WELCOME!
Welcome to our spacious 5th floor penthouse apartment with an elevator, AC and a balcony with a view of the Mediterranean Sea. Settle into a refined & quiet space only 150m from the Gare Saint Charles, Marseilleâs main train station, a short ride to MRS international airport. The Vieux Port only a 15-minute walk away.
This apartment is located close to shops and restaurants, a 5-minute walk from the station, with safe and covered public parking across the street and easy access to the highway to the airport, Provence and the CĂŽte d'Azur.
THE SPACE:
This large 105 mÂČ apartment is the ideal place for an unforgettable vacation or a work project away from home. Located on the 5th (top) floor of a beautiful Haussmann-style 1895 limestone building, it is directly across and high above the Saint Charles train station and offers a view of the Mediterranean Sea from the long, narrow terrace. The apartment is full of light from the 2.5 m tall doors that lead out from the living room and two of the bedrooms onto a long narrow balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee and croissants at a classic bistro table and watch travelers walk down the grand marble staircase from the train station to the city below. All the trains are electric, so the location is relatively quiet and the air quality is good.
The apartmentâs floors are hand-made Iranian travertine tiles, and original paintings grace the walls.
The apartment is fully equipped and features heat pump heating & air conditioning in two bedrooms as well as radiant floor heaters in every room for your comfort.
The three spacious bedrooms have comfortable beds (one bed is 160 x 200 cm and the other two are 140 x 200 cm). There are two bathrooms, one for each side of the apartment, so couples and families can enjoy complete privacy during their stay. The master bathroom has the original sink, bathtub, and shower with their original fixtures from the 1920s, all of which still function.
In addition, you will benefit from 2 separate toilets on opposite sides of the apartment, one with its original sink, for extra practicality and privacy.
The fully equipped kitchen features a three-burner gas stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric kettle, 4-slot toaster, a Nespresso coffee maker and a French press for ground coffee. Basic spices (salt, pepper, olive oil, harissa, etc.) are provided, along with a full complement of pans and baking dishware, plates, bowls, glasses & coffee mugs, wine glasses and silverware.
Towels and bedsheets/duvets are provided. A built-in combination washer/dryer is in the Master Bath.

Marseille is 3000+ year old port city, a vibrant and wonderful melting pot of Greco-Roman, Mediterranean and North African cultures. Gritty and fast-paced, with an eclectic mixture of old and new, the city features world class museums and restaurants, countless beaches and rocky coves to explore. Travel the city by subway, bicycle, electric scooter, bus, taxi or Uberâor just walk the fascinating neighborhoods and plazas, and sit at a cafĂ© terrace to drink it all in.
PARKING:
There is a large, safe and covered parking lot right across the street under the train station. Book online for lower rates 103 Euros a week, 216 Euros a month, 35 Euros for the weekend, 25 Euros for 24 hours (includes unlimited entering & exiting during your reservation period), or just drive in and pay 9.50 Euros overnight rate or 4.70 Euros 1 hour. There is street parking as well nearby all around the station, for 2 Euros an hour and possible to extend via app - but it's competitive, requires a bit of patience, free on Sundays. Free parking on sidewalk directly in front of the building but very competitive.
