February 9, 2025....We are up and running!! We experienced the impact of Hurricane Helene like so many others... grateful to everyone working to return Asheville's beauty and prosperity! Our views are still spectacular...more mountain ranges to see; a few less trees! We are so very grateful for our guests that choose our home for their stay...thank you for boosting the Asheville economy with your visit and supporting the many small businesses in the area. We need it and we want you to come!!

Getaway to our mountain home located just south of Asheville, NC in the Arden/Royal Pines area. A scenic drive up the mountain road where beauty and peacefulness await you at the top! Best part... the 5 minute ride down to grab coffee, groceries, or dine out...truly, an Illusion of Seclusion.

Our house is cozy, comfortable, clean and convenient! Plenty of seating in the living room, plus the bar area; dining table seats 6 and views the mountains from the large windows! Barstools at the counter allow for additional dining! Kitchen is just like home...easy to work in and fully equipped with all you need!

Large deck overlooks the mountains and city lights; upper deck off the master bedroom is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee on two hand-made high boy adirondacks as the sun comes up. Views from inside the house are just as amazing from the french doors and large windows!

NEW, CLEAN and STOCKED!!

The remodeled home features new flooring, new furnishings, new bedding and mattresses, new kitchen and new appliances! Lots of throw blankets are available. Mattresses and pillows protected with casings. Plenty of hotel quality bath towels, hand towels and face towels!

Our professional cleaner is top notch; attention to detail is unparalleled! Current CDC cleaning guidelines are in place to make you feel comfortable in choosing our place to stay! We allow 3 days between guests for the added comfort buffer!

The house is fully stocked so you don't need to bring much! Full shampoos, conditioners, and body washes in each bathroom. Makeup removal options include mircrocellular water and pads, individual makeup wipes, qtips and cotton balls! Laundry pods for the full size washing machine; dishwasher pods included. Plenty of paper products, to include paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, paper plates and cups, foils, baggies, and saran wrap.

Coffee station is fully stocked with a Keurig coffeemaker, plenty of regular and decaf pods, creamer and sugar options! Other small appliances include toaster, air fryer, blender, clothes steamer, hair dryers. Plenty of dishes for both inside and outside use. Well stocked with a variety of cooking utensils, oils, and a spice rack!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!

We are in South Asheville, just several miles from Downtown Asheville, where you will find the arts, eclectic shops, unique restaurants, microbreweries, and street bands nightly! Sierra Nevada and New Belgium tours are worth it! We are so close to the highly rated Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn...both must sees during your trip!

For a more subdued trip, the Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes from the house, with lots of biking and hiking trails. Collier Cove Reserve is on our mountain, within walking distance! Pisgah Bent Creek mountain biking trails are perfect for avid bikers. Zen Tubing and French Broad kayaking and ziplining are also adventures to check out! Or a simple walk around the neighborhood will offer you beautiful views and an accelerated heart rate!
Our mountain is popular…we have neighbors around and some within view of our place! Most have been here for many years and we enjoy them.
KIDS! and PETS!

We love kids; I have two of my own that managed to get to adulthood and successfully fly the coop! However, our home is not suitable for infants or kids under the age of 5. Please let me know in your inquiry how old your kids are. My policies say 13 and younger must be approved…I’m super accommodating but I do want to know their ages before I accept!! Thank you!!

We love dogs too, but ask that they not be allowed on the bedding or sheets. I provide “dog blankets” on each bed for your dogs to use…dog hairs are very difficult to get out of our clean sheets and bedspreads! If your dog is crate trained, that’s even better. A dog kit with paw towels and food mat is at the house! We also have a medium sized dog crate at the top of the basement stairs.

DRIVEWAY!

As expected, the driveway is typical for a mountain home driveway... worth mentioning that it is steep, but also with parking options for all vehicle (and driver!) types! We suggest backing down the driveway with your front wheel or all wheel vehicle...it's easier to get out if you are backed down; easy to unload at bottom of drive. There are also up to 3 gravel spots at the top of the driveway as well; walk down the staircase, which is nicely lighted during the evening, and equipped with a handrail.

OUTSIDE!!

You are in Asheville to enjoy this spectacular part of the country...whether you stay at the house or venture offsite to the incredible opportunities that Asheville offers, you can find plenty to do!

The main level deck is perfect for outdoor dining and will give you beautiful views of the mountain sunsets and leaf changing during our seasons! We have a large table and chair and plenty of outside dishes and cups for you to enjoy! The deck also has Adirondacks for your viewing pleasure...comfy and weather proof! Enjoy the ambient lights that surround the deck and make it glow! The grill is on the deck, ready for your cookout and kabobs!

The fire pit is situated on the side of the house, and has up to five adirondacks to cozy up to the fire! S'more sticks are provided! Starter firewood is also included. You'll enjoy views of the forest and the mountains while sipping your hot cocoa or other adult beverage! Just remember to practice fire safety, please!!

Bears have been sighted at the property. Bear spray, bells, and flashlights are provided for your use. Use proper caution and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Do not leave food in cars, on decks, or anywhere outside. Use provided receptacles for trash and recycling and be sure lids are closed properly.
