great spot nestled in between trees and the mountain. There is plenty of room to bring a family and I love that it's pet friendly and has a fenced yard. Will be coming back often for little retreats.

Beautiful house with comfortable beds and couches. Nice outdoor spaces and the family room is far enough from the bedrooms that you didn’t disturb anyone sleeping in. Host was responsive and instructions were clear. Would stay here again if we return to this area.

We enjoyed our stay at Falling Leaves. The cabin was clean and spacious. Everything was easy to access and the host was quick to answer our questions. The area it is located is quiet which is what we wanted. We would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable home for our weekend get away. The outside could use a little attention - seating was very limited and in desperate need of repair/replacement. But otherwise the house was great. Would go back.

Relaxing Stay

Very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Checking in and out was a breeze. The rooms are nicely sized and it met all our needs for a peaceful trip up to the mountains.

Great Family Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Falling Leaves. The house was very comfortable for my husband & I and our son and his wife and 5 children. It is close the ski areas and the perfect weekend getaway.

Great for a family gathering

Really nice property with much to do in the area. Loved that the backyard was fully fenced. Loved too that there was a bonus family room off the kitchen where the kids could play their online video games. Only request from our group is for new pillows as the current ones were a bit flat :)

Cute house with nice views.

We had a pleasant stay here. The house is cute and clean with lovely views out of most of the windows. We lucked out and got to see it snow. There are quite a few stairs outside - to get into the house so if stairs are an issue (especially if snowy/icy), this would not be an ideal place to stay. There was a shovel at the house so we were able to clear the stairs & safely got in/out the day it snowed. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway!

We rented the Falling Leaves home for our son's birthday weekend and it was a great home for the weekend. Excellent location and amenities aside from some minor things that needed to be updated, like the couch in the den has seen better days, and the bed in the master room was pretty uncomfortable. Regarding cleanliness, it was clean, however, we had to call to report dog hairs on all the beds and blankets as well the carpet could have used a deep vacuum if pets were allowed. Management does a great job of communicating and responding. I will stay there again.

Easter in the mountains

I have booked with Destination Big Bear in the past and I have nothing but great things to say! Where do I start? The check in process was so easy and smooth, the check out process was just as simple. They allowed us to check in early (without even requesting) and allowed us to check out late free of charge! The house itself was perfect!! Pictures do not do it justice. The backyard was amazing and it had the perfect sledding hills right there behind the house. There is plenty of space for my family, kitchen had all the cooking tools we needed…it was just perfect! Thank you Destination Big Bear for another great stay!

Lovey Home, A Few Inconveniences

Pros: This is a lovely home on a gorgeous property. Very close to ski slopes. Nice walk behind the house with places to sled. I brought my kids, their partners and my grandson for a lovely stay. Cons: There is no trash pick up. You have to put all your trash bags into your car (eww) and drive them into town to throw away at the trash disposal location. They will charge 25 bucks per bag of trash you leave behind! Additionally, the steps leading down to the front door were dangerously icy. When I let the management company know, they said I had to shovel the snow and ice myself. I did that since I didn't want any of my family falling down the stairs. Note- even though you get the key at the location with a code, they will not give you the code until you drive to the property management location 10 minutes away and wait in line (for me the line was 25 minutes).

We had a wonderful week. The area is so quiet and peaceful. The three decks surrounded by pine trees were very private. The home had all the amenities we needed and was very welcoming and comfortable. We will be back!

There were a few broken chairs outside just laying around the backyard, there were left over dog poop bags in the backyard and there was a torn shade. The darts for the dart board were all broken and there was no foosball for the foosball table. I feel like the management company could have done a better job picking up around the property and making sure everything was working. Otherwise it was a great stay, we would definitely stay there again.
