We stayed here for a family vacation. The house is spacious and well stocked. Some of the young adults enjoyed climbing around the waterfalls. We took a day trip to Black Water Falls state park. It was worth the trip. We went into Moorefield a couple of times. We highly recommend Genaro’s for their pizza (their Brooklyn pizza was fantastic) and Sweets and Treats for their ice cream. Would stay here again!

Complete Oasis in the Woods

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, spacious cabin! It was absolutely perfect for our large family—plenty of room to spread out, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The cabin was immaculately clean, exceptionally well-stocked, and had everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to cozy extras.The views were breathtaking and made our mornings and evenings especially peaceful. Check-in was seamless, and the communication with the owners was outstanding—timely, clear, and helpful throughout our stay.This has truly been our best VRBO experience yet. We felt so welcome and comfortable the entire time. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Mom’s 80th Birthday Bash

The house is AMAZING!! There were 9 of us and we had plenty of space. The kitchen is one of the best stocked I’ve ever seen. We all love to cook, so this was a plus. The view is gorgeous. Rick and Corrine were great. Easy to communicate with and very thoughtful. They left us a gift basket and bottle of champagne to celebrate with. We would definitely stay again.

Easter Getaway

Our stay was amazing. To start, the communication with Rick was outstanding. He answered all of our questions before arrival and while we were there. All of the amenities they thought about made it so easy. From a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and beach towels. The views from the property were so beautiful. Great Thanksgiving getaway

Our family had a great time at Cliffside Falls over Thanksgiving. The house was terrific…roomy and clean, with every amenity, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of games and activities for all. The hikes to the falls were amazing and a spectacular sight we will long remember. Rick was also a very welcoming host, and kept us informed all along the way. We would highly recommend and love to return!

No stone unturned!!

Cliffside Falls... is exactly that! It is a magnificant home built on a cliff with a beautiful water fall and streams running continualy to lull you to sleep at night and relax you during the day, We had a wonderful time- all 15 of us! Everything we needed was provided in the house and outside. There was no stone unturned. Rick and Corrine have thought of your every need when preparing this home for guests. They were very responsive before and during our stay. Never have we stayed in a VRBO home that was so well stocked with dishes and cookware... even down to birhthday candles!! And then as we sat on either one of the porches and took in the view of the mountains--well... it could only have been better if it was fall and they were all different colors. Truly fabulous views and sounds and birds flying over head! The humming birds were also in a plenty! We would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful picturesque place to anyone. It even has a private apt that you can stay in too, if needed! We golfed, took a scenic train ride to see eagles, kayaked, played games, walked the trails around the house and others and a couple of us even climbed the face of Seneca Rocks! Oh... a trip to Lost River State Park was also a treat! It was a perfect vacation and thank you again to our most gracious hosts!!

Fantastic Family Trip

Cliffside Falls was definitely a perfect vacation home for our family get-together - we were celebrating our Mom's 90th birthday!! The home was well-suited for all of the various family groupings; lots of space to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could even think of needing. With the additional kitchens it was even more convenient to fix food for 13 people. We appreciated all the various amenities (hot tub, corn hole, games, puzzles, pool table, etc.).The hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable - left a beautiful gift basket filled with all sorts of goodies; even left a gift for our Mom! It was nice having a supply of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, coffee, etc. We've been doing this yearly for the past 10 years, going to different vacation homes each time and Cliffside Falls is by far, the best one yet!! (And the falls were beautiful!!)

Wow!!

This place is amazing! The owners are right on top of everything, down to the last detail. They have all amenities covered in the kitchen for any cooking. There is silverware, appliances, and everything you need to make just about any type of meal. Every room is fully decorated to fit the mountain atmosphere. The details and thought put into each room is extraordinary. The views and the outdoor environment is by far the greatest part of the property. Everything was absolutely breathtaking. We will definitely return to visit again. Thank you again for a memorable experience with our family.

Beauty all around!

