalker Rentals, was easy to work with--they checked that our unit had been cleaned prior to arrival (vacuumed, bathrooms were clean, unit was tidy) and we had plenty of towels.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good house but certainly older. The main room, bedrooms, and bathrooms were clean and the amenities were good. The location is awesome! 2 minutes to the beach! Kitchen was less than impressive- we found glasses, some dishes and silverware to be dirty. The wine glasses looked like they had been used and then put away with greasy hands... The grilling utensils need an update- there were no Grill tongs! It was fine for booking so late but I don't think we would stay there again.
