The Cozy Cabin – A Historic Chestnut Log Haven in the Holler

Step back in time and into the heart of Appalachian heritage at the Cozy Cabin, a beautifully preserved 186-year-old chestnut log cabin nestled deep in the holler. With its original log walls and hand-hewn charm, this historic retreat offers a one-of-a-kind stay steeped in warmth, tradition, and story.

From the back porch, settle into a rocking chair and take in sweeping views of the meadow and tree-lined ridges—watching mist rise over the holler as birds call through the morning stillness.

Inside, the cabin offers a lovingly curated blend of comfort and history. Downstairs, you’ll find a quaint sleeping area with twin beds, a cozy sitting nook, and a full bathroom. The main living area features a working fireplace, perfect for chilly evenings, along with an eat-in kitchenette equipped for simple meals and slow mornings.

Upstairs, you’ll discover a tucked-away Appalachian sleeping loft complete with additional beds and a half-bath—ideal for families or small groups seeking a restful mountain escape.

Each morning, guests are treated to a homemade breakfast served at 9 a.m. in the nearby farmhouse—fresh, comforting, and always included with your stay. Guests are also warmly invited to reserve dinner any evening during their visit. Our house-made, from-scratch dinners are delivered right to your cabin and include 4–5 seasonal courses for $55 per person. We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies with care.
