Genießen Sie die Aussicht auf den Moores-Teich und den kleinen Berg Pisgah von diesem Gästehaus mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 1 Bad. Vor kurzem renoviert, hat Ihr Urlaubsrefugium eine voll ausgestattete Küche, Holzboden im Wohnbereich, Luft / Wärme. Zur Ausstattung gehören WLAN, Kabel-HD-TV, DVD, Gas Außengrill, Gartenmöbel. Ein zwei Hektar großer Teich ist bereit für das Sitzen und das Beobachten von Fischreihern und einer Vielzahl von Vögeln oder das Füttern der ansässigen Stockenten. Es gibt Meilen von Wanderwegen in den Wäldern auf diesem 50 Hektar großen Grundstück, von moderat bis anstrengend. Es gibt einen eingezäunten Hof für Hunde.

Das Hotel liegt in Fairview, nur 11 Meilen südöstlich der Innenstadt von Asheville (6 Meilen von der Stadtgrenze) und 6 Meilen von der I-40 und dem Blue Ridge Parkway, diese private Residenz ist in dem Land, aber sehr günstig zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend, Dazu gehören das Biltmore Estate, der Lake Lure, der Chimney Rock State Park und (natürlich) die Berge mit ihren spektakulären Ausblicken, Wasserfällen und Touristenattraktionen. Jede Jahreszeit hat ihre Geschenke, von Sommerfesten und Handwerksmessen bis Herbstfarben, Winterferien im Biltmore House und Frühlingsblüten. Es gibt einen Amish-Markt (Bäckerei, frische Eier und andere Leckereien) nebenan ... Über die Weide.
Die Häuser sind NICHTRAUCHER. Wir bitten darum, wenn Sie auf dem Grundstück rauchen, bitte weg von den Häusern und sauber nach Ihnen.

Enjoyable Stay

Property was perfect for our family with plenty of outdoor areas and still convenient to go to town for restaurants and other activities. Owners were very easy to work with and went above and beyond getting something back to us that we had forgotten! Would definitely recommend staying here for a nice relaxing trip to Asheville area!

Very Special Place! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house on the farm. The house itself was really nice and exceptionally clean, with all the amenities you could need. It was a delight to be on a farm with hiking trails and friendly animals – a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The host was incredibly nice and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable getaway!

Great spot!

This place is great, close enough to plenty of hiking, a couple winerys, apple picking, and downtown Asheville. We enjoyed meeting the horses and goats, and the pigs and donkeys next door, too! Clean and comfortable cottage, really felt like we were away from it all! Hope to return soon!

Absolutely amazing experience

We spent almost a week here while we explored the area for a future move. The house is very well stocked if you want to cook and close to all of the Asheville attractions if you want to go out. Chuck and Sarah go above and beyond to make this feel like your home away from home. The goats and Llama were also great along with their new pup Panda. Can't wait to visit again.

Wonderful Trip to Asheville

My boyfriend and I brought our large dog to Moores Pond and had a wonderful time. We met Velvet the llama, and there were 6 kids born while we were there. Sarah and Chuck were very hospitable and helped us with all our needs. We only with we could have stayed longer!

wonderful house in great location

We had a great stay (of 9 nights) at Moores Pond, with our two little kids. Sarah and Chuck were very welcoming! The layout of the house is great, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is a good size and well stocked. Lovely accommodation, lovely area and hosts

We have just spent five days at the Gate House at Moore's Pond Farm with our dog. The cottage is clean, with all the comforts of home, great Internet, A/C, loads of hot water, great dishwasher, washer and dryer, nice furniture etc. Wonderful, colorful, fresh eggs on our arrival! The farm is lovely, the walk to the Amish Market is short and beautiful, the ducks, goats, cat and llama charming, and the owners, Chuck and Sarah, very friendly, helpful and charming also! Very easy drive into Asheville or over to Lake Lure. Will definitely stay again.

