We've stayed any many rental properties and this one was by far the best stocked!! From the kitchen with more than enough pots/pans, plates & utensils to every bathroom having hand soap and lotion. Plenty of towels including beach sized for the hot tub. The beds were all very comfortable. We had a great time!

We stayed here for a family vacation. The house is spacious and well stocked. Some of the young adults enjoyed climbing around the waterfalls. We took a day trip to Black Water Falls state park. It was worth the trip. We went into Moorefield a couple of times. We highly recommend Genaro’s for their pizza (their Brooklyn pizza was fantastic) and Sweets and Treats for their ice cream. Would stay here again!

Complete Oasis in the Woods

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, spacious cabin! It was absolutely perfect for our large family—plenty of room to spread out, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The cabin was immaculately clean, exceptionally well-stocked, and had everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to cozy extras.The views were breathtaking and made our mornings and evenings especially peaceful. Check-in was seamless, and the communication with the owners was outstanding—timely, clear, and helpful throughout our stay.This has truly been our best VRBO experience yet. Our stay was amazing. To start, the communication with Rick was outstanding. He answered all of our questions before arrival and while we were there. We stayed with our extended family and had an incredible time. The hosts have covered every detail imaginable around this property. Beauty all around!

Our stay at Cliffside Falls was very enjoyable! Views of the mountains on one side of the house, and the beauty and soothing sound of the rushing mountain stream and falls on the other side! The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, and lots of games, toys, and activities for the whole family!

A beautiful location for a group gathering

The most spectacular location I've ever had the opportunity to stay - the house literally overlooks rushing waterfalls. The grounds and house are well kept and appointed as you would expect for this price range. Hiking and outdoor opportunities are plentiful and right outside your door. Our reunion group universally loved the stay and we hope to come back soon!

Beauty and Relaxation

Family Vacation

This beautiful house had ample room for the 16 of us. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare our meals every night. We all loved looking at the mountains from all of the decks and from the living room. It was a short drive to town for the pool and grocery stores. This is a house that we all highly recommend and would stay there again if / when we take our Family vacation back to West Virginia.

Best family spot!

We just returned from a top notch vacation with my whole family and couldn’t have been more pleased! Every detail is thought of and it was impeccably maintained. The property is magical from the beautiful waterfalls to sitting around the fire pit under the fabulous stars. Lots of bedrooms and a great playroom with a wide array of games. Owners were very attentive and helpful at every turn. Definitely recommended for a group that just wants to just enjoy the property or use as a home base for neighboring activities. Can’t wait to go back!

Cliffside Falls is awesome!!

The communication before we even got to the house was fantastic. Quick prompt replies to a variety of questions were received. The house was beautiful and fully stocked for our enjoyment. The outside areas of the house were enjoyed by our group. We had a large group and we had plenty of room for dinners, gathering together and sleeping. I totally recommend this house to anyone looking.

My Husband and I rented Cliffside for a small family reunion !! There are not enough words to say how beautiful, serene, and absolutely peaceful this property is . Unique and amazing

My 3 brothers and I leased Cliffside for a week in September and were 100% pleased. Where else can you rent a nice home adjacent to a waterfall that gently roars all day and night? The home was thoughtfully furnished. The hot tub was excellent. We loved the decks and porch and big barbecue. From the deck, you can look out at the green velvet ridges and not see one other house - amazing! Cheryl was clear and responsive communicator. Thanks Cheryl and Marty for a once in a lifetime VRBO expreience!

Stunning property but challenging hike to waterfalls

Everything was amazing! The views, house, and yard were even better than in the pictures. There's a ton to do at the house like corn hole, horseshoes, etc and two different hikes: the stream and the waterfall. Our 5-year-olds were able to do the hikes but we did not bring the toddlers. The hosts were so great, accommodating, and communicative. In fact, we left something and they shipped it back to us! Have a plan for going places by downloading a map. We visited Smoke Hole Caverns and the fishery. No one wanted to leave and we will definitely be back!

