Herzl’s Hideaway-Spa, Ski, Relax & Rewind!

Herzl’s Hideaway is nestled in upper Moonridge offering panoramic views of Bear Mountain and Big Bear Lake. This warm, welcoming cabin is cozy but spacious and features NEW DECKS & HOT TUB! Everything you need to make your vacation special and memorable. Close proximity to the ski resorts, Alpine Zoo, coffee and donut houses, shopping, dining, downtown Big Bear, the Village, the lake and hiking trails, you’re never more than a few minutes and a short car ride to where you want to be!

The space:
You’ll be delighted by the whimsical bear cubs that welcome you upon entry and “hang out” with you in the living room. Every space is thoughtfully appointed with amenities far beyond what you’d expect! Super comfy beds, Smart TVs in every room, central heat in winter, ceiling fans to keep spaces cool in the summer months, two decks to relax and take in the amazing views are just the start!

Your health and welfare is utmost to us! There is an Air & Surface Pro in the cabin that works continually to clean and sanitize the air and surfaces of germs and viruses. Your vacation can be worry-free at Herzl’s Hideaway! (Details are in the House Manual).

It goes without saying that there is very reliable WiFi to meet the needs of today’s average family or traveling group. We know you’re working from home and the kids are distance-learning, so you can trust that you won’t skip a beat even while you spend some time away. Wireless chargers are available on every bedside table for compatible devices, DirecTV, Echo Dot, games, books, and more in the living room will make it easy to stay in, too!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner or cooking for the holidays, you’ll have everything you need to feed the troops in the beautiful “Cook’s Kitchen.” We’ve got you covered with lots of tools, utensils, small appliances, and sleek, modern appliances. Plenty of serving ware, dishes and glassware to set the table, too!

The newly installed DECKS & HOT TUB make this cabin the ultimate relaxation station winter, spring, summer, and fall!

Other things to note:
1. Fires and Firewood - *(If Applicable)
a) Firewood for the indoor fireplaces is not provided. Please be prepared to purchase wood upon arrival in any of the markets and grocery stores in town.
B) No campfires, fire pits or open charcoal fires are allowed outside.

2. Barbeque - propane is provided by the management company

3. Hot Tub - *(If Applicable)
a) No children under the age of 14 are permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.

4. Smoking
a) Cabin is non-smoking inside
b) Smoking is permitted on property outside, however Guest(s) must properly dispose of butts or any other smoking materials. Smoking is prohibited in the National Forest, which is located beyond the steps in the backyard.

5. Pets
a) There is a 2 dog limit unless explicitly stated otherwise by management in advance to your trip.
b) Housebroken K9 guests are welcome at the cabin! We only ask that you bring a kennel for your fur baby in case you need to leave them unattended for any period of time throughout your stay. Pets are asked to keep off the beds and furniture. Please be sure to clean up after your pet. TAKE YOUR PETS WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE THE CABIN. Leaving them behind could result in a fine for incessant barking.
c) There is a $25 pet fee that goes directly to housekeeping to accommodate for extra cleanup and sanitization after an animal stays at the cabin.

6. In order to lessen the incidents of noise violations, this cabin is equipped with interior and exterior noise sensors. There is one sensor inside the cabin and one outside. Please DO NOT REMOVE or RELOCATE these sensors as they are programmed to alert us if the noise level is above the allowed decibel level per county and city ordinance. It is NOT a recording device so you can rest assured we are not monitoring our guests' conversations. Your comfort and privacy are of utmost importance to us and we value and protect your privacy.

7. Identification
All guests are required to submit a photo ID upon check in. The ID must match the name of the reserving party. If your name differs from that of your VRBO account please let us know ahead of time to we have time to address the concern. Refunds are not issued due to lack of appropriate identifying credentials. Acceptable forms of ID are government issued picture ID's, Drivers Licenses, Passports, State ID's, International picture ID's, and other picture ID's upon prior approval. This is a mandated by the City of Big Bear and unfortunately we are not able to make exceptions.
