Repeat Visitors - Great Space We Keep Coming Back To

My kids love the house, proximity to the beach and food places cannot be beat. We keep renting the place every year, which speaks louder than a longer glowing review, though I did write one of those after our first visit.

Incredible stay! Can’t wait to go back.

We had an incredible time. Li was amazing and the house was perfect. The house has everything you need. We are happy to have another week booked next month. The location is excellent. So close to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful gem in Crystal Beach

We traveled with another family for a sailing event and stayed at this wonderful rental property. The owner met us and walked through all there was to know about the home and surrounding area. The house was well equipped for all ages and very clean. Would highly recommend this rental property and hope to come back for a longer stay!

Ideal accommodation and location

Property was very clean and very well stocked including the panini press. We enjoyed having 3 Queen sized bedrooms which were very comfortable. Also, enjoyed the back patio playing cards in the evening. The location was ideal within walking distance to outdoor, patio restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee shops and the Beach! Swimming was lovely and clear, clean and shallow for the kids. We would definitely stay here again if we come this way in the future. We appreciated having beach chairs and an umbrella.

We were “Welcomed Aboard” in style

Many thanks to our host Li for the amazing accommodations at her “Beach House” in Crystal Beach. Literally steps to the beach, park, eateries, etc. The house was spotless and extremely comfortable. Many little extras that added to our stay. We were blessed with lots of sunshine and beach days and coming back to central air conditioning and a lovely patio with a gas barbecue enhanced our week long stay for sure!!!! We will definitely be back!

A hidden Gem!

This cottage was absolutely beyond our expectations! The cottage itself was very clean and organized. Li has made sure to provide everything you can think of that you might need, from kitchen utensils and appliances to blankets and beach chairs. The beach itself was also a nice surprise, it is very clean and very fine soft sand, it felt like we were at the Caribbean Sea. It was a great experience and we will definitely be coming back. Great Location For Family Fun

My family had a wonderful time in Crystal Beach. The house is clean, very well equipped, and perfectly located right by the beach, as well as great restaurant options. My kids voted to go to the beach every day and never tired of the sand and surf. The home is very well positioned in the community, as you are only walking past four buildings to get to the beach entrance. A few buildings over in the other direction are an excellent Mexican Restaurant, an ice cream shop that stays open late, and a cafe with great breakfast options that opens at 7. We would not hesitate to rent again next year.

Best location

We had a great time on our trip to Crystal Beach this summer. The house is well equipped, organized, and laid out. Li was very responsive to all our needs and was able to answer all our questions very quickly. The couch was a bit uncomfortable and the leather was peeling in several spots, but everything else was great. The house was also very clean and well maintained. The location just can't be beaten. You are just a few steps away from the beach and some of the best restaurants in the area.

Lovely late August stay

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at Sandy Lane. Our host, Li, was sweet as can be and provided us with everything we needed.. the house is lovely and updated and super comfortable. So nice having 2 bathrooms when traveling with a family! The house is right in the middle of all the action and literally steps to the beach - can’t beat the location! Awesome restaurants and ice cream places just steps away too. Li provides you with beach passes, and even has chairs and an umbrella for guests to use. We all had a ball and hope to come back next summer. Thanks again, Li!

Absolute gem!!!

I can't say enough about this property - the location, the host, the community .... It was so perfect, there is not a thing we would have changed! We totally lucked out finding this rental. The host was absolutely wonderful and greeted us with the utmost care and preparation. It was a perfect get-a-away for friends from all over the US. We were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest, had everything we needed to say the least. The beach is only steps away, restaurants, things to do .... it was so stress-free I highly recommend this property. The community and whole area is quaint, locals were wonderful and shops only steps away. The whole stay was amazing for us and it all started with staying at this gem. many thanks for the most memorable, wonderful stay to our host!

All you need..