Excellent location!

My friends and I did A LOT of research in looking for the perfect getaway for Labor Day weekend. This place won out not just in price, but also location, space, amenities and nearby activities. We loved how isolated it was from other homes. There is a trail right next to the backyard that takes you to an unbelievably beautiful waterfall! Pictures do not do it justice! I stayed in the mt. View room which is perfect if you are with a large group and still want some quiet time. Cheryl was so patient with me learning the reservation system and so helpful to us getting there. If you are looking for a home to rent anywhere near this area, choose this place! It’s worth the drive! We will definitely be looking to come back soon!

Ran out of superlatives!

I have run out of superlatives for this property. Rick and Corrinne have done an utterly amazing job providing the perfect getaway for a large group. From the outfitting of the house, to the thoughtful, little things, everything was beyond expectation. The panoramic view is instantly calming; as if that were not enough, the waterfall sound in the background soothes the soul. We had many crystal clear nights seeing thousands of stars, and shooting stars....awestruck is the closest I could describe that sky. Rick and Corrine were solicitous, informative, and communicative prior to and during our stay. I cannot recommend this property more highly! We look forward to returning to this very special place.

I love WV

This was our first time in West Virginia. We are from Virginia and wanted a long weekend getaway. It was a lot of house for the four of us but we couldn't pass up the amenities. This home was perfect. Everything was clean. The decor was beautiful. There were extras everywhere from the welcome snack basket to the labels on the light switches, electronics, cabinets, etc. This was the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen. We enjoyed the gameroom and hot tub. The trails on the property are AMAZING. The town of Moorefield was close by with grocery stores, auto parts, walk in clinic, etc. The food was really good at the local restaurants. It was a nice drive to Petersburg too. The scenery is so beautiful. Visiting this time of year with the leaves off the trees gives an unobstructed view of everything. I was blown away by the colors of winter. It was definitely a unique and unforgettable experience, especially coming from a relatively flat area.

No stone unturned!!

Cliffside Falls... is exactly that! It is a magnificant home built on a cliff with a beautiful water fall and streams running continualy to lull you to sleep at night and relax you during the day, We had a wonderful time- all 15 of us! Everything we needed was provided in the house and outside. There was no stone unturned. Rick and Corrine have thought of your every need when preparing this home for guests. They were very responsive before and during our stay. Never have we stayed in a VRBO home that was so well stocked with dishes and cookware... even down to birhthday candles!! And then as we sat on either one of the porches and took in the view of the mountains--well... it could only have been better if it was fall and they were all different colors. Truly fabulous views and sounds and birds flying over head! The humming birds were also in a plenty! We would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful picturesque place to anyone. It even has a private apt that you can stay in too, if needed! We golfed, took a scenic train ride to see eagles, kayaked, played games, walked the trails around the house and others and a couple of us even climbed the face of Seneca Rocks! Oh... a trip to Lost River State Park was also a treat! It was a perfect vacation and thank you again to our most gracious hosts!!

Firstly, I booked the place 2 weeks before so it did not give Cheryl a lot of time to prepare for our arrival; however, she was still a perfect host and very responsive. The house had everything you need even a full stocked Keurig. There were 14 of us and we still did not smother one another. There was so much space and if you need more, you can rent another part of the house for an additional cost which holds an additional 4-5 people. In total, you could have up to 18 people in the house if needed for a bigger family/group. I am from West Virginia and did not know this gem existed. It is a great experience because there is even some falls you can take pictures with. There is plenty of parking. We have absolutely no complaints. One thing to make sure is that when you arrive is to set your phone to Wi-Fi dialing so you can receive calls and/or texts. I actually rather enjoyed being cell phone free. We would definitely return but want to try the summer months so we can fish. Thanks Cheryl for opening your lovely home to us. Be blessed.

This place was nothing short of amazing! The location was so beautiful and the house was immaculate! My group does a yearly retreat at different places each year. They decided let’s look no more. We will be back next year! Thank you to the very kind hosts! We loved it!