Nice, cozy cottage

Nice, quiet location in the woods. Just what I needed. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway & Asheville. Nicely stocked kitchen. Enjoyed trail on the property. Appreciated the toiletries, etc. Most places do not provide those kinds of things. Hope to return sometime in the future.

Wonderful!

We stayed at Chuck and Sarah's gate house for one week, with our two kids. It was really peaceful and beautiful. The kids loved visiting the goats, and Chuck and Sarah's dog, Panda! They had such a good time walking around on the property! We spent our time exploring lots of little towns around the Asheville area, and this place was perfectly situated, and allowed us to do this easily. We have visited Asheville many times before, and this was definitely our favorite of the places we have stayed. Hopefully, we will make it back there soon! Highly recommend!

Great Stay in the Smoky Mountains

We loved our stay at the Gate House. My son was attending summer camp in the area so the rest of my family stayed for the duration to enjoy the mountains. The house is very clean and comfortable, and pet friendly. It has everything anyone could need, especially in the kitchen. Chuck and Sarah were wonderful and even left the lights on for us for our late arrival. My daughter was able to bottle feed a baby goat! The location is perfect - just far enough away to be secluded, but fifteen minutes from everything! We visited Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and rafted on the French Broad River. Great place for vacation.

Lovely place Ideal location

The gate house at Moore's Pond was a lovely location for our family long weekend retreat. The view out the window and from the porch was pleasant. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped. The trails up the hill were a bonus and gave me a good place to stretch my legs in the morning. The tinkling of goat bells and the presence of the llama created a most memorable experience. The hosts, Chuck and Sarah, enjoyed showing us their goat operation and the goats were the most friendly I have ever met. Asheville is a short drive away, but the rural atmosphere at Moore's pond feels much farther away.

Didn't seem to be a "farm" anymore. Checkout is at 10am and there seems to be no leeway. There was a guy sitting outside in his car at 9:30 am waiting for me to leave. Which is fine. It's their place, their rules. Great location, quiet, peaceful. If you're into hiking it's close to Chimney Rock / Lake Lure and many other places.

Private/secluded getaway

Very secluded and quiet getaway but 20 minutes from Ashville and Biltmore. Other reviewers commented on the property being close to a shooting range and you could hear shots during the daytime while outside, didn't notice it so much while inside the house. The house, furnishings were nice and comfortable--beds were really comfortable. Enjoyed meeting Sarah and Chuck and all of the goats (especially Peewee) and the Llama. We were greeted with a basket of fresh farm eggs, but we didn't cook breakfast while there--very nice though! We spent one day driving to Cherokee and driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway--best part of our weekend! Will definitely stay here again when we plan another trip to Asheville.

Relaxed and peaceful but still very close to Asheville

We loved our visit to the farm!! This place is our ideal vacation rental: remote, quiet and has space to let our dogs run free, but also close to outdoor activities and Asheville. We spent 3 full days at this cottage and hiked the trails every day. We were welcomed with fresh eggs which were delicious, and found everything we needed for meals at home in the cottage (plus a highchair which was helpful since we have a baby). Visiting the goats and llama was fun, although I didn't manage to pet the llama despite my best efforts. The sandwiches at the Amish market were so tasty! We stocked up on all kinds of things there to get us by during our visit. We brought our bikes and rode on a paved trail near the Biltmore, and visited a couple of state parks and national forests in the area. The cottage is perfectly located for easy access to all of the places we wanted to explore. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Great getaway!

Loved the Gate house! We booked it for our honeymoon. We just wanted to take a long weekend to get away from our busy life. It was off away from the hustle and bustle of the city. But close enough for a 20 minute drive into Asheville. The property is gorgeous and surround by mountains. The fall colors were so beautiful. It was great getting to bring our dogs for the long weekend. We visited the goats which I loved getting to pet them and we plan to come back sometime in April to see all the baby goats. Chuck and Sarah were great and super helpful. The Amish market was a so close you could walk to it! Just follow the private drive to the end and there well be signs for the market. Their sticky buns were amazing! We got to stock up on some butter too. Just a great getaway to relax an stay in. We did do the night tour of the Biltmore which was so neat. It was just 15 minutes away from the house. Love this place! You won't regret booking here!

