We are so sad that our time in the desert has come to an end for this year.
We want to tell you how much we enjoyed your home, the Casa Dorado property and the whole Coachella Valley.
Your home is amazing. It is spacious and very well appointed. When our families were here, there was plenty of room for six people. When the two of us were here, it was very cozy and romantic.
We use the pool and hot tub every day. It is so conveniently located. Only a few steps from our door; we started to call it our private pool and spa, as very few other people ever use these facilities.
The greenspace in Casa Dorado is warm and welcoming and the beautiful landscaping is tended every day by the maintenance staff. The large lawn areas lend to the quiet, peaceful serenity of the complex.
We walked, ran and cycled every day in and around Indian Wells. The nearby residential streets are very quiet, and the architecture of the homes is beautiful. There are bike lanes on the busier streets. Cycling is a wonderful way to explore the various areas and terrains of the Coachella Valley.
We’ve taken day trips to the Joshua Tree National Park, Painted Canyon and the Salton Sea. We’ve hiked the trails in the hills around Palm Desert and La Quinta. We enjoyed the hiking and the beautiful, scenic views in both areas.
We’ve discovered some amazing restaurants and pubs:
- Wildest Greens – wonderful organic food, caters to the vegetarians in the family
- The Real Italian Deli – fantastic sandwiches. We recommend the Caprese!
- Evzin – delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Great for both carnivores and vegetarians
- Blaze Pizza – quick, cheap, thin crust pizza at it’s best
- La Quinta Brewing, Old Towne Taproom, in La Quinta – 20 beers on tap. Go at happy hour
- Stuft Pizza in La Quinta – fantastic happy hour – get there early, sit on the patio
We are already looking forward to returning next year!