Li's Beach House and the Beach itself is all you need for a wonderful week holiday ...If you are a couple, or in our case, a 7 member family, the house is perfect and the beach and water likewise. Furthermore , you can grab an ice cream , have a cappucino or a pizza dinner, right down the street. I have rented many places, but Li's obvious care and pride in her home made the stay seamless. She introduced us to every appliance and went over all the routines so important in keeping a place like this in top shape. Which it is...very clean, tastefully appointed, several games for all ages, chairs and umbrellas for the beach, a bbq in the back yard...what more could you ask? We had a great time in a well managed and cared for home. Thanks, Li.

Wonderful Spot for Family Fun

This was our second time staying at the Sandy Lane Beach House, and the first time was last year. That alone should tell you how happy my family and I were with the home itself, and the location. You are so close to the beach it isn't even worth worrying if you forget something and have to briefly saunter back for it. The home is immaculately clean and fully appointed with whatever you could possibly need. The restaurants and cafes are so close and have so many great offerings that you really don't need to cook. The shortest summary review I can give is that you will definitely find plenty to entertain young kids, and they (therefore parents as well) will have a very vacation. Plus, we are already considering times for next year. Thanks again!

Perfect family vacation

We stayed at the Sandy Lane Beach House with the whole family for a week. Wish it would be longer. Everyone, kids and parents, enjoyed it so much. The house is clean, organized and fully equipped – from kitchenware, dining sets, to beach chairs and toys. One can see the place has been renovated and maintained with love and care. It is a true home away from home to be enjoyed and treated with respect. Our host, Li, is wonderful. She cares so much about our vacation experience and have been responsive to our inquiries and needs. We also received great information from her about activities in the area. Crystal Beach is easily one of the top sandy beaches in all of Ontario and Quebec - fine sand, clear water, safe gradual sloping into the water for swimming. The city invests in staff to maintain it well. Some regulations, like no drinking at the beach make it family friendly and safer for kids. There is an adjacent beautiful playground also for younger children to enjoy. The town is great for vacationers, with a nice community, easy access to shops and restaurants – don’t forget to try the delicious Fish & Chips and chicken wings at the South Coast Cook House, or the wide variety of yummy ice cream at a shop around Maplewood cross Erie (forgot the name). These, and much more are a few minutes of walk from the house. Looking forward to returning for another trip to create more fond memories.

A great introductory welcome by our host, a fully stocked cottage, comfortable living space for a restful and relaxing vacation. So nice to be so close to the beach! Excellent area to walk and enjoy! Thank you Li!

Labor Day get away

As mentioned by previous reviewers, the property was on point when it comes to cleanliness. All the bedrooms and bedroom covers smelled and looked clean. The bathrooms and kitchen are the same. The kitchen has everything you will need. The property is within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay. We specially like our early morning walk on the beach when it’s not too busy and having coffee at Crystal Ball.

Perfect summer cottage

My family and friends had a wonderful time at Li’s house. It had everything you need for a home away from home experience, especially with children (cookware, dinnerware, laundry). It was steps away from the beach and we could just run back for lunch or if we forget something. We can’t wait to go back.

Great Location

We stayed at this rental a week ago and it was a great stay, I definitely recommend it. My main reason to book this rental was due to the great reviews and how close it was to the beach. I am not a cottage kind of person I do it mainly for my kids and because of Covid we honestly don’t have a lot of options. The property is located across the street from the beach. It’s extremely convenient when you have a 2 year old who constantly needs something or you have a lot of stuff to take to the beach. You can’t get any closer unless you rent the front water properties. The owner takes pride in the property and it shows. It’s very clean and it has all the things you need like kitchen ware, pots, coffee machine etc. What I thought was very thoughtful was to provide little shampoo conditioner and soap. We packed our own but after a whole day at the beach when you get in all you want is a shower and it was nice not to have to go though our bags to find toiletries. We spent most of our days on the beach and just came back to the cottage for meals and at the end of the day to have dinner. There is a Mexican restaurant a few houses over and an ice cream place which we visited daily. It’s really nice how everything is so close, we even went for coffee to a cute cafe where they had fantastic lattes and pastries. Over all great place, the only downside I would say this cottage has is a small backyard. I enjoy a fire pit at the end of the day with a glass of wine while the kids do s’mores. It’s small but cute with a bbq, a table and a swing bench. We honestly only used it while making dinner because we went out in the evening for either drinks or ice cream. After a whole day on the beach we were tired so it was ok for us but if you enjoy and want a large backyard none of these cottages have any. They are pretty close to each other and backyards are smaller than our backyard at home. The only property we saw with nice outdoor space were the waterfront ones but those are pretty expensive. In the end you come here for the beach and it is one of the nicest beaches and most clean beaches I have seen. The beach is cleaned daily, the water is clear with easy access for younger children. We enjoyed our stay here and I am sure you will as well.