Very peaceful.

We spend the Christmas holidays at a quiet and peaceful home on a small mountain side (we're flat landers). It was about fifteen minutes away from the Biltmore Village and the Biltmore estate. Another two miles you are in the center of Asheville and all the excitement that happens in that interesting city. This home was spacious enough for extended family to stay. We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas day together with family from Tennessee and Asheville. We had the opportunity to bring our dog and her favorite spot was sitting at the front door looking out at the field and mountains. We spent most of our time in Asheville, but did see one morning the goats grazing in the field across from the house. Since it was very rainy, we did not get the opportunity to explore the rest of the property at this time. The owners had stocked the shelves with dishes/pots/pans/towels/and many more amenities that you would find in your own kitchen. We would recommend this place for those who have small families, dogs, and love to live in the outskirts of a busy city. Its a great place to regroup and take in the beautiful scenery.

Amazing grounds, trails, privacy, beauty; Adequate house

My wife, our two dogs and I spent 15 days at Moore's Pond Farm. The owners were great, kind and went out of their way to make us welcome. Since we drove in from out of state, they were actually willing to receive 3 boxes and a set of golf clubs before we arrived! Then on the Sunday that was our first full day, they went on a 20+ minute hike around the trails on the property to orient us. The house we rented was very private, not even visible from the owner's home. Each morning we took our two well behaved dogs, off-leash on a walk around the owner's home and up on trails that climb up the mountain behind the property. This made our stay super easy. Getting to Asheville was simple and all the things you might need were close in Fairview. Why I cannot give this 5 stars is because the house itself is showing its age and really needs updating. Things worked ok, but everything is a little old. For those that would be coming from city water, this is well water and some people do not like how it tastes or how it cleans. If rustic is perfect for you, then you will not have complaints. For us, holes patched, fresh paint, yard and dog area cleaned up would have improved our view of this property.

Peaceful get away

We spent fall break with our two teenage boys here and had a lovely time. The surroundings were lovely with the fall colors changing! Enjoyed the private hiking trails and the walk to the farm to feed the sheep. Close enough to explore all of Asheville with ease. The house was clean, well furnished, and we found it to be just as advertised. Would love to stay here again!

A Perfect Change of Pace and Scenery

Leave the traffic and concrete behind and enjoy the views of the rolling pastures while having a cup of coffee on the front porch. The location and house were exactly what I wanted to run away to. It is a cozy, little gem tucked into the woods on a much larger farm full of livestock, pastures, a lake and hiking trails. There were personal touches in the house from little chocolates to a gift of eggs from their chickens that made the check in experience a welcoming one. You could find plenty to do on the property during a short stay, but I did venture out to a couple of breweries in Fairview. Both had excellent offerings, and both were dog friendly. Elaina was quick to respond and was very attentive when I had a couple of questions during my stay. I would love to visit again during the fall season!

Wonderful mountain home & love the farm

We spent a week here with our 1.5 year old daughter and dog enjoying the mountains. It was fun to explore the farm - hiking trails, feed the sheep, and enjoy the views. We got an exceptional view of the full moon rising over the mountains from the front deck which was a nice surprise! The home seems older, but was well kept and very clean throughout. The bed was soft and comfy, the AC worked very well in the hot summer days, and we appreciated having coffee and sheep food provided. And the Amish store nearby - super tasty sandwiches, cinnamon buns, and cookies! The owner was friendly and responsive to all of my questions. We really appreciate being able to bring our dog with us on vacation too. My only small quibble is that the cleaning crew showed up in the driveway at 9:45, felt like they were pressuring us to get out of there which I did not appreciate. It was a great stay all in all though.
