Everything was great. The house was clean. Pier was very nice for fishing we caught a few catfish. The house had all the essentials you would need. Host was responsive if we had any questions. Would definitely stay again!

The house is set up for water filtration, but it is not in use. Yes the listing does talk about the color and smell, but it is really bad. Showering in that water was not cleansing. This is not the management company fault. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of toiletries and kitchen/laundry supplies to get started. A few issues came up with outside seating, the management company quickly responded. Management was great and quick to assist any questions.

Pros: very responsive host, AC works really well, nice outdoor area, walkable to restaurants, everyone gets their own bathroom. Cons: showers and kitchen were not as clean as I would have liked. Coffee pot was gross and there was hair in the showers. Bathmats and dish rags were not provided. Towels and sheets had stains on them that looked like fake tan, makeup, and maybe even urine. We also felt like the house needed some repairs to be safe. There are loose nails sticking out in the banister and LOTS of soft spots in the floor. You can also see down to the carport below from gaps in the floor in the living room. Also the kitchen table did not feel like it could structurally support the number of people the house is listed for. The benches warped under two very normal sized people. We enjoyed our stay but felt like the upkeep and quality control of the place just needed some work. I also recommend bringing bug spray because the mosquitos were insane due to recent storms.

The home was lovely. We did have a few issues with appliances but the host got right on the matters and it did not affect our amazing time. On the other hand tropical storm Bertha gave us a little scare on our last night but we made out ok.

Fantastic property. The host was quick to respond to any questions, and we found that the Kayaks listed were not usable and I expressed the importance of having these and one of the reasons we selected the property and they made sure to have the kayaks replaced by the time of our arrival within the week. The house is spacious with lots of windows for fantastic views. The kitchen has everything as far as pots and pans and utensils to cook meals but be sure you have everything else needed such as salt, pepper, spices, foil, etc. Great for a large group or just a family of 4. Cannot say enough good things about this property and hope to be able to return.

Excellent - 5 Stars

We had an AMAZING stay at the “Quirky Whale”! The fishing was great and caught several right off of the back of the property out of the canal! We loved the fire pit and made use of the grill and other amenities! Great location and loved the well thought out design and decor of the property! Appreciated so many of the well thought out guest accommodations and especially location! Something for everyone! Our party of 5 adults were very comfortable and would highly recommend! Host was responsive to all requests and prompt communication was right on! Looking forward to another adventure at the “Quirky Whale”!