Amazing time at Crystal Beach!

I stayed at the Sandy Lane Beach House with my family and we had an amazing experience! The house is located right across the street from the beach, which was so convenient. We went in September and the weather was great. Plus, there was hardly anyone else on the beach so we had tons of room to spread out, with no worries about social distancing from others (probably due to the time of year as well, as the fact that it's a private beach with passes required to enter, which Li provided). There was also lots of restaurants located on the same street as the house, which gave us lots of options for eating out. From booking to check-in to check-out, dealing with Li was super easy. She was quick to respond to all messages and very accommodating. The lights went out at one point (no major issue, just a simple fix to flip on one of the switches on the main switchboard). I texted Li and within 10 minutes she had sent someone to fix it for us. She made the whole process super easy and had a super helpful manual of local restaurants, attractions, the check-out process etc. The house itself was nice and well-maintained. We had a couple of infants in our group, and it was so helpful that a high chair and pack n play were provided. The house was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, soap, hand towels, toilet paper, propane for the bbq, etc. The only thing we had to bring ourselves were bath towels & beach towels (and this was clearly communicated up-front). Had a great family vacation and would definitely recommend staying here!

VERY CLEAN/ORGANIZED/GREAT LOCATION!!!!

September 13th-15th 2019 Please read my review till the end, you will thank me!!! Had a family reunion and this location was just perfect!!! Just a few steps away from the beach, local stores and restaurants around you. You can wake up in the morning, grab your coffee, a fold out chair that has been provided for the guests, cross the road, sit on the beach and look at the sunrise(really that is how close you are from the beach). Booking was very easy and pretty fast with a response, then spoke to Li(owner) and she was very pleasant to deal with, Li had it all figured out did not need to worry much. When Li said that all you have to bring is your bath towels, beach towels and your favorite coffee if you have a preference(she had coffee already there) she meant it, Li starts you off with pretty much all you need, so do not over pack no need. Met Li upon checkin, showed us the house and the first thing i loved when i walked in was the smell of freshness and clean(i have had bad experiences before so you always worry when you book). What you see in the pictures is what you get!!!!! The linens and blankets where so fresh, you loved getting into bed. The house was so organized and tidy, one of the drawers that had knives inside where placed neatly side by side and not just thrown in the drawer(that is how tidy the house is)that is pretty tidy to me. This house was perfect for my family, i will definitely tell all my friends and if i know of anyone going to crystal beach will let them know about my stay. I have nothing but good things to say!! So now that you got to the end of reading my review, do not search any furthur, go ahead and book before you lose out on a GREAT PLACE!!!! Li is also a phone call away if you need anything. wonderful and close to beach!

we had a great time at this lovely property, meticulously managed and owned, great to be able to be in touch with Li the owner, and superb location! comfy beds and great stay, only thing to be aware of if travelling with young kids, backyard is separate access from the house so the kids need to be accompanied to the yard, but with beach across the street its really not a problem! we had a great stay and there is a tub to bathe young kids. All the kitchen implements you may need to cook any meal are provided, as well as coffee, and salt pepper olive oil etc some nice things to have when cooking! great stay loved it!

Perfect cottage

Don't need to look any further, this place is perfect. Never felt so clean and well equipped with all the amenities needed to feel maximum comfort e en those who are more particular. Plus the location couldn't be beat We will definitely be coming back here every year