Our stay at Cliffside Falls was very enjoyable! Views of the mountains on one side of the house, and the beauty and soothing sound of the rushing mountain stream and falls on the other side! Absolutely amazing

We had a group of 13 with ages from babies to grandparents and all had a most wonderful time. The house is beautiful, spacious, clean and completely equipped with just about anything you could ask for. All of the bedrooms were lovely in different ways and beds are extremely comfortable. The views were gorgeous. The outside grounds were as well equipped as the inside of the house, with many chairs, decks, yard games and fire pit with wood provided. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

We booked Cliffside Falls for a couples retreat and it exceeded our expectations. There was no need to leave the property as Rick and Corinne have thought of every detail. The communication before we even got to the house was fantastic. Quick prompt replies to a variety of questions were received. The house was beautiful and fully stocked for our enjoyment. The outside areas of the house were enjoyed by our group. We had a large group and we had plenty of room for dinners, gathering together and sleeping. I totally recommend this house to anyone looking.

Excellent stay!

There is not 1 item we would recommend improving upon. The whole house/amenities/ communication , etc, exceed all expectations in a house rental. Everything was so clean and well maintained. All bedding, furnishings, etc were of excellent quality. There was nothing in the kitchen that was lacking. It had everything you would expect and many items in abundance! Our group of 10 think it was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us

Stunning property but challenging hike to waterfalls

Everything was amazing! The views, house, and yard were even better than in the pictures. There's a ton to do at the house like corn hole, horseshoes, etc and two different hikes: the stream and the waterfall. Our 5-year-olds were able to do the hikes but we did not bring the toddlers. The hosts were so great, accommodating, and communicative. In fact, we left something and they shipped it back to us! Have a plan for going places by downloading a map. We visited Smoke Hole Caverns and the fishery. No one wanted to leave and we will definitely be back!

Cliffside Falls - amazing in every way!

My large family group of 15 (aged 11 to 85) had the most wonderful vacation, largely due to the most beautiful, well-appointed vacation home we've ever stayed at. So much attention to detail from the moment we arrived to a wonderful welcome basket of goodies and personalized note. My three adult children are all cooks and were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was, which made it easy to prepare large family meals with every kitchen tool you could imagine and then some. The home was super clean and comfortable. Everywhere we looked there were little extra touches and notes to explain things. We loved pursuing all the books, pamphlets and information regarding the area. We enjoyed the game room, and my grandchildren spent most of their time there. The waterfall and mountain views are amazing and spending time on the patios was my favorite. There were plenty of different seating areas was nice. We were never bored with all the things there are to do without ever leaving the property. I could go on and on... my family kept thanking me over and over for choosing the perfect place... we hated to leave and hope to return again someday!!! Rick and Corrine were amazing hosts, thank you for everything!

Ran out of superlatives!

I have run out of superlatives for this property. Rick and Corrinne have done an utterly amazing job providing the perfect getaway for a large group. From the outfitting of the house, to the thoughtful, little things, everything was beyond expectation. The panoramic view is instantly calming; as if that were not enough, the waterfall sound in the background soothes the soul. We had many crystal clear nights seeing thousands of stars, and shooting stars....awestruck is the closest I could describe that sky. Rick and Corrine were solicitous, informative, and communicative prior to and during our stay. I cannot recommend this property more highly! We look forward to returning to this very special place.

From the first moment we set eyes and ears on the sights and sounds of Cliffside Falls we knew this was a very special spot on earth. With its spectacular mountain views and captivating waterfalls we knew we wanted to share it with our family, our friends and with others who we would get to know while sharing this special property. It's close enough to downtown Moorefield to pick up supplies or enjoy a nice meal at a local restaurant but far enough away from town to deliver a peaceful, private and serene setting for a perfect get-away weekend.

The fact that almost every room in the house has a different and breathtaking view is one of the reasons we fell in love with Cliffside Falls. High quality furnishings and luxury bedding make for a resort-like experience. Decks, private balconies, overlooks and a screened-in porch provide numerous vantage points from which you can enjoy the sounds of the cascading waterfalls, the never-ending mountain views and the sights and sounds of local birds and wildlife. In the evening with clear skies the wide celestial view is breathtaking. The hot tub is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking, biking or skiing or just sit on the deck with your favorite beverage. That first cup of coffee or tea in the morning tastes even more special when it's enjoyed on the lovely porch as you watch the rising sun illuminate the mountains. We love to listen to the melodic tones of the wind chimes as a gentle breeze moves through the trees. There are numerous spots on the property that provides an awesome natural backdrop for photo shoots such as the waterfalls, rushing stream and mountain vista views.
