Thank you so much for your positive feedback at the property. The swimming pool has been a really big hit since we installed it a few years ago. We not only provide bath and hand towels and face clothes, but pool towels, as well. We're told the toiletries have been very handy, too. I thought about how I would feel if I went on vacation and forgot my toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, bandaids, hydrogen peroxide , aspirin, Tylenol, antacid, deodorant or cough drops. So, I created a guest basket to include these items. They're a time saver when you want to relax instead of running to the store. We actually provide garbage bags too. The maid usually places them under the kitchen sink. Did you think to look there or maybe she forgot? Again, thanks so much . Glenda

Thanks for balanced review. In defense of some musty smells the entire Adirondacks had major humidity much of the summer and it was a battle. We used damp rids, dehumidifiers and lots of repeated cleanings as it should be. It was an unusual summer in that regard. Beautiful fall weather has now followed and skiing is next. I m truly sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for your cooperation.

We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet expectations. we explained that the stacked bricks shown in your photo were staged for a mason to repair once our calendar allows, to avoid disrupting guests. The basement is equipped with a dehumidifier and DampRid; when you raised a concern, we sent maintenance promptly to check and refresh it and go over your concerns. Our team reported being offered alcohol while onsite, which we kindly declined to maintain professional standards. During your visit, we provided brand-new pool cues. While normal wear can occur in a busy rental, we work hard to keep the property comfortable for short-term stays!

I want to , first of all, thank the, literally, thousands of guests that have enjoyed their stays and built family memories that have passed through the doors of our vacation rentals here in the Adirondack Mountains. It's those great folks that I continue to focus on and thank them for their returned visits as well. They know me and my places. This monsters wife even gave me a hug .. I think she may be an abused woman. Honestly I don t know for sure. We had an electrical feed back in a property due to one of the many storms this summer and last minute offered alternate housing and was definitely an upgrade. This man became irate etc etc. I don t think the website should allow " reviews" like this that are CLEARLY retaliatory but it's their choice and they do. We offer no such properties as he s described. The power company was out and repairswere made the next morning. Bravo to national grid personnel. This guest should have been in Vermont. It's a natural disaster that looks like a war zone from the flooding. Narcissism exists and this man has it in my view.

I have spoken to the maintenance people about the tub plug and one is now there. It was overlooked but had we known we could have had one there for you as well. We'll also take a closer look to see about purchasing more cooking utensils. This is the first complaint about not enough hot water. Many hot water heaters have dual elements and if only 1 is not working it can cause this problem. We will certainly replace it if it's faulty. Glenda

When I saw this review I went out and bought another air conditioner and 2 more fans. We aim to please! The humidity time has been much longer this year than any recent memory. I appreciate the constructive input and always willing to make changes that better serve the guests. Thanks so much and have a great summer! Glenda

If anyone believes this they should invest in the Brooklyn Bridge! What is happening in this country.? There s absolutely nothing wrong with this house. I honestly believe the" drug culture " is part of this situation. There s certainly been no proof or documentation of any of these claims. This property has been helping to build family and friends memories for over 15 years with countless satisfied guests. Our cleaning and maintenance staff as well as myself and husband would not stand by and allow what s described here.

Why would I mismanage my own house. I own it. This guest is not telling the truth. Period. The toilet did have a problem and my husband went himself to the property and put new parts in same day as their arrival. We have hard water here in the Adirondacks and toilets often need upgraded parts. There is a second bathroom that was used exclusively for the first hour only. As for any towels in the dryer, It is possible that housekeeping may have forgotten them, but they would have only been there same day . Certainly, not moldy or worse. Again, just let us know and we're there with fresh ones in hand and an apology. My housekeeping staff is the best, but they are human. Until reading this review I had no knowledge of a burner problem on the stove, but I know now and will get to the bottom of it. May need a new stove, but no word of it until now. It's sad that I wasn't told sooner. It makes me wonder if some guests just want to be critical and mean spirited, or do they want to enjoy their stay and report a problem that can happen at any time . We offer 15 vacation rentals in the area and I have stated many times that we have a full time maintenance and cleaning staff as well as my husband and myself. We try very hard and welcome constructive criticism, but after-the -fact complaining speaks more about the complainer than the house. It's a wonderful house and thousands of fun times and memories have been built there. I know because guests share that with me all the time. Glenda
